Josh Hawley (r) [2016 file photo].

Today:

MSNBC @MSNBC
.@GarrettHaake discusses Sen. Hawley’s conduct on the second day of fmr. President Trump’s impeachment trial: “He’s been sitting with his legs up on the seat in front of him, essentially reading non-related material.”
[….]
1:19 PM · Feb 10, 2021

Some of the responses:

Hawley told my colleague @JulieNBCNews that he was reading the trial briefs while in the gallery.

Can he comprehend? So far the signs are not good.

Not paying attention to the actual case he is supposed to be a juror for because he was too busy reading the briefs? Like reading Cliff Notes before a big test on Chaucer?

This is a jury trial, and Hawley is a member of the jury. Therefore, if he is not paying any attention to the case being presented, he should be removed.

I’m starting to hate Hawley as I much as I hate Cruz

Hawley knows the truth. He chooses to ignore it. That’s the worst part.

And he’s making it clear, despite the facts, he has zero worry about accountability.

It’s remarkable how our political system elevates and rewards people who have so much contempt for our system. People like Hawley think the system serves them.

Well, it always has.

And he made sure the press noticed, because it is all a big show to him

“Constitutional lawyer” your ass.

Josh Hawley (r) [2016 file photo].

Last night:

Josh Hawley @HawleyMO
Today Democrats launched their unconstitutional impeachment trial while President Biden cancels thousands of working class jobs across this country. Americans deserve better
7:34 PM · Feb 9, 2021

Tell it to the microphones:

“The most dangerous place to stand in Washington D.C. is any place between Senator Josh Hawley and a live microphone” – Charles P. Pierce

Some of the responses:

Trump knew the capitol building was under attack, and that Pelosi, Schumer and hoyer were begging the governor of MD for assistance. He denied it for 2+ hours. According to us code, assisting in rebellion is insurrection.

[….] This game is called which human insecurity is Josh Hawley trying to exploit for political gain TODAY?

False: The impeachment is constitutional, that is why they voted in the Senate today. U were there so u know. President Biden’s initiatives will create millions of clean sustainable jobs.
We definitely deserve better than someone who showed a fist in solidarity with rioters.

Missourians deserve better

Really where? You GQP want to go back to horse & buggy days and coal furnaces. Americans want clean energy. Clean water air and less illness. Unfortunately, GQP have canceled science. Science has always been superior in the US but not for the GQP it’s a threat. Get over it.

There was a bite in this. Apparently 6 Republicans didn’t agree with you.

Sit down Senator Proud Boy

[….]You saluted neo-Nazis. But go on and try to talk about American values.[….]

You need to know that the 81 million of us that came out and defeated Donald Trump are going to come out and defeat you if you even *think* about running for the presidency.

You
Will
NEVER
Be
President.

Ever.

Josh, it was Mitch who refused to vote on impeachment before Trump left DC, so this is an extra cynical cup of hogwash.

We absolutely deserve better than whiny, phony sycophants like you who peddled the big lie encouraging violent insurrectionists to storm the capitol to execute the VP and members of Congress. There’s blood on your hands. Resign!

You’re Q

You’re guilty too

Where did you go to law school again? I think you should ask for a refund.

Senate votes trial constitutional. Go sit down.

I thought you were being silenced. Everywhere I look I end up reading one of your rants.

“Repeat the lie until it becomes true” eh, Josh? I am not an exceptionally intelligent man and I see through you. If your voters can’t, they must be exceptionally unintelligent.

I’ll explain this again. Your argument essentially is saying the Founders were idiots. That they didn’t see the loophole. They included two remedies, removal AND disqualification. They saw that there may need to be accountability trials of former officials.

I’m not for sure why you post Josh. You get very few positive replies. Maybe if you moved back to Missouri people might like you better

He’s so starved for attention that he doesn’t care if it’s good or bad attention.

Imagine thinking anyone listened to your constitutional opinions anymore.

We need more of you to be Patriots and save our country from the elite and the rich liberals that want to destroy our country!
Thank you Josh

There are so many of “them”.

We deserve better than you, that’s for sure. #MOdeservesbetter

I wish you could feel shame.

Hawley prefers his alternative universe to reality.

I see that your insurrection fist is still high in the air.
Traitor.

They certainly deserve better than having you represent them.

Gaslighting again.

Representative Vicky Hartzler (r) [2018 file photo].

Today from Representative Vicky Hartzler (r):

Rep. Vicky Hartzler @RepHartzler
Today, we remember the life of Capitol police officer Brian Sicknick as he lies in honor in the Capitol Rotunda.

