Quinton Lucas.

From Kansas City, Missouri Mayor Quinton Lucas:

Mayor Q ‪@mayorq.bsky.social‬

No one who claimed things merited troop deployment will acknowledge that thousands gathered safely together in Kansas City and many other places today, using their rights to voice constitutionally protected dissent.

I appreciate y’all and your voices. Keep speaking up.

Yep.

What did the Missouri National Guard do this weekend? Just asking.

Congressman Mark Alford
[June 12, 2025] Governor Mike Kehoe is sending a strong message.
We support the first amendment right of every Missourian to peacefully demonstrate, but violence and riots will NOT be tolerated in the Show Me State.
[….]

There is much hilarity in the responses:

We have been protesting every 2 to weeks since Febuary. Why the need for the guard to be on standby now?
Will be in Warrensburg 1 pm at the Courthouse then headed to Clinton.

There’s that.

“Resist Now”

They are coming after American citizens, judges, senators and congressmen.
How many of you voted for this?

Too many.

No comments on a United States SENATOR being assaulted, thrown to the floor and handcuffed because he wanted to ask Sec. Noem a question?

Go sit in the back, Marky!!!

Sending a message that this is a police state and first amendment rights are a thing of the past.

We’ve had zero violence in Missouri in all our rallies, man.
If anything happens, it will be because the governor is escalating.

All protests plans are scheduled to be peaceful. Let the people speak. And let the locals handle any issues.

Following the 🍊🎪🤡 orders

Mark, why don’t you join us at the protest?

We have already had many protests and no problems at all.

Fear fuels this type of action

Personally, I wish Trump would declare martial law. This would bring an almost instantaneous end of the riding and looting in Los Angeles, Angeles and elsewhere.

The Headless Horseman Pursuing Ichabod Crane (1858), John Quidor (1801-1881), Smithsonian American Art Museum.

Don’t fall asleep in school, kids.

and where else have you seen riots? Missourians have been holding peaceful protests since March

Your family and your friends can see these posts. They can see how easily you mislead the public.

Yeah, all those Grannies holding signs are such a menace

“Uphold the United States Constitution”

You do not want to piss off a grandmother. Ever.

What a joke.

This is BOGUS. This is what is fondly termed as a Self Full filling Prophesy. Where no situation currently exist, YOU will introduce a condition that certainly will increase the tension and likelihood of non-peaceful activities.

The face of government intimidation and abuse of power.

The people are speaking, and you’re ignoring them.
Kehoe, like Abbot, are only spreading fuel and hoping for a spark.

Unfortunately, Republican Missouri reps are only there to rubber stamp the agenda. Rep. Alford, why do your posts uplift white males, but not anyone else? Is there not a person of color, a women, an LGBTQ person who has contributed anything of significance in our district?

Fascism. Fuck this.

Violence and riots are only tolerated when in support of your leader, right? This is a scare tactic to discourage people from showing up. Trump’s fragile ego can’t stand that protests against the regime may overshadow his expensive birthday parade.

Bad combover. Check. Too long red tie. Check. Orange spray tan. Check. Tiny hands. Check. Cluelessness. Check. Conviction. Check.

Grow some Mark or get out. Republicans like you are destroying our country !!

After pardoning J6 defendants? What a clown?

Sad day in Missouri. Fascism is coming.

Tyrants have been using the same tactic to ignore the rights and concerns of the people for centuries. MAGA struggles to grasp the lessons of history. [….]

What a pussy Kehoe is just like you Congressman Mark Alford to ready the National Guard to combat the 6 democrats in the fucking state.
Peaceful protests are being agitated by overzealous ICE agents with no identity. They took down Senator Alex Padilla in California because he wanted to ask questions of Kristi Noem while she spewed her hate and authoritarian rhetoric! A US SENATOR FOLKS . He muttered something and then he was immediately forced from the room by ICE agents as he told him he was a US SENATOR and they continued to throw him to the ground and he was handcuffed. Tell again how well things are going Mark?

You mean a fascist message

Unacceptable. Trump is going Police State. That is not freedom.

Libs get what they deserve

We rest our case.

The Hatch Act. Posse Comitatus Act. United States Constitution.
You are one ignorant fool. All to feel big in your lift boots. Yet you scamper away when questioned. Climb up on your stool, slide into an oversized pickup and flee like the Rat you are.

