Rep. Vicky Hartzler @RepHartzler
These hikes could end up targeting nearly one million small businesses and their workers, who will see their paychecks dwindle after years of wage growth thanks to the previous administration. 4:35 PM · Apr 7, 2021
As always, there was hilarity in the responses:
And what is Vicky’s plan for when those same small businesses can’t get any customers because all of our roads and bridges are too far gone to drive on?
You need to see your paycheck cancelled, not dwindled
Where was this concern for small businesses when you were cashing their ppe loan checks??? #Hypocrite
Hey, Home Economics teacher if these small businesses make more money because of Biden’s package which they most likely will no wages get cut but they increase.
Also how can you get on your Soapbox and brag about Trumps wage growth when you lost 3 MILLION JOBS the last 4 years
The only thing we witnessed under the previous administration was another GOP led economic collapse–
Job growth/loss by administration–
Trump = -2,876,000 LOSS
Obama = 11,572,000 GAIN
Bush II = 1,357,000 GAIN
Clinton = 22,994,000 GAIN
Bush I = 2,633,000 GAIN
Dem (16 years) = 34.5 MILLION
Rep (16 years) = 1.1 MILLION
And your continuing lies a deception never falters! You just keep pandering to your donors.
And some of the responses to Representative Hartzler’s (r) previous Tweet:
Why don’t you suggest something better then, Vicky? What’s your grand plan for actually improving things?
Once again you are twisting the facts/misrepresenting the situation. I wish you were more honest in presenting facts to your constituents.
Help or get the hell out of the way
Years of wage growth? What a bunch of lies. My tax rate is 28%. If I have to pay 28% in fed income tax, so should everyone else. Hopefully, the Democrats will get rid of all the loopholes that corporations big & small get so that they pay $0 in taxes. Like my MO employer.
I am for it. Take back that tax break u and the idiot trump gave to the richest 1 percenters and help take care of the middle class
Do you have any idea how much Missouri taxpayers who own small businesses actually pay, @RepHartzler? Because I do. It’s time you paid your fair share.
Reminder: Corporate tax rates were 35% just a few years ago.
The vast majority us will never see that amount in a year. Others, however…
Vicky Hartzler (r) [2016 file photo].
Rep. Vicky Hartzler @RepHartzler
President Biden’s plan to hike taxes would inevitably hurt hardworking, middle-class Americans.
Roughly one million small businesses could be affected by these increases, undeniably limiting their American Dream.
[….] 10:08 AM · Apr 5, 2021
“…inevitably…” As in “trickle down”? Yeah, no.
As always, there was much hilarity in the responses:
It’s not a tax increase except for the ones who r rich. Remember the tax decreases that u and the Republicans gave to the ones who didn’t need it?
Trickle down theory has never worked and never will
The corporations are still getting a tax cut. Biden’s increase doesn’t raise their tax rate to what is was before Trump’s tax cut.
Sedition also undeniably limits the American Dream.
Vicky, show us on your tax return where the bad president hurt you. Or better yet show us, your constituents, your tax returns for the last decade so we can make informed decisions about retaining your services as our rep. I bet you won’t.
I make a very good living, I’m middle class & live in your district.
These tax increases aren’t going to affect me at all.
Just you, welfare queen.
I wasn’t aware middle-class included those making $400,000+. Get real; either bring a legitimate complaint and or viable solutions the current leadership can implement. [….]
Since when is someone making $400,000 or more middle class?
You are incorrect and should probably make sure you know the facts of how legislation will actually affect your non-wealthy constituents.
Just as the Biden administration is pushing to raise taxes on corporations, a new study finds that at least 55 of America’s largest firms paid no taxes last year on billions of dollars in profits. … Many also received millions of dollars in tax rebates.
Your blatant dishonesty is something to behold. What you’re really concerned about is Biden hiking YOUR taxes after all of the government windfalls you’ve found yourself the beneficiary of.
Biden tax hike is for people making 400,000 and over. Stop lying. You should had listened when he spoke last week.