The sacrifices made by Brian, as well as officers Howard Liebengood & Jeffery Smith, will never be forgotten.

May these heroes rest in peace.
[….]
8:24 AM · Feb 3, 2021

Some of the responses:

Vicky: Where is your condemnation of those members of the House and Senate, members of your party, who, through their words and deeds, helped facilitate the death of Brian Sicknick and attempted to overthrow our government?

she was one of them

What hypocrisy! Your refusal to acknowledge election results played a supporting role in this tragedy. You have refused to impeach the man who caused the riot that led to the officer’s death. You should be ashamed.

Narrator: “She isn’t.”

HOW ABOUT APOLOGIZING FOR YOUR HELP CAUSING THE INSURRECTION THAT GOT HIM KILLED.

If you go, be sure to apologize for being part of the insurrection.

Honor him by convicting Trump and then resigning

ummmm you helped kill him

And we remember that you signed up to overthrow the results of the free and fair election thus giving oxygen to this group of domestic terrorists to take apart our democracy.

We won’t forget. You are culpable, look at his casket and know that you helped do this.

Let’s face it , Vickster.
The one and only reason you are tweeting this is because you got ratioed badly on your last tweet.
That officer is dead because of your actions.

These heroes died because you incessantly lied to your kooky constituents. Those thugs tried to finish the job YOU started trying to overthrow the election results.

#Shame

Please spare us the empty posturing.

Those heroes died because of an angry mob fired up by lies told by Trump and perpetuated by Hartzler.

Hartzler has yet to admit to to those lies or apologize so the notion that she has any plans to honor anyone is ghoulish.

Weren’t you part of the conspiracy to commit sedition group? His death is on your hands.

You were complicit in his death through your failure to accept the results of a free & fair election where Biden won overwhelmingly.

You fed hatred that resulted in our nation’s capitol building being overrun by terrorists.

Sticknick deserved better than you & so does America

Too bad you didn’t think about our Capital Officers before you supported terrorists who killed one and beat and maimed others.

How can you sleep at night knowing you participated in an insurrection that caused his death? Shame on you.

He sacrificed his life to protect Congress from the angry trump supporters. The people that believed lies about the election and you did NOTHING to dispute those lies. You let them grow and fester until these terrorists came to believe they could overthrow the government. You are…responsible for this officer’s death by being complicit. You chose not to protect democracy. I will never vote for a republican again after the insurrection that the GOP allowed to happen.

There’s that.

This is what we get:

Josh Hawley @HawleyMO
It’s time to stand up against the muzzling of America
[….]
8:35 PM · Jan 24, 2021

Seventeen days of silence from the seditionist on his Twitter account until today. And all we get is self-serving whining.

Some of the responses:

Strange muzzling. You announce the muzzling on a Big Tech platform about a column in a major newspaper. Me thinks you protest too much.

#JoshHawleyIsATraitor #joshhawleyisaliar #JoshHawleyResign

You wanted to disenfranchise MILLIONS of voters. You wanted to muzzle people of color. WTF is wrong with you.

Sweetie, you’re not being cancelled. You being held accountable for your actions in supporting insurrection. Take several seats, Josh.

How can someone who is cancelled have an op ed in the Post?

You don’t seem terribly muzzled.

“The most dangerous place to stand in Washington D.C. is any place between Senator Josh Hawley and a live microphone” – Charles P. Pierce

The senator is complaining about being ‘muzzled’ for challenging the results of a free and fair election. He believes ‘cancel culture’ is silencing him after he helped incite an insurrection that left five people dead, including a police officer.

He also believes it’s unconstitutional for a private company to cancel a book deal. The victim complex on this one…

You tried to disenfranchise millions of voters in a seditious plot and are whining about this?

Have you no honor?

Oh cut the shit. You are guilty of sedition and need to be removed.

You are a disgrace to the office and we will never forget what you did.

It’s time for you to Quit.

This guy literally incited a riot…on his own free will… and now he’s whining about some censorship bs

It’s time to stand up to seditionists

You’re a traitor and that’s how you’ll be remembered, Senator.

So you wrote an op-ed that made the cover of the NY Post and it’s about (checks notes) having your voice muzzled.

How fortunate the US would be if that was in fact true.

The irony is completely lost on him.

So elitist to write for a New York paper. I thought you were the senator from Missouri. Is Missouri not good enough for you?

If it were good enough for him he’d live there

You weren’t muzzled. You spoke out and caused a bloody insurrection.

Stop deflecting from your sedition

The muzzling of Americans?

You mean like when you tried to muzzle the votes of 81 million Americans? Including me?

Literally fuck off, dude. Consider, just for one hot second, that you might have been in the wrong.