Here we go: the militarization and police surveillance state—just like North Korea and Russia. Crush dissent. End free speech. Shoot protesters. End the rule of law. Defy judges. Fill the concentration camps and enrich the private prison owners. Get criminal thugs to arrest political opponents. That’s where we are headed, folks. And Congressman Mark Alford is all in.

‘BLATANT ATTEMPT TO INTIMIDATE’ | House Minority Leader Ashley Aune released a statement on behalf of the Missouri House Democratic Caucus in response to the completely unwarranted state of emergency declaration by Gov. Mike Kehoe.

LET’S BE CLEAR: This is nothing more than an attempt to intimidate and suppress peaceful protest of the federal administration that’s descending into authoritarianism at an alarming pace.

These protests are in response to the very obvious and unabashed transfer of wealth and power to the nation’s billionaire class at the expense of working Americans, regardless of their political affiliation.

“Governor Kehoe should staunchly defend the rights of Missourians, not mimic the authoritarianism of the president,” Aune said.

‘Governor Kehoe’s preemptive declaration of a state of emergency as Missourians prepare to protest an increasingly authoritarian presidential administration is a blatant attempt to intimidate and suppress First Amendment rights.

The protests planned this weekend across Missouri and throughout the nation were sparked by the president’s unwarranted and heavy-handed military responseto opposition to his policies. By doing the same, the governor will only heighten tensions and increase the possibility of conflict.

Governor Kehoe should staunchly defend the rights of Missourians, not mmic the authoritarianism of the president.’

‘Mayor Lucas is concerned with enhanced state enforcement for one set of protesters, but no action or aid to local law enforcement when Neo-Nazis march through Missouri’s urban streets. The Mayor has confidence in responsible protestors to use their First Amendment rights peacefully and in compliance with the law. More than one thousand Kansas Citians protested peacefully and responsibly just days ago. For those who do not act responsibly, the Mayor stands by the women and men of local law enforcement at KCPD and other agencies to handle any necessary enforcement actions. Unnecessary escalation from our nation’s capital and state capitals undermines local law enforcement and makes all less safe.’

Governor Kehoe Activates Missouri National Guard as Precautionary Measure in Response to Civil Unrest

JUNE 12, 2025

Jefferson City — Today, in response to immigration enforcement protests planned across Missouri, Governor Mike Kehoe signed Executive Order 25-25, activating the Missouri National Guard as a precautionary measure in reaction to recent instances of civil unrest across the country.

“We respect, and will defend, the right to peacefully protest, but we will not tolerate violence or lawlessness in our state,” Governor Kehoe said. “While other states may wait for chaos to ensue, the State of Missouri is taking a proactive approach in the event that assistance is needed to support local law enforcement in protecting our citizens and communities.”

This week, the Missouri Department of Public Safety, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and Missouri National Guard established a Unified Command to monitor situations on the ground and prepare to assist local law enforcement.

Executive Order 25-25 declares that a State of Emergency exists in the State of Missouri due to civil unrest and calls on the Adjutant General, or his designee, to call and order into active service such portions of the National Guard personnel as he deems necessary to aid executive officials of Missouri to protect life and property.

It is further ordered and directed that the Adjutant General or his designee, and through him, the commanding officer of any unit or other organization of the National Guard, to take action and employ such equipment as may be necessary in support of civilian authorities and provide such assistance as may be authorized and directed by Governor Kehoe.

The executive order:

EXECUTIVE ORDER
25-25

WHEREAS, our citizens have the right to peacefully assemble and protest, and the State of Missouri is committed to protecting the lawful exercise of the citizens’ constitutional rights; and

WHEREAS, the events that are occurring or could occur in the cities of Kansas City, Springfield, St. Louis, and other affected communities, in the State of Missouri, have created or may create conditions of distress and hazards to the safety, welfare, and property of the citizens and visitors of the communities beyond the capacities of local jurisdictions and other established agencies; and

WHEREAS, the rule of law must be maintained in the cities of Kansas City, Springfield, St. Louis, and other affected communities, in the State of Missouri, for the protection, safety, welfare, and property of the citizens, visitors, and businesses of those communities; and

WHEREAS, additional resources of the State of Missouri are or may be needed to help relieve the conditions of distress and hazard to the safety and welfare of the citizens of the cities of Kansas City, Springfield, St. Louis, and other affected communities; and

WHEREAS, the conditions necessary to declare the existence of an emergency pursuant to Chapter 44, RSMo, are found to exist due to the potential of civil unrest; and

WHEREAS, an invocation of the provisions of sections 44.010 through 44.130, RSMo, is necessary to ensure the safety and welfare of the citizens of the State of Missouri; and

WHEREAS, in consultation with community leaders, public safety officials, and emergency preparedness officials, I have determined that the following actions are necessary and appropriate to provide for the safety and welfare of Missouri’s citizens, visitors, private property, and businesses.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, MIKE KEHOE, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF MISSOURI, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the Laws of the State of Missouri, including Sections 44.010 through 44.130, RSMo, do hereby declare that a State of Emergency exists in the State of Missouri due to civil unrest.