@RepHartzler, what is it with you and the continuous bullshit dog whistles? We all know the only reason you are complaining is because now your donors are gonna have to pay an equitable amount of taxes. Quit trying to gaslight your constituents.
You are embarrassing
But of course having their power grid collapse or water systems fail would be just fine. You really are #Clueless aren’t you.

Yesterday, from Representative Vicky Hartzler (r):
Roughly 66,000 Missourians were receiving state unemployment benefits during the week ending Feb. 20, the most recent week for which data is available. Benefits that were ending 03/28 are extended to 09/21. Child tax credits will increased to $3,000. Gambling?
Staggering but predictable dishonest is literally the GOP tell.
Vicky how much did you receive last year in Federal subsidies? How much dark money have you received? Self interest, dark money, and corporations are who you serve. You will say and do anything to get reelected to keep that money train rolling.
The bill also contains an additional round of aid for renters and landlords, which could be welcome news in Missouri, where roughly 13 percent of renters surveyed by the Census Bureau in the last two weeks of February said they were not current on rent. Special Interests?
Remember when we spent $100’s of millions on dump trucks golf outings and overpaid at his hotels? Hold on while I go and look for your tweets about how outraged you were at our money going to that special interest.
You’re wrong…here’s my proof…where’s yours?
It has become an across the board Republican talking-point, re: the 9%…they refuse to believe that something outside of DIRECT COVID relief money is designed to provide relief. They are choking on their talking points now.
If only there were ways to make this round not needed. Could have started with not passing insane tax cuts. Maybe we could have had a WH who took the pandemic seriously and encouraged others to do so.
Maybe we wouldn’t need this round to be so big. Oh well.
This 91% thing is garbage. It’s not true and you know it but you’re hoping voters will not do the research and will follow you blindly.
Did not know that Hartzler farms was one of President Biden’s special interest. Congratulations Vicky!
Vicky’s so mad that she isn’t cashing in on this round.
Pretty crazy that Vicky had no problem with reckless spending for the last four years.
I wonder what changed…
What a drama queen you are. We have not forgotten how “your special interests” were served by the former guy when you got to dip your dirty hands into the previous relief package.
Oh I see…. you clowns actually count money when your donors aren’t getting a cut.
what are the special interests? public schools? lol
Missouri is in line for more than $2.5 billion in direct aid and over $1 billion more through an uptick in federal funding for the state’s Medicaid program, which would buoy coffers that have already taken in multiple billions of dollars in previous aid efforts. Gambling?
“…a partisan payoff..” Says the individual that got how much from the previous relief bill(s)?
Some of the responses:
Dear Vicky’s New Social Media Person—
You’re citing information that isn’t true. You’re trying to incite outrage to further divide a torn nation. And you’re parroting talking points that have been fact-checked + called false earlier today.
Be better than Vicky. Tell the truth.
Guess I won’t be buying anything at Heartland Tractor with that attitude.
Bipartisan: involving the agreement or cooperation of two political parties that usually oppose each other’s policies.
Bipartisan dosen’t mean the GOP complains about a bill, that is supported by the majority, until they get their way of screwing over the American people.
Hartzler is lying. That’s why she is in the minority.
Big Poverty finally gets a win.
Thanks for assuring your constituents that you oppose the general will of the people.
Yeah…special interest in helping people, healthcare, arts and humanities, prisoners are humans that will need to build a life after prison…none of the things in this list are bad…Why are you like this, what is wrong with you?
So you voted No to not provide relief to Americans who need help now. Instead you would much rather take more time debating as the American people continue to struggle to pay for food/rent/mortgage. Makes perfect sense… The Majority of Americans support this bill.
Absolute hogwash, Vic. Stop lying.
Would you just shut the hell up. Americans are getting help in spite of you and all other Republicans obstructing it. Your only option now is to continue spinning your lies. You failed the American people at a time when they most needed help. Resign.