Our State is dying Senator. Stop whining about your book deal and do your job.

Since your actions are deserving of censure and expulsion from the Senate, I’m not surprised you are opposed to consequences.

The picture of privilege – having a national platform from which to speak.
You’re not being muzzled, you’re being held accountable.

Five people died in a right wing attack on the Capitol you incited. They’re silenced now. You did that. Resign.

Difference between being silenced and being ignored.

New York Post op ed. Very relatable to a Missourian.

Your. Career. Is. Over.

Stop fighting it. It only makes it sadder.

Your first tweet in days could have been much, much better than this.

Your actions will have consequences, now it’s time for you learn about the 14th Amendment.

It’s time to resign, you lying, seditious traitor.

But you had no issue with trying to muzzle me and the millions of others who didn’t vote for Trump, though, did you?

“I’m being censored… here’s a link to an op-Ed I wrote in a major publication about it.”

It’s time to stand up to seditionist, inciting, traitors and expel them from the Senate. Your whining isn’t going to make us forget.

“Local DC socialite and Ivy Educated lawyer Josh Hawley is furious after being unable to find constitutional clause that would force private bookseller to publish his fascist manifesto after attempting overthrow of American democracy“

I’m constantly amazed that there a group of ppl that believe ppl like @HawleyMO when they say they are silenced, “muzzled”, etc. when they see them say it in front of a camera or read their exact words they have tweeted or told a reporter to report.

How can silence be so loud?

You refuse to talk to local media. You aren’t muzzled.

You misspelled “I resign.”

I too have been muzzled by the New York Post’s front page

Man, I really hope you just shut the fuck up soon

Now you are doing fascist op-eds in the New York Post?

You are free to say whatever you want, and we are free to call it seditious.

The irony of being published in a New York City newspaper, sharing it on Twitter, and then having the audacity to say you’re being muzzled. The mind boggles.

republican campaign supplies.

And on and on…

Vicky, you’d be surprised how many contributions have been made to Planned Parenthood in your name.

The Daily Caller? That sounds like the name of a Trotskyite rag.

The responses, as always, never fail to amuse:

I prefer you represent Missourians who have been BORN rather than the unborn.

What about the 400,000 people dead from COVID? What about the kids locked in cages? What about the kids struggling with home school and hunger? I guess you only care about them until they are born.

Under Trump, GOP showed what they really think about life. 400,000 dead Americans from a pandemic. 5 dead from an insurrection, organized and encouraged by GOP leaders.

Yeah um so 400000 dead americans on yours and Trumps watch is ok?

Whose life is important to you? Just unborn babies, right? Not the 400,000 covid deaths or the lives of your fellow legislators? I haven’t seen you denounce the lie leading to the attempted coup.

Are you concerned about all the kids that Trump locked in cages and separated from their parents?

You’re sickened? That’s how this whole country has felt for the last four years. Every. Single. Day.

Hello, someone dying to be outraged on Line 2. —-hold music—–

Omg I am pro choice and live in your district, is this all you can tweet about when over 400000 have died of COVID

People elect you to be a representative of ALL the people in your district not just those you agree with. Try being more than a one-issue dog whistler.

Wow. 400,000 reasons why you are a complete and utter dip shit.

Just can’t help yourself can you. Maybe you could show you care about ALL LIFE and not support mobs who stormed the Capitol, resulting in loss of life. YOU desecrated our flag and patriotism with YOUR actions. You are a hypocrite and a traitor.

GOPs playbook on guns, life and debt is worn and tattered. You need a new playbook after 5 years of lies, caging kids, a failed coup, and blowing up deficits.

Or you can continue to look like clowns.

Capitol police were attacked with our nation’s flag.

Trump loving Vicky loves to yap about the lives of the unborn but doesn’t give a damn about the lives of those who are living breathing human beings in her district.

You’re gonna really crap your pants when you learn about terrorists taking our flag and beating a police officer with it because twice impeached-Trump told them to.

How about this association? You know the one you don’t want to mention as well as the act of treason. Spin bullshit is your only skill set.

Vicki, what any woman does with her own body is her own business. Btw, how do you feel about separating babies from their Mommas at the border? Or executing people in Federal custody?

Girl shut up.

Spare us your faux anger. Sickening is your support of those trying to overthrow an election. Where was your outrage over people being beaten with the flag?

NOPE. you don’t get to be the party of “life” my dear – more executions during Trump admin than any other, kids in cages, beaten dead police officers, OVER FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND DEAD FROM COVID.

Sorry, nope.

Where was your outrage when babies were being separated from their parents on the border under our American flag.
Save it, lady. You can’t start being outraged now.

