This evening, on Instagram:

Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight. If you haven’t already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most. As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country.

Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.

I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.

I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice. Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make. I also want to say, especially to first time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered! I also find it’s much easier to vote early. I’ll link where to register and find early voting dates and info in my story.

With love and hope,

Taylor Swift
Childless Cat Lady

There you go.

Yesterday:

Nikki Haley
[May 22, 2024]
I was asked today at Hudson Institute whether I would vote for Donald Trump or Joe Biden, here’s my answer:
[….]

She’s voting for Donald Trump (r).

It’s a cult.

Some of the responses:

Very disappointed to hear this. I was so glad when you finally took a stand against him, and now you are back on board with all the other sellouts that are bowing down to him. Our country deserves better, and you know it!

[….] yes, she was singing a different tune on the campaign trail…the folks who believed her message in February and voted for her were duped into believing she was sincere in her vision for this country. Haley only has vision for herself. I request a refund on the shirt I purchased with your name on it, Nikki.

Unfortunate that you made this decision, when you could have been a force for good, and for protecting our democracy. All the people who voted for you, thinking you were a legitimate alternative to the craziness — you have betrayed them.

So disappointing. I had such high hopes for you. You’ve definitely let us down. I can never again support someone (you) who can blindly support the worst person in the world to be the US president (tRump). I pray God steps in and protects, so that tRump can never again be in any position of power, much less the US President.

I truly hope your children grow up to be just like Trump . May your grandchildren grow up like him.
You truly have no self respect. Stormy Daniel’s has better morals than you do.

Very disappointed in you. I thought at least here was a republican that I could have faith in. A woman with strong convictions and would not sell out.

The fact that you would vote for Trump is so disappointing. We all had higher expectations for you. Instead, you just look like any other political grifter. If only someone would have some spine to stand up against this madness. But, apparently, you are not it.

Nikki I cannot believe you caved. I’m so disappointed. As a life long Republican who backed you, I will never ever EVER support Trump. There are things bigger than politics. Like the difference between right and wrong. Ugh. Can I get my money back?

Your supporters will remember what you said about him, who he is, and what he represents. You gave them hope that you were someone who represented their values and stood up for what is right separate and away from his toxicity. You didn’t do yourself any favor by endorsing him with your future vote and they will remember that in the future.

Reading the news and they are reporting you will be voting for Trump. To say this is a slap in the face to your supporters, especially after you told us all the reasons why we shouldn’t vote for him, is an understatement. Shame on you!

To label you as a hypocrite is an understatement. Will never vote for you again

I thought you had the guts to stand against such an unfit person. All respect lost!

Very disappointed to hear this. What happened to all the things that Nikki said about it is better for the country to have some policy differences with someone in the White House, than to have a lunatic? What happened to country over party?

What a sad calculated cynical move. A serial con man who actively courts white supremacists, is morally/ethically bankrupt. Not smart but mean as hell. I hope you like what you see in the mirror in a year—better yet, what you see in a decade or so.

After what you said about him, which was true? I had faith in you, as an Independent, I thought I would vote for you. Felt bad when you had to suspend your campaign. Now I’m glad, because you’ve proved who you aren’t.

Character counts if you want to be president of the USA. At least, it should.

Here I thought you may be one of the few remaining republicans with a moral compass and a backbone. Oh well
“He’s unfit for office” – Nikki Haley

Voted for you. You certainly did not describe Trump. Won’t vote for you again.

Well, I thought you had a some integrity, but I see I was mistaken.

Sold your Soul. This country deserves better.

You are the personification of hypocrisy and self-interest. You have shown that your words mean absolutely nothing if you are willing to vote for a man who you called “diminished” and “unhinged”, a man who encouraged his “followers” to attempt an insurgency. Your willingness to vote for a man who you even said has no respect for the members of our military, shows that you love a potential political future more than you love and respect your husband, a national guardsman. How can you even look at him tonight? You have shown that you never were, are not now, and never will be a servant leader. Those two words, “servant” and “leader” are not part of your DNA. Thank goodness you have shown us all what a weak and cowardly person you truly are before any of us supported you further. The only good thing your announcement did today was make me admire and appreciate Liz Cheney even more.

So stupid. Disappointed beyond belief. Are you even thinking about America….

