Late last night:

Rep. Vicky Hartzler @RepHartzler
This is reckless, divisive, and an unconscionable questioning of our National Guard’s loyalty to America.

They deserve our respect and appreciation — not accusations.
[….]
9:15 PM · Jan 18, 2021

Some of the comments:

You should talk about division. You supported insurection, and if you had a conscience you’d resign before your expelled.

And @RepHartzler has done what about the bounty on troops?

@RepHartzler continues to support Trump despite domestic terrorism?

As an Army spouse (and a constituent of yours) I’m troubled by your refusal to see that some have been radicalized by Q conspiracies. I first heard about Q via an army spouse who had lost her husband down the conspiracy hole. Please don’t downplay the need for the conversation

I disagree. It’s better to be safe than sorry. There is evidence that there are some white supremacists in law enforcement. They should absolutely be questioning the guards given the recent attacks.

We’ve all got very good reason to be concerned about loyalty at the moment.
Plus you refused to certify the vote of the people. That’s a darker stain on the nation than a careful inspection of the troops after an insurrection.

I see you have received your talking points.

It’s all in the timing…

..and feigned outrage.

Then announce that the election was legitimate and you will support the new administration. You have stoked the flames of this mess.

Do you want us to not question anyone in the National Guard, but you’re fine with questioning the FBI? What you’re doing doesn’t make sense, Rep. Hartzler.

From an active duty law enforcement officer’s lips to your ears, Rep. Harztler. Stop denying facts. Doing so endangers us all. [….]

Your dismissal endanger us all. You must delete this tweet and follow up with accurate info, Rep. Hartzler. [….]

Sit down Vicky Sit down [….]

You are not doing a good job representing your constituents.

For ten years.

Seems prudent to me, but I still remember January 6, 2021 when insurrectionist included police officers, National Guardsmen, and retired military.

You must have been busy that day and weren’t paying attention.

Resign. Immediately.

There were National Guard members in the mob who wanted to kill VP Pence. What makes you think they were all caught?

Uh, did you not see Jan. 6? Also, you caused all of this. Don’t try to pretend that somehow you, or Trump supporters, are the victim. The president certainly doesn’t have loyalty to America. And neither do you. [….]

Uhmmm…some particated in an insurrection so…

Sadly, people like you have spread lies and conspiracy’s that have caused a number of Americans to mount an insurrection. We wouldn’t have to vet anyone if you would tell the truth to your constituents. Your embrace of lies make you culpable in the armed coup.

Former and Active military members and police officers were part of the group that stormed the Capitol a week ago.

The FBI is obligated to research credible threats.

You can respect the troops while vetting them.

Maybe you should get all the facts before you shoot your mouth off. [….]

Has that ever happened before? Just asking.

Stop with the conservative victimhood narrative. Vetting for insider threats is routinely done in the military. [….]

Is there no end to the babbling hypocrisy of Republicans? How about that insurrection? STFU

You spent weeks going along with the lie that the election was stolen and believers of your lie murdered a police officer. Dont talk about reckless

Maybe if there was not Trump supporting insurrectionist already arrested that are members of the Nat’l Guard and law enforcement, we would not be having to do this. They should be doing the same thing to the members of Congress and they can start with you.

Cold. That’s cold.

Steve Cohen?! The fried chicken fool?! His comments are not to be heeded.

Must be a Faux News Channel talking head. Am I correct?

Where is YOUR loyalty to America, Vicky? All we’ve seen from you is refusal to certify election results which aligned you with the insurrectionists. Oh and, bs Republican talking points. Party over country once again.

Just shut up for once.

Oh so you know more than the Generals too, huh?

#Resign #Traitor

There is something fundamentally wrong with you people. There were many former & current firemen, police, political office holders, etc just 10 days ago running amok in DC trying to murder the VP, and it’s the height of white arrogance to suggest there aren’t any there now.

Vicky you want to know what’s really divisive? Lying about election results so much that leads to our Capitol being stormed by some of the White supremacists in the military that we’ve been warning about for years.