There’s a rumor that there’s a global pandemic which has ben ongoing for at least a year.
As always, there’s much hilarity in the responses:
Borders are not open.
No school in your district is closed.
But you still have $2,000,000 of taxpayer money you’ve pocketed in the 26+ years you’ve been a politician.
Recommended for Kevin’s next Circle Time reading:
Show us one statement or policy saying Biden wants schools closed?? Just more LIES from the @gop
The largest school district located in your own congressional district is currently 4day hybrid and transitioning to 5day in-person instruction after Spring Break (when teachers are being vaccinated)…
where exactly are you talking about schools being closed?
But wait. . .I’m confused! Didn’t you and the rest of the Republicans refuse to provide aide to the schools, by not ONE voting for the American Rescue Plan? How “patriotic” of you all!
More schools across the country are open today than since the pandemic began. Rest will open within Biden’s predicted first 100 days. Would be open now if GOP had not sat on the funds for schools and vaccine for teachers. Maybe we need a new Dr Seuss book to explain that to you!
There. Is no reason to take this current version of the republican congress seriously, they tried to overturn the election through force and failed. Seditionists, all of them.
How many school systems in Vicky’s district are still closed? Does she know? Does she realize that one of the biggest school systems in MO4 just voted to completely reopen?
Maybe Vicky should follow Roy Blunt out the door if she is so ignorant of what’s going on around her.
Would be a lot easier to tackle real problems if you Republicans worked as hard to legislate as you did to overturn elections.
Funny schools are under state and local jurisdiction, not the Biden administration. Shouldn’t members of Congress KNOW this?
And she’s a former teacher.
No, that’s just really sad.
Said the closer of schools… In another fear mongering tweet of a lame & dated meme designed to work up the FB crowd. #GetToWork
Handy little meme ya got there. EXCEPT . . . Schools were closed because TRUMP FAILED on corona virus protection and his border wall BLEW OVER! But hey I guess the top 1% are still thanking you for the tax cut.
I can’t take Republicans seriously anymore. They’ve become completely dependent on gaslighting as a way of life.
Agreed – would love to read any whitepapers you have about how to do this and the funding streams for each.
Can you point me towards your policy proposals? Thanks!
That’s covered under “More tax breaks for billionaires”.
My kids have been teaching in class ever since this started. It’s as if you have no idea what goes on in Missouri.
Our school, in your district, has been open since August. Many of the schools in the area have been. Your buddy, Mike Parson, hasn’t even opened the vaccine to teachers in the area yet.
Cass County (your constituents) has in-person & virtual. It’s a choice. Also the border is not open. You had four years & you came up with a wall that’s ineffective. The border problem will not be fixed w/ memes. This is why we can’t take you seriously – you don’t tell the truth.
You guys are getting no traction with these talking points.
Nice comment section Vicky
Weird. The borders aren’t open, and the schools aren’t closed unless the state decides it.
Gas lighting for ignorant followers
Please stop making things up.
How many schools are closed in your district? Have you offered to substitute teach for a week in one of them to show teachers how it is done?
What have YOU done personally to ensure schools can open safely for students and staff?
If the President COULD open schools, wouldn’t Donald Trump have done it before he left office? You want to blame him and the unions (even though most teachers aren’t in unions) when the power to open schools is in the hands of superintendents and school boards. Please stop lying.
The president doesn’t open and close schools that’s at the state and district level. So you have voted against the relief plan that will help those in your district. Why is that? Is holding the party line more important?
Under Trump 500000 dead. Under Biden….. vaccines.. monetary help and peace of mind. Drive to the border… It’s closed.
GQP leader is a lier.
Why did you vote against aid to help open schools safely?
Don’t you have any children’s books to whine about?
That’s a lie, as you know, carry on…
Vicky, you’re an embarrassment to the state of Missouri. These are not true and you know it.
Oh, Vicky! The Biden boom is going to reopen America….despite the GQP obstruction. Americans are ready for a real leader.