There is nothing Nikki Haley could say or do now that would EVER restore her credibility or integrity with me. This is exactly what Americans are sick and tired of. Politicians with no backbone, moral compass or principles.

This should put the last nail in the coffin
They do not care about us. They do not care about Democracy, freedom or human rights. Republicans only care about power, greed and themselves.

I am disgusted with your announcement! Sure help turn the USA into a dictatorship not to mention not being able to stick to your values but vote for an orange monster. I definitely regret wasting my vote on you in the Republican primary. And I am so mad at myself for believing in you.

So disappointed. Sold your soul indeed. The hypocrisy will follow you. Thought you were honest and had integrity. Guess I was wrong. Seems to be the story these days. And sell out to Trump.

There are over 3,000 more comments.

“Make America Great Again” – in Russian.

Definitely a deal breaker

4th Congressional District, Donald Trump, endorsement, facebook, Fascist pig, Mark Alford, right wingnut, social media

Missouri’s 4th Congressional District has the potential to get out of the frying pan and…get right back into it.

Mark Alford (r) [August 2022 file photo]..

Yesterday:

Mark Alford

Today I was driving through the Grandview triangle when I got a phone call from a strange number. The woman on the other end asked if this was Mark Alford and then told me President Trump wanted to speak with me.
We talked for about five minutes and had a great conversation about the sad state of our country and what we need to do to take back America.
I’m honored to have his endorsement.
[….]

Did he grab Mark by the pussy? Just asking.

A couple of responses differing from hundreds of others posted by members of the cult:

[….]I don’t “hate” anyone even Trump. And you saying “he said stupid things but his policies were better”… those policies apparently include inciting riots, encouraging hate and injury to those who do not agree with him. Stealing classified documents and lying about it. Admiration for other country’s evil tyrannical “presidents ” like Kim Jong-Un and Jair Bolsonaro. He’s delusional and wants to be a dictator which is why he has managed to brainwash so many into believing that he did not lose the 2020 election.

And liking or not liking Mark Alford has nothing to do with it. Mark claims to be a Christian man with Christian morals and values, if that is the case then being supported by Trump should be the last thing he’d want. Trumps values/morals do not align with those that Mark claims.

I’m not a republican nor a Democrat and I’ve voted for each at different times in the past. Personally I feel we need to get away from the aged, on the verge of dementia candidates we’ve been given as choices. We need to rise above MAGA and Trump mentality or face another civil war because of the hate encouraged by it.

That’s embarrassing you would support and believe anything that horrible man says. Booooo

All of the other responses, not so much.

Bad combover. Check. Too long red tie. Check. Orange spray tan. Check. Tiny hands. Check. Cluelessness. Check…

That’s not how this works…

endorsement, Eric Greitens, missouri, Rudy Giuliani, social media, Twitter

Endorsements are supposed to be a good thing.

Late last night:

Eric Greitens @EricGreitens
Honored to have the support of America’s Mayor— my friend, @RudyGiuliani.
[….]
10:24 PM · Mar 22, 2021

Some of the responses:

The predators caucus.

The guy with crap running down the side of his head endorses the guy running for Missouri Senate. Nice!

Four Seasons Total Landscaping

Heh.

I think @StormyDaniels would have been a better endorsement.

Rudolph Giuliani : Russian Asset [….]

“Make America Great Again” – in Russian.

He’s honored to have a Russian asset and seditionist as a friend. This man is by proxy a Russian asset. Do we keep allowing these types to infiltrate government? I think not.

If ever there was a winning endorsement. Criminals of a feather…

This has to be one of the saddest endorsements ever.

Second only to any endorsement of Josh Hawley (r).

You realize that’s Total Landscaping for you dude, but yeah, whatever fancy your imagination.

I don’t know who you are or what you’re running for…but…..Rudy Guiliani endorsed you?

This isn’t the *positive* endorsement you were looking for….

I don’t think you know what the word “honor” means.

Anyone that thinks this is an endorsement to brag about is laughable!

You really deserve his endorsement.

And you’re…. proud of this and broadcasting it?

Can’t wait for the next press conference: Four Seasons Total Campaign Fraud

Grifters are supportive of other grifters, birds of a feather flock together or some other metaphorical shit like that.

That’s not really anything to brag about, chief

You two are so well suited !