There’s that.

“Madam (Vice) President” March – Major Brian Dix

SAN DIEGO — Retired Major Brian Dix, Director Laureate of the United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps, will debut his recent work “Madam (Vice) President” in a performance by an all-volunteer, all-female orchestra hailing from the state of California. Appropriately scheduled in time for the 59th presidential inauguration, the virtual concert honors Vice President-Elect Kamala D. Harris.

Last year, Dix was in discussion with the Rhode Island Philharmonic to debut this symphonic march, originally titled “Madam President,” until the COVID-19 pandemic suspended live performances and the work had to be shelved. Following last year’s historic election, Dix was inspired to rededicate the march to both the first woman vice president and all of the extraordinary women who enter the American political arena.

“When the Associated Press called the election on November 7, several colleagues said, ‘You’ve got to change the title!” Dix said. “Just as the vice president of the United States is also the president of the Senate, this march can pull double duty.”

Dix then assembled an all-volunteer orchestra featuring musicians from professional, semi-professional, college and community orchestras. “This performance is not only for women, but by women,” Dix said. “I want to pay tribute to their hard work over the past 100 years and to inspire younger women to march forward with their dreams, where becoming Madam (Vice) President is the ultimate brass ring.”

A wake up call…

Capitol breach, Donald Trump, Insurrection, Matthew Cooke, sedition, wakeup

Matthew Cooke:

The transcript:

This is a wake-up call for republicans.

America elected Joe Biden by over 7 million votes and you’re confused because you didn’t see us flock to his rallies and cheer his smackdowns like we were at a pro wrestling event during a global pandemic.

We don’t wear matching hats or have “No More Malarkey” flags waving from the backs of our trucks. Do you know why? Because Biden is not our tribal warlord. We believe the job of a U.S. president is to represent more than one interest group. That’s why 81 million of us turned out to stop a narcissistic personality cult that embodies all seven of the deadly sins, most of all pride, which you’ve taken to levels of blasphemy, claiming your political leaders are handpicked by Jesus Christ.

This country is called the United States and we have multiple converging crises that need adult supervision. But we are being distracted trying to get control over a critical mass of you who no longer believe in reality, who’ve been hypnotized to fear a Joe Biden presidency whenever you hear the trigger words radical socialist.

Never mind that Biden is backed by America’s billionaires whose existence depend on corporate capitalism. So your cognitive dissonance is staggering but understandable because the most sophisticated mass media tools ever created have eviscerated your powers of discernment. And there’s a gold rush on slinging alternative facts making millions for opportunists who’ve taken you for quite a ride.

But you need to wake up now and start the deprogramming. The election was not stolen. All that proof you kept sharing about suitcases and duffel bags of discarded ballots? It’s all been debunked.

All the affidavits claiming widespread fraud have been thrown out – over 60 lawsuits contesting the election in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin – republican states, many of the cases overseen by republican and Trump appointed judges.

61 cases tossed out. Trump’s hack attorneys are being sued or are under threat of disbarment. That’s consistent with the countless criminal prosecutions of many former Trump associates.

But the PR stunt worked on the tens of millions of americans primed for mass hysteria. You succumbed to Salem witch trial levels of mental lapse, believing our elections were stolen based on spectral evidence, dreams about krakens which are make-believe.

It’s time to wake up now.

Black Lives Matter is not a terrorist organization any more than Martin Luther King, Jr was a terrorist or Gandhi or Nelson Mandela. Peaceful protests and strikes and boycotts. That’s how a society creates change without violence. Everybody reasonable knows that violence and looting and murder are wrong and counterproductive to a peaceful society. That’s why everybody reasonable condemns militarized cops executing citizens over cigarettes, cell phones, driving, jogging, walking, sleeping, resisting execution. That’s what Black Lives Matter has been protesting. This isn’t a partisan issue, it’s the largest civil rights movement in the history of the nation.