Do any of you pay attention to your constituents or just search for rehashed QTrumplican talking points?
You guys are nuts
Hey, Vick. Exactly how many schools in your district are closed? Do you have any idea??
Lol! So you’re a simpleton
Is it that difficult to tell the truth? My wife has been teaching all school year. She’s risked her health, and liars like you claims schools are closed. But hey you can make more money by scaring your constituents, I guess.
Maybe ALL the Republicans shouldn’t have voted against School funding for Pandemic response. You never want to be part of the solution.
Don’t you have some Q chat rooms to be in?
You have been reduced to this. Pathetic
That, and trying to name post offices.
Remember those migrant caravans that never materialized? This is why people don’t believe you. You lie as often as you breathe. Can we just have policy and not whatever nonsense y’all are calling governing these days? It’s exhaustingly childish and stupid.
School is open. At the border, for refugees.
You’re an embarrassment. Act like a human being and not a political hack. Show some substance beyond shallow propaganda.
Not gonna happen.
One would think a Rep would know that school openings are left up to Governors and Mayors, not the President. I guess your followers are not bright enough to see you’re a liar.
Absolutely verifiably factually FALSE not to mention gaslighting bullshit.
You voted against the money to open schools safely. You and the rest of the nearly fascist GOP are well to the right of anything you could call “conservative.”
Like a collection of sycophantic Santa Clauses all muscling down a chimney at once, Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives today finally gave President Donald Trump the legislative gift he’s been hoping for all season. And Missouri representatives were right there in the heart of the huddle.
One barely needs to check the list of votes once, let alone twice. In Missouri, the vote came down to a straight party line, with Ann Wagner, Billy Long, Blaine Luetkemeyer, Jason Smith, Sam Graves and Vicky Hartzler each casting their vote for a tax bill that, in addition to pumping up the nation’s deficit and providing luxurious belly rubs to corporations, also unstitches Americans’ current healthcare coverage and provides big breaks to the wealthy.
“For the sixth time in less than a year, Congress considered legislation to address the COVID pandemic. The last five COVID relief packages have provided a combined total of $4 trillion in relief funding. However, an analysis by the Committee for a Responsible Budget has found approximately $1 trillion that has yet to be spent from the previous relief packages.
The American Rescue Plan is serving as an excuse to spend our tax money on unnecessary things completely unrelated to the pandemic. With less than nine percent of this legislation designated for COVID, this spending spree could not be further from ‘relief.’
This package contains $112 million for Speaker Pelosi’s Silicon Valley tunnel project, $135 million for the National Endowment for the Arts, $135 million for the National Endowment for the Humanities, $200 million for the Institute of Museum and Library Services and $12 billion in foreign aid. None of these items actually tackle this pandemic.
By pushing this bill through Congress in the name of ‘relief,’ we are recklessly gambling with our future while expanding our national deficit by trillions.
With a growing economy, COVID numbers going down, and over $1 trillion still available for ongoing needs, now is not the time to go further in debt by passing wish-list pork for the Speaker disguised as ‘COVID relief.’”
That is, at the very least, an ironic choice for a press release headline.
What was that vote again on the massive Donald Trump (r) giveaway for the top 1%? Oh, yeah, we already mentioned that.
Like many businesses, those owned by U.S. Rep. Vicky Hartzler and her husband, Lowell Hartzler, applied for and received Paycheck Protection Program loans to stay afloat during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Paycheck Protection Program was created in the relief bill approved March 27 and given $349 billion for loans to businesses that kept employees on the payroll. The money may also be spent on expenses such as rent, mortgages and utilities, and if spent within eight weeks of receipt does not have to be repaid.
Hartzler, R-Harrisonville, voted for the original legislation and last week voted to add $310 billion to the loan fund. She opposed a proposal to create a special Congressional oversight subcommittee to monitor spending of federal aid and the overall response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Vicky Hartzler (r) got hers. She apparently doesn’t believe most other Americans need similar help.