Yikes. Do you have a campaign manager?

Creepy. No, I meant you

And on and on…

endorsement, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, president

“…I believe in Joe Biden and will do everything in my power to help elect him the next president of the United States.”

Senator Kamala Harris (D) has endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden (D) for president.

Senator Kamala Harris (D) [2019 file photo].

The statement:

[….]

“When I started my run for president, I said America needs a president who reflects the decency and dignity of the American people; a president who speaks the truth; and a president who fights for those whose voices are too often overlooked or ignored.

“I still believe that to this day. That is why I am proud to announce I am endorsing my friend, Vice President Joe Biden, for President of the United States.

“I got to know Joe more than a decade ago through his son – my dear friend, the late Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden. As attorneys general during the financial crisis, Beau and I were leaders in the fight to take on the biggest banks in the nation and secure billions of dollars in relief for homeowners across the country. And I can tell you that Beau inherited his strength of character, selfless courage, and commitment to public service from his father, Joe.

“As I reflect on my own time on the campaign trail spent listening to people’s hopes, dreams, fears, and daily struggles, I know what Americans want and deserve in their next commander-in-chief.

“Americans deserve a president who confronts the daily challenges facing working people with the same determination and steady leadership they apply to addressing the most serious crises facing our nation. We deserve a president with the knowledge and experience to reassure a nation weary of tweets, lies, and incompetence. And we deserve a president who speaks to the best of who we are and challenges us to live up to our ideals.

“There is no one better prepared than Joe to steer our nation through these turbulent times, and restore truth, honor, and decency to the Oval Office. He is kind and endlessly caring, and he truly listens to the American people. You can see in his eyes how he takes to heart the experiences of mothers and fathers working to make ends meet and worrying about whether their children can be safe in their classroom, or young people who fight tirelessly to tackle climate change as they ask for a fair shot at the future in front of them. And with a lifetime in public service, Joe has a proven track record of getting things done.

“Like many women, I watched with sadness as women exited the race one by one. Four years after our nominee, the first woman to win the nomination of a major party, received 3 million more votes than Donald Trump but still lost, we find ourselves without any woman on a path to be the Democratic nominee for president. This is something we must reckon with and it is something I will have more to say about in the future. But we must rise to unite the party and country behind a candidate who reflects the decency and dignity of the American people and who can ultimately defeat Donald Trump.

“I truly believe our nation is at an inflection point. And the decision voters make this November will shape the country and the world our children and grandchildren will grow up in. I believe in Joe Biden and will do everything in my power to help elect him the next president of the United States.”

[….]

Uh, yep.

Secretary Julián Castro Endorses Senator Elizabeth Warren for President

SAN ANTONIO, TX (January 6, 2019) – On Monday, January 6, 2019, former Obama Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Mayor of San Antonio, Texas, Julián Castro, endorsed Senator Elizabeth Warren for President of the United States. In a video released Monday, the former presidential candidate explained why he believes Senator Warren is the most qualified, best-equipped candidate to win the nomination, defeat Donald Trump, and build a nation where everyone counts.

[….]

“Theres one candidate I see who’s unafraid to fight like hell to make sure America’s promise will be there for everyone,” said Secretary Julián Castro in the video. “Who will make sure that no matter where you live in America or where your family came from in the world, you have a path to opportunity too. That’s why I’m proud to endorse Elizabeth Warren for President.”

Following his endorsement, Secretary Castro will travel to New York to campaign alongside Senator Warren at a joint rally at Brooklyn’s King Theatre.

As a former mayor of San Antonio, Texas, HUD Secretary under President Obama, and groundbreaking presidential candidate, Secretary Castro is among the most high-profile endorsers in 2020, and only the second endorsement from a former 2020 presidential candidate. Secretary Castro inspired millions with his historic campaign—distinguished for his efforts to fight for the most vulnerable people, marginalized communities, the poor, and those left out of the political process.

Behind the scenes: Trump’s power politics
Jonathan Swan 18 hours ago

…Senior Republican officials have told me they’re holding their breath, hoping Trump won’t endorse hardliner Kris Kobach in Tuesday’s Kansas gubernatorial primary. Kobach is as far right as a Republican gets on immigration and voting rights, and Democrats view his potential victory as an opportunity to steal centrist voters…