You need to wake up now.

If you join Black Lives Matter then all lives will matter. If it helps you understand it better, shut your eyes. Say to yourself, my life matters and Black Lives Matter.

If we unite there’s hope we can end the savage practice of imprisoning millions of people for the crime of being black or brown or poor.

Atoning for and correcting the mistakes of our ancestors does not mean the next logical step is white genocide, unless you think the legitimate purpose of the criminal justice system is to protect white supremacy like it has up until this moment. If that’s your underlying premise you’re a racist. That’s why you wave a confederate flag. You just doxed yourself and you need conversion therapy.

Time to wake up.

There’s no national Antifa network pretending to be Fascist Trump supporters who want civil war. Antifa are anti-fascists who only exist right now because there are Fascist Trump supporters threatening civil war, inspired by the official republican platform which doesn’t have anything in it other than clinical paranoia re-educating you to believe there’s a conspiracy to seize your guns and gender identity at the same time so you’re so disoriented you can’t defend yourself against a mass immigrant invasion threatening your livelihood.

Come on.

The real danger came from putting a recklessly uneducated man with a personality disorder in the White House who spent his one catastrophic term branding America’s Democratic cities enemies of the country while taking credit for economic growth rates he inherited from a Democrat.

He and his republican Senate, under the smoke screen of your disassociation from reality and the brand name “drain the swamp,” filled the cabinet with profiteers like themselves. Billionaires made a trillion bucks while they gutted our State Department, our FBI, our CIA, our dDHS, our Post Office.

Whatever Trump touched he wrecked. They attacked our U.S. education system, they tore down the minimal regulations that we have protecting america’s water and air, they turned our already abysmal borders into a human rights crisis, they smeared america’s top scientists and doctors, our health care system. They attacked our entire U.S. media.

Their willful incompetence has been so destructive the USA is the epicenter of the worst pandemic in a hundred years. Hundreds of thousands of us are dead, millions are hungry and struggling to survive, and their final act was a massive campaign to try to sabotage the bedrock upon which we stand, American Democracy itself.

This is on you, the republican party.

The majority of white America elected a man whose business model is lying, who demands total obedience while swindling and eventually turning on all of his employees and followers after years of abuse. You elected a perfect cult leader. Our enemies are ecstatic. Our allies are horrified because of the suicidal republican ideology of opposing any limits on gluttony and greed. What was once a beacon of hope all over the world, American Democracy, is no longer a given. Your right-wing leaders and shouting heads, they’re not going to stop clawing their way down a bottomless pit of excuses to continue profiting off of selling you a virtual alternate reality made up of false accusations and revenge fantasies giving you a persecution complex. They won’t stop feeding no matter how many of you are driven right off the deep end.

Any citizen of the United States continuing to fall for it, some of you thinking of taking up arms against the strongest military power on earth, others making excuses for these terrorists because you share the same beliefs, you’re delusional. You don’t have a political party anymore. Come back to reality.

January 6, 2021, that was your come to Jesus moment. Armed insurgents threatened to hang the Vice President, kill the Speaker of the House. They dragged a cop down a flight of stairs and brutally beat another with an American flag. They killed police. A suicidal Q anon follower gave her life trying to break into the House chamber. For what?

The most significant terror attack on our country since 9-11 happened because republican radicals believe Democrats are Satan worshiping pedophiles who stole their country and they’d rather die than lose the protection of their leader.

Defending truth and democracy and equality for all people against any tyranny, foreign and domestic, is the only thing that unites us and protects our freedoms. That’s why Trump is being held accountable for his crimes, along with every Congressperson, every official, every officer, who conspired or continues to wage a mass deception campaign to overthrow American Democracy, especially under the threat of violence.

The First Amendment protects our right to express ourselves without fear of arrest. The right to free speech does not include threats of violence and it certainly does not grant the authority to force media platforms to broadcast single-party hate propaganda that claim only its members are the real America.

For the former republican party who call themselves patriots, this is your wake-up call.