I further order, pursuant to Sections 41.480 and 41.690, RSMo, the Adjutant General of the State of Missouri, or his designee, to forthwith call and order into active service such portions of the organized militia as he deems necessary to aid the executive officials of Missouri, to protect life and property, and it is further ordered and directed that the Adjutant General or his designee, and through him, the commanding officer of any unit or other organization of such organized militia so called into active service take such action and employ such equipment as may be necessary in support of civilian authorities, and provide such assistance as may be authorized and directed by the Governor of this State.

This order shall terminate on June 30, 2025, unless extended in whole or in part.

Due to increased threats to federal law enforcement officers and federal buildings, approximately 700 active-duty U.S. Marines from Camp Pendleton are being deployed to Los Angeles to restore order.

We have an obligation to defend federal law enforcement officers – even if Gavin Newsom will not.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

“If they spit, we will hit.” This is a statement from the President of the United States concerning the catastrophic Gavin Newscum inspired Riots going on in Los Angeles. The Insurrectionists have a tendency to spit in the face of the National Guardsmen/women, and others. These Patriots are told to accept this, it’s just the way life runs. But not in the Trump Administration. IF THEY SPIT, WE WILL HIT, and I promise you they will be hit harder than they have ever been hit before. Such disrespect will not be tolerated!

Nope. Sorry. We’re not doing this.
You don’t try to “reason” with rioters and anarchists.
We need arrests and deportations. Now.
[….]

Right, all those masked ICE agents showing up at elementary schools. Oh, wait…

Some of the responses to Eric Schmitt (r):

“Rioting is the language of the unheard.” -MLK

You might want to read what Los Angeles Archbishop Gomez said on this issue. Thoughtfully written. You can go to the website of The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops to access his statement.

just like the j6 rioters, right?

Granting Pardons And Commutation Of Sentences For Certain Offenses Relating To The Events At Or Near The United States Capitol On January 6, 2021

Yeah, right.

millions of Americans watched J6 unfold in real time. Millions of people, including Republicans, were shocked and disgusted that Trump did not activate the military to protect our Capitol on J6. These were insurrectionists that beat police and sent them to the hospital. They damaged our capitol and threatened our VP. I am not a fan of Pence but he was elected as VP and was following protocol, the law. We must respect that. In the meantime, where is the video of all these LA riots?? I can’t find riot video even on FOX. Just because you don’t like the truth does not mean the rest of us will stop bringing up J6. They were traitors! History is NOT on your side.

What happened to “states rights”?

Take a history lesson. Learn about Kent State May 4, 1970. We don’t want to repeat the mistakes of the past.

States rights, huh, Eric?…

Rather, you pardon 1500 of them the moment you assume office.

We see what you did there.

Maybe should have done this Jan 6th …

Except we all have access to the same internet. We can see in real time how the protests were peaceful until Trump got involved- something he seems to have a track record of.
Even the LAPD said the protesters were peaceful. And now we have Hegseth threatening to mobilize the Marines against US citizens for exercising their right to protest.

Trump needs to go there like he did in DC with his Bible and pound his chest. That would get rid of the rioters.

Upside down Bible.

You are in the wrong Schmitt. No reason for armed National Guards. Have ICE unmask themselves and do the job they were hired to do. But peacefully and respectfully. These have been peaceful protest..which every American has that right.

Amendment I – “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

Oh Eric Schmitt you are the epitome of “the calls are coming from inside the house”!

Yes, yes they are.

What about Jan 6? He didn’t seem to want law and order on that insurrection day. Your logic makes no sense.

It was just tourist visiting LA and the fires were a movie set. Whoever is arrested should be released just like J6 people.

We see what you did there.

And yet you were notably silent about J6, huh?

And yet you were notably silent about J6, huh?

That’s true Eric, you are not doing anything useful.

You are a poor excuse for an attorney and an even poorer excuse for a human being. You should be disbarred and disgraced. Now

Are you referring to the Jan 6 rioters who tried to overthrow the government?
The ones that were ignored and later pardoned by Trump?
No?
Why not?.

