Missouri’s 4th Congressional District has the potential to get out of the frying pan and…get right back into it.

Mark Alford (r) [August 2022 file photo]..

Yesterday:

Mark Alford

Today I was driving through the Grandview triangle when I got a phone call from a strange number. The woman on the other end asked if this was Mark Alford and then told me President Trump wanted to speak with me.
We talked for about five minutes and had a great conversation about the sad state of our country and what we need to do to take back America.
I’m honored to have his endorsement.
[….]

Did he grab Mark by the pussy? Just asking.

A couple of responses differing from hundreds of others posted by members of the cult:

[….]I don’t “hate” anyone even Trump. And you saying “he said stupid things but his policies were better”… those policies apparently include inciting riots, encouraging hate and injury to those who do not agree with him. Stealing classified documents and lying about it. Admiration for other country’s evil tyrannical “presidents ” like Kim Jong-Un and Jair Bolsonaro. He’s delusional and wants to be a dictator which is why he has managed to brainwash so many into believing that he did not lose the 2020 election.

And liking or not liking Mark Alford has nothing to do with it. Mark claims to be a Christian man with Christian morals and values, if that is the case then being supported by Trump should be the last thing he’d want. Trumps values/morals do not align with those that Mark claims.

I’m not a republican nor a Democrat and I’ve voted for each at different times in the past. Personally I feel we need to get away from the aged, on the verge of dementia candidates we’ve been given as choices. We need to rise above MAGA and Trump mentality or face another civil war because of the hate encouraged by it.

That’s embarrassing you would support and believe anything that horrible man says. Booooo

All of the other responses, not so much.

Bad combover. Check. Too long red tie. Check. Orange spray tan. Check. Tiny hands. Check. Cluelessness. Check…

Defund law enforcement, eh?

From former news reader Mark Alford’s (r) 4th Congressional District campaign Facebook page:

Mark Alford
2d
What’s the FIRST thing you want the 118th congress to do when we are sworn in Jan 3rd?
[….]

He asked. He got answers from his true believers:

Abolish property tax

There is no Federal Property tax, friend. Talk to your State Reps.

Heh.

Get rid of Pelosi and her puppets!

Bad timing there.

Term limits for all elected officials, and eliminate property taxes

Because the first worked so well in Missouri, the second is a local issue (see above).

Defund the 87000 new IRS agents and the student loan forgiveness plan.

Wait, aren’t IRS agents law enforcement?

Get rid of personal property tax. We pay taxes and then pay again every year

Again, that’s local, not federal.

I agree Term Limits would be a great! This Kansan is pulling for you!

I’m pretty sure this means that they have to vote in Kansas.

Have reasonable abortion laws!

Not with Mark Alford (r).

Term limits, open pipe lines, no tax social security, close borders

You might want to ask Mark Alford (r) about republican plans to get rid of Social Security. No Social Security, no tax on it. Easy peasy.

Replace Pelosi, and then defund the FBI and IRS

Wait, aren’t FBI agents law enforcement?

Revoke the charter of the FBI, defund them, and start over.

They have an agency ready to take over. Федеральная служба безопасности Российской Федерации (FSB).

Put God back in everything they have taken Him out of

By general definition isn’t that impossible? Just asking. Oh, you meant imposing your specific beliefs on everyone else. Sorry.

Help the American people, who was born here and worked and paid taxes

And no sleeping your way through school.

Open up the pipeline from Alaska

Blame Canada. What would Brian Boitano do?

Protect Social Security, strengthen Medicare and more help for keeping the elderly in their home rather than in understaffed facilities at outrageous costs.

See above. They have a plan for getting rid of Social Seurity and you won’t like it.

Limit the power of exec orders and in that get the oil flowing. Then start the Biden Family investigations so the world can see who they really are.

And, a reply from Mark Alford (r):

Mark Alford [….] on it

Interesting.

Make America great again!

See above.

Happy anniversary!

Vicky Hartzler (r) [2021 file photo].

Today:

Vicky Hartzler

The one year anniversary of January 6th highlights the Democrats’ obsession with Donald Trump and the politicization of this unfortunate event. Instead of focusing on the great challenges facing Americans today, such as Inflation hurting families, the border crisis raging on, and our enemies across the globe no longer fearing us, the Left wants to continue living in the past. We MUST change course.

We also must remember that Americans who participated in the Capitol riots last year are still being held in despicable conditions. While these individuals broke the law and should be held accountable, they should not be denied basic rights. The January 6th panel should tour the D.C. jail and ensure that constitutionally protected rights are upheld.

“…The January 6th panel should…”

Wait, Vicky Hartzler voted against the “January 6th” panel.

Insurrection and Sedition (May 19, 2021)

Some of the responses to Vicky Hartzler’s (r) post on Facebook:

`So….
You defend the traitors to democracy.
Got it.