Rep. Vicky Hartzler @RepHartzler
America truly lost an icon today.
A native Missourian, Rush Limbaugh ushered in a new era of conservatism, championing freedom and the American Dream to millions of listeners over his accomplished radio career. May he rest in peace.
[….] 11:37 AM · Feb 17, 2021
And, as always, some of the responses:
This man brought unimaginable hate into the world. His only dream was for white supremacists to have the freedom to subjugate black and brown people.
You smile & pretend to be Christian, all while discriminating against anyone different from you. You spread hate just like him.
Remember that time when Rush made fun of Michael J. Fox’s disability? I hope there is a hell, I hope Limbaugh is in it & I hope he saves you a seat up front.
Rush Limbaugh led the way to the the coarsing of America’s social & political discourse. He & Newt Gingrich were yoked together in this effort. I, for one, will not miss his voice. He DID NOT deserve to be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Missouri’s SHAME.
I will thank him because as a little girl who was raised listening to him regularly I appreciate his being instrumental in making me the liberal Dem I am today.
The new age of conservatism that Rush Limbaugh ushered in has been defined by lies, hatred, extreme partisanship, and unadulterated ugliness.
Not all icons are worth celebrating.
Sure. You go and tell yourself that.
America certainly lost *something* today…I just hesitate to pin down what that something was, since it’s probably not the kind of thing you want to say in polite company.
I know, what’s the point of pretending? He was a divisive POS.
I’m not one to celebrate anyone’s death, but I am glad he can no longer spread hatred.
It’s ok when evil dies.
an icon of what, exactly?
racism and misogyny?
Icon? Division and hate is his legacy. Yours will be a complacent enabler.
One of America’s most “toxic” public personalities.
He was evil personified. His racist, misogynistic, hate-filled rhetoric will not be missed by sane Americans.
Oh, please. He’s torn apart countless families with his divisive BS rhetoric all for the love of fame, power, & money.
You are promoting a hate monger. Why are we not surprised
Of course you would praise him. You are as big a bigot as he was. To call him an icon is agreeing with his attacks against, not only the gay community, but all the other groups he targeted. You’re disgusting.
He was a hate-spewing, disgusting human.
You’ve expressed more empathy for this pill-popping bigot than you have for the Capitol officer who was killed by your party’s violent, paranoid mob.
The “American Dream”? Is that what right wingnuts are calling it these days?
Rep. Vicky Hartzler @RepHartzler
Experts have long urged schools to #SafelyReopen for our children, but Dr. Fauci is now moving the goalposts.
With over $60 billion for schools still left unspent from previous COVID relief packages, are we listening to science or politics?
[….] 10:09 AM · Feb 15, 2021
As always, there’s much hilarity in the comments:
I absolutely hate it when science continues to move the goalposts as new data is made available. I want to go back to a time when Earth was the center of the universe and blood letting was a common practice.
Let’s make vaccinating teachers in Missouri a priority. What can you do for 4th District teachers? Step up to the plate and do something.
Unfortunately our esteemed Representative doesn’t really care about this issue. She seems to be completely oblivious to the fact schools in her district have been opened since August.
You are just misinterpreting the guidelines like so many others politicians , the facts are and haven’t changed whether schools can open fully depends on virus spread in the community and the schools ability to meet mitigation requirements.
No, Vicky, science is at work. We on the Left believe in science. We know that as new information is derived via the scientific method, plans change to reflect the new data. Now, PLEASE stop politicizing the pandemic!
Most of the things that need to be done in order to safely reopen could be accomplished, but many of them would take time. You can order PPE and tech quickly, but ventilation and cramped classrooms won’t be solved so fast.
Prioritize vaccinating teachers should be your message. Followed directly by vaccinating library workers. Quit playing political games and get to work to help your state.
Do you have a brain or do you just do what your GQP handlers tell you to do?
We see what you did there.
We listen to facts and science unlike the MO GOP.
You only listen to politics. So I know better than to listen to you.
The Trump Party Doesn’t believe in Science.