Oh, you think the government should actively increase unrest? You sad, sad man.

How about the J6 seditionists?

Ah yes, the Attorney General who wants to skip trials and go straight to deportations. You don’t “reason” with citizens, you just round them up? That’s not law and order; that’s authoritarian cosplay. The Constitution isn’t optional just because you’re scared of protest. Maybe brush up on the Bill of Rights before pretending to defend America.

How much are we paying the January 6th insurrectionists after they were pardoned, Eric?
Always hypocritically shitting the bed aren’t you?
I hate to say it but you are way worse than Hawley and he was the one scurrying through the hallways like a scared bunny on January 6th.

They neither needed nor wanted the federal “assistance”, it was under control and you escalated it – to serve your narrative and cause a crisis. Which is fine for both sides – because your guys running around masked and unbadged are unhinged, just like you.

What are you going to do when it’s here? Constitution or Trumpanzee?

OH, wittle Eric, this administration created this situation. You’ll be remembered for being on the wrong aide of history just like Brown Shirts, the SS, Borman, Himmler, Goebbels, Goring, etc.

Yet, the J6 criminals were pardoned and you said nothing. You’re a hypocrite and your words are hollow and your intention is only to inflame this country. You are a disgrace Senator.

Build a giant pen in the desert and put all of them in it. This is civil war and needs to dealt with. Abolish the democrat party as a subversive terrorist organization and arrest its leadership and exile them.

Old school, eh? Did not see that coming.

Nope? You don’t want reduced tensions with American citizens? You want more tension and violence? You’re disgusting

You don’t purposely invade a city in military gear and act like they are the aggressors.

Your own post is verbal violence, and propaganda, and very much like many. many posts you have made in this and your Senator pages. You are an expert in blaming people for things you, your party and your leader have actually done or encouraged. You will lie, twist facts and blame anyone handy. By your own words, in this post, it is clear that you WANT internal tension and unrest, not peaceful discourse and petition. Why else would you try to force even more hate and anger than you have already, with slurs untruths and verbal violence, like this post?

You sure didn’t care when your boss freed 1500 convicted felons who actually DID try to overthrow the government. Traitorous POS.

You are such a cowardly piece of shit. You’ll support sending masked gangs into neighborhoods to send people to prisons in El Salvador, but when people fight back they are anarchists.

Schmitt all in on fascism…..militarized policing….no coordination with state leaders for these raids….just move on in like they are fighting the Taliban…..so much for state’s rights……we have seen free press denigrated, judicial system denigrated, institutions denigrated…..only a matter of time when military is used on US citizens…….all about stoking fear and power…..just days away from the North Korean style parade costing taxpayers 45+ million to stroke the ego of a malignant narcissist…….
“If Joe Biden federalizes the National Guard, that would be a direct attack on states’ rights.”
Kristi Noem

Eric Schmitt hasn’t met a peaceful protester he wouldn’t shoot.

Nope. We’re not doing this. YOU don’t get to mislabel – indeed, libel peaceful, righteous protesters for justice, as “rioters and anarchists.” How sad that you have once again betrayed the basic precept of your Jesuit education: Men and women for others.

Ummm what about the Jan 6 rioters? Where are they going to be deported to?

You misspelled federal overreach and violating citizens right to free speech.
Look at Noem’s 2024 tweet criticizing Biden relating to employing the national guard. So ridiculously hypocritical.

No one is rioting or being anarchists. The correct process per the law needs to be followed. Grow the f up. I know for a fact you wouldn’t allow a masked person to take your family member without identifying themselves and having paperwork. You’d lose your mind. Stop attacking people for protesting.

Oh dear, you really think that shooting chemical weapons at peaceful protesters was justified. Have I got some bad news for you about who broke the law. Hint: it’s was ICE.

You’re a real asshole, Eric. Ever been to church or opened a Bible?

It’s called demonstrating against an authoritarian administration. This is America, not Communist China.

Ask Eric Schmitt (r) about foreign ownership of farm land in Missouri.

Obviously, you are choosing Trump and party over the Constitution and Country.

You and what army, dumbass?