Your nightmare of a brainwashed radical anti-American movement trying to destroy the country was you.

Here we are.

When it’s Sedition, it pours.

Josh Hawley (r) scheduled a February fundraiser in Florida.

Today:

We are horrified and opposed to the events at the Capitol and all who supported and incited the actions. In light of those events and for the safety of our guests and team members, we have informed the host of the Feb. fundraiser that it will no longer be held at Loews Hotels.

Josh Hawley (r) [2016 file photo].

Some of the comments:

You would think Trump’s insurrection mob would pick Trump hotels.

Like Donald himself, have they no loyalty?

Because, God knows, Donald’s hotels are going to need the business.

Every place they go, every thing they do, and every business or person that supports them..:we have to be as loud as the seditionists but use peace, the power of our wallets and the power of our votes to end them.

He should NEVER be allowed into polite elite society EVER. That is all they care about anyway. They should be shunned for life and thank god they are rich and white and able to get out of an insurrection in this country without jail time.

Thank you @Loews_Hotels for not supporting vile and seditious @HawleyMO.

“Supporting Josh Hawley … was the worst decision I’ve ever made in my life,” former MO Sen. John Danforth told The Associated Press.

Danforth is @HawleyMO’s mentor.

Thank you for doing this. I am confident that @HawleyMO can find another way to fleece the public and taxpayers to pay for his family vacation. This is the right move.

Good call.

I’m a professional meeting planner and make venue decisions all the time.

The moral and ethical associations of the venues I choose is a big consideration when I recommend or contract for major meeting and lodging venues.

Good call.

Outstanding. A great corporate response to what is turning out in Hawley’s case to be a national security issue. Its time for others to stand up for our country and what we really believe in.
Made my day.

Thank you. You chose the right side of history. It was either Democracy or Fascism. Glad you chose Democracy.

Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Representative Vicky Hartzler (r) [2016 file photo].

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…”

Today, From Vicky Hartzler (r):

Rep. Vicky Hartzler @RepHartzler
On #ReligiousFreedomDay, we are grateful for our God-given rights to worship freely as our Founding Fathers intended.

Recent events have shown how important it is to preserve and protect these cherished freedoms. Coming together starts with our faith in God — not the government.
[….]
10:33 AM · Jan 16, 2021

“…Coming together starts with our faith in God — not the government.”

Some of the responses:

“Separation of church and state” was also a tenet the founding fathers believed in.

This is entirely unprofessional and insulting for you to say.
We need political leaders.
Not lap dogs for another organization that doesn’t pay taxes.
You need to resign if you can’t see that.

This is emphatically against the very idea of the US government in which religion – yours, mine, theirs – stays outside the halls of power. For shame.

Maybe you should go to seminary school rather than service in secular government.

Separation of church and state ….Sound familiar?

In case you missed it, Christians are ruining Christianity.

God didn’t give us the right of freedom of religion; our Constitution did. And if you think your religion is more important than our government, maybe you shouldn’t be an elected official.

Reminder, freedom of religion is indeed freedom from religion. Also our founding fathers wanted a secular government genius.

Ignorance runs pretty high on their side.

Did the fairies at the end of your garden tell you this ?

I assume you believe in fairies as well as God ?

Who’s religion? Gov does not belong in religion nor religion in government. The constitution already protects religion. We have seen politicians fail to protect the constitution when it failed to suit their needs. Protect the constitution first. Religious freedom follows

Because theocracies are such beacons of peace and freedom….

Freedom OF religion DOES include freedom FROM religion.

Jefferson stated it well to the Bey of Tripoli: We are not a Christian Nation.

The whole point of Religious Freedom Day is to be able to choose how or if you practice religion, not to push Christianity above other religions. What the actual hell is wrong with your brain?? Separation of Church and State happened for a reason

Umm our founding fathers came here to avoid having everybody under one religion. Maybe ,just a thought, you should try reading the constitution of the United States of America.

There have been recent events where Christianity was prohibited?