Dr. Fauci is an expert. YOU are not. Why are you so surprised goalposts are moving?? Virus with new variants that has the entire world stumped and trying new things. I would be shocked if goalposts were NOT moved. Follow the damn science. Which is why we are in this situation!
Bullshit. He isn’t moving anything. He has ALWAYS said as long as it can be done safely. SCHOOLS NEED THOSE FUNDS TO DO SO. Stop the lying. It’s tired.
What experts? Provide your source?!
Yet, you seem to be completely unaware that most schools in your home district are in fact open. You also don’t seem to care that the teaching and support staffs of those schools continue to show up every day without being vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.
Was it science or politics that drive your party to consider masks as unconstitutional? Because that line of thinking killed hundreds of thousands of hard working Americans. The @housegop is the party of contradiction, partisanship, and division
Rep. Vicky Hartzler @RepHartzler
Having only 51% of our schools reopen for as little as one day a week is not a “success.” We should be working to safely get all of our children back to full-time, in-person learning.
As always, there was much hilarity in the comments:
Cool. I think you should IMMEDIATELY go teach in a school for a week. I’m sure there is a school in your district needs substitute teachers. Show us how to do it, Congresswoman!
Well, there aren’t any open public town halls scheduled in the district.
What’s that stat in MISSOURI and in the 4th? Maybe you should focus on the people you’re supposed to actually represent… for once.
Are there more than 15 cases yet?
You are a “former” teacher. Any of your kids in school now? How about teachers? You think teachers need to be at the classroom, then they are essential. They need vaccines NOW. Being as a nurse and educator, safety is more priority than education.
My niece & nephew are educators in your district. What is your plan for their safety if you reopen all schools?
Are you willing to volunteer to be a substitute teacher during your break?
And have you helped schools to ensure proper ventilation, spacing, and other modifications? Do you understand that cooperative learning is not going to be achieved with all this in use? Are you adding services and money to schools to take the burden off teachers?
Focus on Missouri teachers (most of whom have *been* face to face with students all school year) and keeping them safe enough and healthy enough to *stay* in the classroom. Can you do that? And get us some vaccinations pronto. Thx.
And did you try to get former president Trump and Gov. Parson to speed up vaccine production and rollout? Not finding any evidence of you doing this or having a plan to help on this front. So you’re basically criticising the Biden admin for not cleaning up your team’s mess.
And an “F” to you as well!! If the GOP claimed C-19 didn’t exist, we wouldn’t be in this desperate situation.
Biden *is* working to get our children back to full time, in person learning. This is a judicious first step. As a former student, I prefer a less partisan teacher.
Vicky: If trump and Parson had taken covid seriously from the beginning (instead of ignoring the danger and politicizing the issue), our state and the nation would be in a much better position vis-à-vis reopening. Parson is still ignoring the problem and you aren’t helping.
Vaccination for teachers = teachers back to in-person teaching full time. It’s very simple logic. And most elementary schools have been in-person a majority of the 20-22 school year. So one more time – vaccinate teachers Tier 1.
This is a complicated issue that needs to go slow. We can never go back to the way it was in 2019. The teachers and every adult that works at the schools should have a Covid Vaccination first. If we can’t at least do this, the teachers will find lesser paid jobs.
Here’s a novel idea, make teachers a priority to get the vaccine.
Bidens team is working on ways to get schools opened safely. Be part of the solution not part of the problem.
Solutions? From Vicky Hartzler (r)?
And as a teacher, you should have more insight to the communicability that occurs in schools. Staff needs to be vaccinated, provided with PPE and have good ventilation systems. If you don’t understand that, then you deserve an “F.”
You want to reopen schools? Get. us. the. vaccines.
I wish someone would ask what the current % of schools is that have students in school at least one day per week.
Babe you had a whole year and didnt do anything except kill 400,000 Americans, and plummet us into recession. Maybe sit this one out?
You as a teacher is a reason to homeschool
Ouch. Still, a good point.