Sometimes, Vicky, the truth is hard to see. Your statements reveal that you are blind to the “dagger at the throat of democracy”. Your failure to support the investigations into the revolt show in a bright light how you are denying your oath to this country. You should be outraged at what happened on 1-6-21 not continuing to spread the BIG LIE. The truth will always come out. The leaders who assisted in this American disgrace will be held accountable. You can either be on the side of the truth and be part of the healing of this country or you can continue your scheme to support those who lie. You have the choice and I encourage you to do what is right for your constituents and country.

“Unfortunate event”, that’s what you call an attempted coup? You are nothing more than a complicit hack.

Interesting that you’re choosing to make a statement on this on your campaign page and not your congressional page.

Sedition, sedition, sedition.

This day will forever mark the shame of Republicans & their insurrection! You cannot reframe it into something else!

The fact that you refer to it as an unfortunate event is telling. You clearly aren’t interested in accountability, since the “unfortunate event” in question wouldn’t have happened if one person had just accepted reality. You dishonor Capitol Hill police who were injured and/or died from the insurrection that day by minimizing what actually occurred. Shameful.

Says the person who buys into and promotes the BIG LIE and voted against the will of the voters twice Immediately after OUR Capitol was attacked and police and people were hurt and died. You should not serve in elected office. Country over your “It’s All About Vicky” propaganda. #jan6insurrection

Oh Vicky. What’s your end game??

Take some selfies in their living conditions.

She won’t.

One of the major issues facing the United States is the division caused by the Republican party, promoting trump’s big lie. Most of the problems could be addressed rationally and reasonably, but for republican obstructionism. You continue to harp on Democrats’ inability to address national problems, but your party takes no positive action. Your hypocrisy knows no bounds. What ever happened to the party of Eisenhower?

It dissolved over 40 years ago.

Vicky you are a joke. Where were you Jan 6 2020? In your bullet proof underwear knowing the coup was happening? You havent helped the Jan 6 committee and if you are a loyal citizen of US sworn to protect the constitution why are you still kissing Trump? What does Trump have over you?

Vicky Hartzler (r) [2016 file photo].

COVID-19, facebook, Ivermectin, missouri, pandemic, social media, WTF?

This morning:

Dennis Newberry – Mayor of Lake Ozark
A dear friend of mine [….] is in a Central MO hospital with Covid. [….] is the owner of [….] MO. I have known him for over 30 years. He keeps his boat at a marina here in Lake Ozark. As a hail merry pass I have procured some “ivermectin” for him and will be driving it to him today. Please pray for cooperation from his caregivers and Hospital admin to allow his loved ones and friends to step in and assist with his life. If we do nothing his life will surely be taken from his 18 year old son, his family and friends. I need your prayers and comments to attempt to gain favor with the powers to be. Thank you!

Some of the comments:

When I first started reading your post I thought it was satire. If you’re serious, when you get to the hospital with your Ivermevtin check your friend out and treat him at home. Save the hospital bed for the patients that are going to let the medical professionals treat them.

“A dear friend of mine is in hospital where he is being treated by medical professionals with decades of education and experience between them. But I’m going to try and give him horse deworming meds because some guy on the internet said it was a good idea.”
If Americans had been like you in 1775, my people would still be running your country because you’d have been convinced that running into musket fire was a cure for pimples.

I thought this was a joke. This was not a joke. Holy hell and “hail ‘merry!’” Bring on the farm animal meds for the unvaccinated fools around the county.

He should be transferred immediately to Lake Ozark veterinary. Call and get him transported right away.

Let me push all the actual trained and board certified physicians that spent 10+ years in school for this exact thing out of the way to administer a drug proven not to work. Way to go mayor. You are an embarrassment to Missouri.

I really hope that your friend pulls through and feel for his family.
But no matter what any of our beliefs or disagreements are, it seems like a very odd choice to post this publicly on your elected official page, instead of your personal.
Your post even had a warning attached to it.
By sharing this, you’re publicly condoning a treatment that isn’t approved, and that most doctors consider to be ineffective and dangerous.
I think many of us are also wondering, how you got a prescription med to give to another person? What doctor or vet did such a thing with no examination or anything?
I hope that at the very least the medicine is given to the man’s doctors and the administration of it is left up to them.
I also assume that this friend did not get the vaccine or it seems like you would have mentioned it. So if you’re going to publicly share the information that you’ve gotten an unapproved/possibly dangerous medication to give to someone else, it would be helpful to also let those people know if his level of illness is perhaps due to his not having the vaccine, or in spite of having it.
My guess is that if it were the latter, you’d have said as much.
That’s the information that would be an appropriate PSA for the people of your city. Not the whole “If you’ve got friends in high places you can get things others can’t get, even if it’s not approved. And PS I’m totally condoning this med regardless of scientists and healthcare professionals saying it’s dangerous.”
This is just a crazy thing for a mayor to post.

