Sounds great. Let’s teach them the truth. All truth. Even the painful truth. Denying the racism that’s woven into our society isn’t teaching truth. Teach the truth. Allow our children to form opinions based on true history, not the whitewashed version you propose.

As a model for what you want schools to teach, can you begin with the history of how Missouri became a state?

What would you teach? Would you teach that Missouri’s first constitution prohibited the entry of free Negros and mulattoes?

First. Critical race theory isn’t taught at our schools. Second, you can’t just pick and choose the history taught. History can be both bad and good. Our kids can take it!