You’re a FORMER TEACHER?
I legit didn’t know this, and based on your politics… I’m kind of shocked. You should know better. What do your former colleagues think of you now, when you work for the party that demonizes teachers and tries to keep them underpaid and overworked?
You should go sit in those classrooms.
trump had months to create a “plan” but like the rest of his Covid handling, his only solution was to just open & push any decisions off to local authorities & proceed without the support of any federal assistance.
You can’t complain now when you were complicit the last 4 years.
I agree. If Congress can remain open, then so can our schools. Opening half the schools is as absurd as opening half of Congress.
Has difficulty understanding simple concepts. Then again, if our schools had the same schedule and vaccines as Congress that would make the point almost moot.
As a former teacher, would you be willing to go back to a classroom unvaccinated?
Our children could have been back in the classroom long ago had trump and the @gop taken Covid seriously.
Instead, hear we are with over 450k Americans dead.
We are in your district and have been open all year. How about getting Mike Parson to vaccinate teachers?
Last week we had for the first time more vaccines administered than deaths. That’s a year after Trump did nothing.
Also I am your constituent…
I do not listen to seditionists that tried to take my vote away.
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler (MO-04) has issued the following statement regarding the House’s vote on a budget reconciliation resolution:
“Tonight’s budget reconciliation resolution vote is a bad-faith attempt to ignore the American people’s bipartisan wishes at the expense of our national debt and the American Dream. Incredibly, it would be the first time a budget reconciliation has entirely bypassed the House Budget Committee. This is unacceptable.
The American public deserves a serious budget that thoughtfully outlines funding priorities across the entire scope of government after hearings, input from the American citizen, and testimony from experts on the needs of our country. It shouldn’t be used as a gimmick to pass legislation unrelated to the budget. It also should not be used to pass another COVID bill when there is over $1 trillion left over from the last COVID-relief package that is unspent.
As legislators, we are responsible for addressing the needs of our country while also being a wise steward of American tax dollars. We must resist the temptation to steamroll our legislative process, issue a blank check, and further limit our future generations’ well-being.” [….]
As always, there is much hilarity in the comments:
Vicky. Come ON. You KNOW that the last time this was done, your GOP colleagues did it to grant a tax break to the mega-wealthy, and INCREASE taxes on your base.
I legitimately don’t know how you sleep at night. After this many years, it’s just a numbness that never fades?
“A wise steward of America’s dollars.”
That’s why we elected Democrats this time. It’s time to fix the budget. …Again.
Too bad. The American people are hurting and need relief. Perhaps you could return that PPP money you stole, that would pay a lot of rent and buy a lot of groceries.
It would certainly be very interesting to see if she really needed the $480,000 and should return. I have a hard time believing her Farm Equipment business or farming operations suffered.
Show transparency. Let’s see competitive profit and loss for 2019-2020
So was it bad faith when Mitch did it or are only Democrats supposed to be bipartisan?
Don’t you remember the the GOP use of reconciliation for Trump’s tax cut and elimination of ACA individual mandate?
Why dont you want to help people? I dont understand why you hate us
The only one ignoring America’s bipartisan wishes is Vicky. Stomping your feet and holding your breath because the other guy isn’t doing everything you want isn’t bipartisanship, it’s just more GOP nonsense.
Either work with the new administration or get out of the way.
You’re being disingenuous. We’ve just had 4 years of your party not giving a shit about unity and refusing to take up any legislation that actually helps the people suffering through this crisis.
You were part of the insurrection on 1/6. You voted to throw out our votes that were
When you had a year to manage the covid response and did nothing for the American people your outrage is hollow.
Doing nothing. That’s a feature, not a bug.
Do you care about the people? Apparently not.
We weren’t so worried when we gave a trillion in tax breaks to the wealthy were we? We’re concerned about the deficit again when it comes to helping hurting people but the deficit was fine when you were lining wealthy pockets. Give QAnon Marge a standing ovation tonight too?