On the downside you’re committing a felony. But on the positive he at least won’t die of worms.

Do you help with surgeries too? I’m envisioning you showin’ up at your Great Aunt Lucy’s gallbladder surgery with one of your steak knives and some screencaps from YouTube.

Killing my friends and then being sued by his family to own the libs

All the people claiming your doctor supports this treatment: post their name and office phone number, so we can call and verify. I don’t believe any of you.

Y’all don’t know me, and have no reason to trust me, but I humbly ask you all to not give your friends and family animal medicine for treatment. Please don’t do this.

“A realtor-turned-mayor took it upon himself to obtain a drug that is indicated to treat heartworm in large farm animals to give to a guy who was severely ill due to COVID-19, after warnings from the FDA, WHO, and local emergency medicine physicians are urging the public to refrain from taking this medication, as it is causing hundreds of hospitalizations across the US.”
Turn the car around, man. You’re not even driving in your own lane.

Welcome to Missouri.

I joined hundreds of Patriots last night in front of Mercy Hospital as we took a stand against mask and vaccine mandates. Our healthcare workers, and employees in all other industries, should not be forced to choose between their job and a jab.
Getting the vaccine and wearing a mask are personal decisions that each individual should be able to make for themselves in consultation with their families and their doctors. No one should be forced or coerced into making these medical decisions.
We must confront tyranny wherever it is found, be that in government or the private sector, and I will proudly fight alongside you as we say NO to these Draconian mandates. Enough is enough.
[….]

“…against mask and vaccine mandates…” Ever have surgery? Just asking.

Dumbasses.

Two of the comments:

Here’s an idea. Why don’t you guys form your own society and breathe Covid germs all over each other to your hearts content? No vaccines and no preventative measures of any kind. The only catch is you can’t go to the hospital in real society. You game?

Good to see you out there actively pushing for people to have rights over what is happening with their bodies. Can I expect you to vote pro-choice from now on? Or are you strictly only for that when it comes to Covid-19 and vaccines?
Get vaccinated you fuckwits.

“…All the COVID-19 patients we have in the hospital have not been vaccinated…”

Yesterday, a public health advisory in Henry County, Missouri:

….In response to the increase in positive COVID-19 patients in and around our county, Henry County Health Center (HCHC) is issuing a health advisory to all Henry County residents.

[….]

Craig Thompson, CEO at Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) reports an increase in the number of COVID-19 patients in the hospital, as well as an escalation in the number of people testing positive for the virus. “All the COVID-19 patients we have in the hospital have not been vaccinated,” said Thompson. “With the vaccine there is still a chance that you could contract the virus, but it could mean the difference between experiencing mild symptoms or a lengthy hospital stay.”

[….]

….It is the recommendation of HCHC and GVMH that those who have not received their vaccination become vaccinated as soon as possible.

HCHC recommends that residents continue to maintain social distancing, practice good hygiene, and continue wearing a mask in public if you are not fully vaccinated.

Here we are.

Republican Women’s Club hosts candidate forum for JCCHS board candidates
[….]
Megan Jaeger

Megan Jaeger introduced herself as a Christian, a homeschooling mother of two, a wife to a military member, the owner of a farm north of Warrensburg and was previously a physical education teacher. She is also a member of Johnson County Freedom Keepers, which hosted an anti-mask protest in front of JCCHS last year.

Jaeger said she decided to run for the position after she made public comments during JCCHS board meetings over the last year. She said her questions were dismissed and board members told her that she was misinformed about mask safety. Jaeger said she never received responses to emails made to JCCHS regarding COVID-19.

Jaeger said she also decided to run because parents and educators she spoke to felt their voices were not being heard by the board.

Jaeger said she believes the role of the health department is to inform citizens and allow citizens to make their own decisions. She claimed that implementing a mask mandate is “overreach” and stated she would not support actions violating human rights or body autonomy.

Jaeger said she believes the JCCHS board lacked transparency. When prompted by an attendee, she said if elected, she would provide her email and phone number to the public.
[….]

Megan Jaeger was elected to the Johnson County [Missouri] Community Health Services Board of Trustees.

And what did anyone expect?:

Chris Prener @chrisprener
Wow… Johnson County’s local health board contains a newly elected anti-vaxx member. Missouri has some of the lowest vaccination rates in the nation. Local public health officials poisoning the well does nothing to help us.

Michael Bersin There was a candidate who was highly qualified and didn’t even come close – a retired nurse practitioner who had served as a commissioned officer in the Public Health Service.
Those who didn’t vote in the election got the board member they deserved. Everyone else suffers.

These folks frustrate me to no end. She just has “questions” but no answers. Uh huh. So what’s her big idea to solve the pandemic? Still waiting on an answer.
(sorry for the language, i am running out of patience with these folks around here) [….]