Great job by the National Guard in Los Angeles after two days of violence, clashes and unrest. We have an incompetent Governor (Newscum) and Mayor (Bass) who were, as usual (just look at how they handled the fires, and now their VERY SLOW PERMITTING disaster. Federal permitting is complete!), unable to to handle the task. These Radical Left protests, by instigators and often paid troublemakers, will NOT BE TOLERATED. As an Army spouse (and a constituent of yours) I’m troubled by your refusal to see that some have been radicalized by Q conspiracies. I first heard about Q via an army spouse who had lost her husband down the conspiracy hole. Please don’t downplay the need for the conversation

I disagree. It’s better to be safe than sorry. There is evidence that there are some white supremacists in law enforcement. They should absolutely be questioning the guards given the recent attacks.

We’ve all got very good reason to be concerned about loyalty at the moment.
Plus you refused to certify the vote of the people. That’s a darker stain on the nation than a careful inspection of the troops after an insurrection.

I see you have received your talking points.

It’s all in the timing…

Then announce that the election was legitimate and you will support the new administration. You have stoked the flames of this mess.

Do you want us to not question anyone in the National Guard, but you’re fine with questioning the FBI? What you’re doing doesn’t make sense, Rep. Hartzler.

Seems prudent to me, but I still remember January 6, 2021 when insurrectionist included police officers, National Guardsmen, and retired military.

You must have been busy that day and weren’t paying attention.

Resign. Immediately.

There were National Guard members in the mob who wanted to kill VP Pence. What makes you think they were all caught?

Uh, did you not see Jan. 6? Also, you caused all of this. Don’t try to pretend that somehow you, or Trump supporters, are the victim. The president certainly doesn’t have loyalty to America. And neither do you. [….]

Uhmmm…some particated in an insurrection so…

Sadly, people like you have spread lies and conspiracy’s that have caused a number of Americans to mount an insurrection. We wouldn’t have to vet anyone if you would tell the truth to your constituents. Your embrace of lies make you culpable in the armed coup.

Former and Active military members and police officers were part of the group that stormed the Capitol a week ago.

The FBI is obligated to research credible threats.

You can respect the troops while vetting them.

Maybe you should get all the facts before you shoot your mouth off. [….]

Has that ever happened before? Just asking.

Stop with the conservative victimhood narrative. Vetting for insider threats is routinely done in the military. [….]

Is there no end to the babbling hypocrisy of Republicans? How about that insurrection? STFU

You spent weeks going along with the lie that the election was stolen and believers of your lie murdered a police officer. Dont talk about reckless

Maybe if there was not Trump supporting insurrectionist already arrested that are members of the Nat’l Guard and law enforcement, we would not be having to do this. They should be doing the same thing to the members of Congress and they can start with you.

Cold. That’s cold.

Steve Cohen?! The fried chicken fool?! His comments are not to be heeded.

Must be a Faux News Channel talking head. Am I correct?

Where is YOUR loyalty to America, Vicky? All we’ve seen from you is refusal to certify election results which aligned you with the insurrectionists. Oh and, bs Republican talking points. Party over country once again.

Just shut up for once.

Oh so you know more than the Generals too, huh?

#Resign #Traitor

There is something fundamentally wrong with you people. There were many former & current firemen, police, political office holders, etc just 10 days ago running amok in DC trying to murder the VP, and it’s the height of white arrogance to suggest there aren’t any there now.

Vicky you want to know what’s really divisive? Lying about election results so much that leads to our Capitol being stormed by some of the White supremacists in the military that we’ve been warning about for years.

There’s that.

Governor Jay Nixon signed an executive order [pdf] calling up the National Guard.

The press release:

Following coordinated attacks on civilians and law enforcement, Governor Nixon signs executive order directing Missouri National Guard resources to Ferguson

August 18, 2014

Jefferson City, MO

Gov. Jay Nixon has signed an executive order directing additional resources through the Missouri National Guard to help restore peace and order and to protect the citizens of Ferguson.

“Tonight, a day of hope, prayers, and peaceful protests was marred by the violent criminal acts of an organized and growing number of individuals, many from outside the community and state, whose actions are putting the residents and businesses of Ferguson at risk.  I join the people of Ferguson, and all Missourians, in strongly condemning this criminal activity that included firing upon law enforcement officers, shooting a civilian, throwing Molotov cocktails, looting, and a coordinated attempt to block roads and overrun the Unified Command Center.  These violent acts are a disservice to the family of Michael Brown and his memory, and to the people of this community who yearn for justice to be served, and to feel safe in their own homes. Given these deliberate, coordinated and intensifying violent attacks on lives and property in Ferguson, I am directing the highly capable men and women of the Missouri National Guard to assist Colonel Ron Replogle and the Unified Command in restoring peace and order to this community.”