Yeah. By Evangelical churches, primarily… They violated the First Commandment and worship 45**

Millions of Americans do not want your religious ideologies anywhere near legislative decisions that affect our lives.

I don’t believe in your God. I also have the freedom the believe that.

Trying to further radicalize your base in the name of God. Smdh. You have no business holding a position in our government if you never learned about separation of church and state.

Would those be the recent events that Vicky helped spur on by casting doubt on Biden’s election win? The events that ended with a cop getting killed? Are those the recent events that we’re talking about?

Because I distinctly remember God saying something about not lying.

You need to re-read the founding documents of our nation because you have missed entirely the critical distinction of the separation between church and state. Your words and deeds are another reason to put Christ back in Christian not just Christmas.

Evangelicals never impose Christianity on themselves. Amirite, Vicky!

Great but January 17 is hereby declared as freedom from religion day.

Your last phrase sounds as if you think we all have to believe in God in order to find goodness and connection with our fellow human beings.
I’m sure you didn’t mean it that way. We don’t live in, nor want, a theocracy.

So you’re praising the founding fathers…while railing against the secular governing system they founded. WTAF. Conflicted much?

Are all your constituents Christian??

Free to resign.

Nope! The constitution is what rules America. And it says a separation of church & state.
Full stop

When will we be enlightened enough to have freedom from religion.

Freedom of religion also means freedom FROM religion.

Keep your “god” to yourself.

What about the freedom to not worship a god(s)? Some of us don’t and still feel unity with our fellow Americans. Coming together is based on our commitment to the ideals of country and Constitution.

Recent events and violence stoked by church leaders within the Christian Nationalist evangelical movement.

To hell with that.

So what you’re saying is that you’re not actually willing to abide by your oath of office?

There’s that.

Resign

Who’s god?

This is extremely dangerous rhetoric.

Keep YOUR religion out of my gov’t. Ya know, like the Constitution says

Vicky Hartzler voted against:

Restoring the Voting Rights Act
Providing disaster relief to Puerto Rico
Combating brutality and racial discrimination by police
Expanding ACA
Raising minimum wage to $15

She needs to get out of government so she can spend more time with her faith.

Oh put a sock in it, lady.

You version of Christianity is nothing like mine. In fact, your cult should have no say in our government.

What part of “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,” do you not understand?

I am tired of hearing about your faith. Jesus this, Jesus that…you invoke his name to justify actions that are craven, down right depraved. And for what? What do you get out of it?

It’s disgusting. If you could feel shame you would.

But you can’t.

You should probably delete this…and resign.

And on and on….

Josh Hawley (r) [2016 file photo].

We are Americans committed to the rule of law. We watched in horror at the insurrection of the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.

The mob of seditionists who stormed the seat of American democracy were inspired and supported by several members of Congress including U.S. Senator Josh Hawley and others.

Just Oust Seditious Hacks PAC (JOSHPAC) is a permanent effort to call these irresponsible officials out for who they are – Traitors.

A video from Josh PAC:

The transcript:

It started with a lie.

Are you trying to say that as of January 20th that President Trump will still be president?

Josh Hawley: “Well Brett, that de,that depends on what happens on Wednesday.”

Shots have been fired inside the Capitol building.

The Capitol being overrun, lawmakers diving for cover, hearing flashbangs, armed standoff at the doors of the House floor.

Missouri Senator Josh Hawley helped to incite the riot at the U.S Capitol, fanning the flames of a lie. Hawley spearheaded the movement to object to the Electoral College certification. At the Capitol with his fists raised, gave a supportive fist to the insurrectionists as they descended on the capitol and then sent out a fundraising text message during its invasion.

Hawley was dropped by donors and disavowed by his mentor John Danforth. Four people died in the chaos. The Kansas City Star writes plainly that he has quote blood on his hands.

Senators swear an oath to the Constitution and loyalty to this country, not aid and abet an attempted coup against both.

This will not be the last of these.