You are a disgrace to Missouri, Vicki. Resign.

Hi whichever fearmongering Republican you are….

Here’s a thought… Separate church from state and stop bamboozling Americans into debating theocracy rather than government policy.

Ugh will you people shut up already about abortion. You don’t give a shit about the unborn or the born. You prove that time and again.

Wait until you hear about covid-19. Stfu with this pro-life BS

Trump and the GOP are forever associated with right wing terrorists killing a man with a flag

Cry me a fucking river. How many people did Trump kill this year? And I mean actual people, not blastulas

What’s the next faux outrage? Just asking.

Late last night:

Rep. Vicky Hartzler @RepHartzler
This is reckless, divisive, and an unconscionable questioning of our National Guard’s loyalty to America.

They deserve our respect and appreciation — not accusations.

Some of the comments:

You should talk about division. You supported insurection, and if you had a conscience you’d resign before your expelled.

And @RepHartzler has done what about the bounty on troops?

@RepHartzler continues to support Trump despite domestic terrorism?

As an Army spouse (and a constituent of yours) I’m troubled by your refusal to see that some have been radicalized by Q conspiracies. I first heard about Q via an army spouse who had lost her husband down the conspiracy hole. Please don’t downplay the need for the conversation

I disagree. It’s better to be safe than sorry. There is evidence that there are some white supremacists in law enforcement. They should absolutely be questioning the guards given the recent attacks.

We’ve all got very good reason to be concerned about loyalty at the moment.
Plus you refused to certify the vote of the people. That’s a darker stain on the nation than a careful inspection of the troops after an insurrection.

I see you have received your talking points.

It’s all in the timing…

..and feigned outrage.

Then announce that the election was legitimate and you will support the new administration. You have stoked the flames of this mess.

Do you want us to not question anyone in the National Guard, but you’re fine with questioning the FBI? What you’re doing doesn’t make sense, Rep. Hartzler.

From an active duty law enforcement officer’s lips to your ears, Rep. Harztler. Stop denying facts. Doing so endangers us all. [….]

Your dismissal endanger us all. You must delete this tweet and follow up with accurate info, Rep. Hartzler. [….]

Sit down Vicky Sit down [….]

You are not doing a good job representing your constituents.

For ten years.

Seems prudent to me, but I still remember January 6, 2021 when insurrectionist included police officers, National Guardsmen, and retired military.

You must have been busy that day and weren’t paying attention.

Resign. Immediately.

There were National Guard members in the mob who wanted to kill VP Pence. What makes you think they were all caught?

Uh, did you not see Jan. 6? Also, you caused all of this. Don’t try to pretend that somehow you, or Trump supporters, are the victim. The president certainly doesn’t have loyalty to America. And neither do you. [….]

Uhmmm…some particated in an insurrection so…

Sadly, people like you have spread lies and conspiracy’s that have caused a number of Americans to mount an insurrection. We wouldn’t have to vet anyone if you would tell the truth to your constituents. Your embrace of lies make you culpable in the armed coup.

Former and Active military members and police officers were part of the group that stormed the Capitol a week ago.

The FBI is obligated to research credible threats.

You can respect the troops while vetting them.

Maybe you should get all the facts before you shoot your mouth off. [….]

Has that ever happened before? Just asking.

Stop with the conservative victimhood narrative. Vetting for insider threats is routinely done in the military. [….]

Is there no end to the babbling hypocrisy of Republicans? How about that insurrection? STFU

You spent weeks going along with the lie that the election was stolen and believers of your lie murdered a police officer. Dont talk about reckless

Maybe if there was not Trump supporting insurrectionist already arrested that are members of the Nat’l Guard and law enforcement, we would not be having to do this. They should be doing the same thing to the members of Congress and they can start with you.

Cold. That’s cold.

Steve Cohen?! The fried chicken fool?! His comments are not to be heeded.

Must be a Faux News Channel talking head. Am I correct?

Where is YOUR loyalty to America, Vicky? All we’ve seen from you is refusal to certify election results which aligned you with the insurrectionists. Oh and, bs Republican talking points. Party over country once again.

Just shut up for once.

Oh so you know more than the Generals too, huh?

#Resign #Traitor

There is something fundamentally wrong with you people. There were many former & current firemen, police, political office holders, etc just 10 days ago running amok in DC trying to murder the VP, and it’s the height of white arrogance to suggest there aren’t any there now.

Vicky you want to know what’s really divisive? Lying about election results so much that leads to our Capitol being stormed by some of the White supremacists in the military that we’ve been warning about for years.

There’s that.