What I find continually ironic is that when those opposed to the vaccine become get COVID, they trust healthcare workers to use science to treat them-& through their ignorance they put those people at risk. The levels of ignorance, entitlement and selfishness are so frustrating.

How does someone like this get elected to anything.

Whoever wrote this article [Fox News] kind of sucks, given that they presented her idiotic viewpoint pretty much as an “equal” to the reality… When it’s not even close to reality. Irresponsible journalism

Well, it’s Fox. But she’s popular on Facebook, around here, in Warrensburg. Sadly.

That doesn’t surprise me at all… I’m sitting right on the Cass/Johnson County line… 90% of the people around here appear to have been turned into deranged cultists over the last year or so and that’s just all there is to it.

Keep the feds out of our county.

Uh, Whiteman Air Force Base, anyone?

The responses are priceless:

States routinely accept federal monies and resources e.g. roads, highways, bridges and flood relief. Why should you oppose federal assistance to help Missouri residence get the vaccine if they want to be vaccinated?

It is one thing to be Antivax and it is another to push your belief on others. If your science is so good, why would you stop the information about the “other side” informed choice

Megan Jaeger for JoCoMo Health Board It’s not about censoring information. It’s about government overreach.
Why are they censoring the science?

Uh, who is “they”?

Megan was elected because she represents the views we already have here in Johnson county. She’s not pushing us. We decided against getting the vaccine all by ourselves.

Disinformation is not helpful. Missouri is in crisis and you make it worse.

Please resign I see you have 0 education or credentials to backup your positions

Megan Jaeger for JoCoMo Health Board The board is voted in by the people. The community spoke.

Apparently, by attitude and ego, it was by 15,000 votes?

what is the purpose of the feds? I’m needing an update please!

Uh, universal mail service, for starters.

Everyone needs to put up a no trespassing signs immediately. They better not show up here

Doesn’t want universal mail service?

Looks like you enjoy watching COVID spread and kill people. Don’t think you’d make a good member of the health board, sorry.

Megan Jaeger for JoCoMo Health Board Did you vote in the April election?

Uh, the job is to serve the entire population, not just the millions who voted for you in a landslide.

Megan Jaeger for JoCoMo Health Board Who determines misinformation? If it can be backed by facts, it isn’t misinformation. You claim I don’t care about health because we abstain from vaccines, that claim is misinformation. Our personal choice to not participate in this medical procedure began when members of our family suffered severe reactions.

The plural of anecdote is not data.

Megan Jaeger for JoCoMo Health Board I’m not advising against vaccination. I’m encouraging everyone to do their due diligence. I share information for informed consent.

“I’m not advising against vaccination….” Yes, you are.

You obviously care not a whit for the health and well being of others, or you’d be promoting masking and vaccines.

Why did you have to get the media involved?? That seems to be the trend now days, whatever it takes to get attention. If you’re not an “anti-vaxer” and want others to make decisions for themselves, why did you go as far to reach out to the media to be interviewed on a KC news station? That’s a bit extreme and seems as if you’re taking such an avenue to shove your beliefs down others throats. Also, I’d really like to know your background – what medical training do you have other than googling and sharing articles that you agree with?
Yes, I’m a nurse. Yes, there is a certain vaccine I did not have my daughters get due to my firsthand knowledge of adverse reactions. But that does not make me label ALL vaccines as bad. I am a recent leukemia survivor and had a bone marrow transplant whose immunity is still low and I received the COVID vaccine. Thankfully my body developed antibodies to COVID thanks to the vaccine. Does that mean I’m 100% safe? Absolutely not, but it makes me feel much more safe.

Megan Jaeger for JoCoMo Health Board I was contacted by Linda Wagar last week. I’m just as surprised as you that a KC news station would care what I think. Please don’t assume you know why we abstain from vaccines. I shared more about the interview Wednesday.

Ah, yes, that little known Federal law requiring people to talk to the press and exhibit their foolishness while doing so.

lol, lol, more hillbillies gonna croak from covid!

Unfortunately so, especially when simple actions could save lives.

This is what we face as a state and nation, and why we can’t have nice things.

Here we are.

Get vaccinated.

Missouri Representative Bill Kidd (r) recently reported on social media that he contracted COVID-19. In doing so he made a quip (more than once) about the vaccine. Part of the conversation:

[….][response] Ok I think my post got deleted by mistake…. first off if it is a Republican agenda to NOT get the Covid Vaccine… I did not get the memo! One of Dallas’s #1 Heart Doctors told me DIRECTLY to GET the vaccine… not a fake Doctor or unqualified Doctor!!! Sorry you both are going through this! I know people that were VERY good friends that have died and others with LONG lasting complications. Take care and God Bless!

Bill Kidd [….] oh good grief, it was a joke.
