Climate Alarmism is a cult.

RNC Research – that’s an oxymoron if we’ve ever heard one.

Some of the responses:

The GOP is a cult.

People sell their souls for a few extra bucks.

Is this why you were elected?

No, but it is a symptom.

Climate denier- asleep, bloated, mediocre male tries to be relevant so Orange Julius will notice him

Bad combover. Check. Too long red tie. Check. Orange spray tan. Check. Tiny hands. Check. Cluelessness. Check…

Heh.

Election Denial is a cult.
[….]

Climate alarmism is science. Climate alarmism is caring for God’s creation. Climate alarmism is caring for the poor. Climate alarmism is the only sane response to the truth we must face. #ActOnClimate #ClimateAction #ClimateActionNow #ClimateEmergency

Tell me you’re in the pocket of big oil companies without telling me you’re in the pocket of big oil companies. [….]

Says a member of the Trump cult.

Did you fail all of your science classes?

So many questions.

Trump lost.

Says the guy who sold Missouri farms to the Chinese

Heh.

Climate denial is even worse.

Bless your heart.
[….]

Climate Change Denial should be labeled as Paid Programming.
You’re an embarrassment to the state of Missouri.

You Sir, are tragically misinformed.

He probably knows better, he just doesn’t care.

No, it is science. A lot of citizens still believe in science. I wish you did.

This is not going to age well, Senator

Fascist

It’s not “alarmism” if it’s happening, DS.

Yeah sure, scientific facts and current extreme weather are just not a problem.

You’re right Eric, I trust you over the worlds leading scientists on this subject… [….]

Probably sarcasm.

It’s the cultists who cannot differentiate science from the occult.

Climate denialism is a cult .. FIXED IT

Denying what is happening to our climate, especially by an elected official, who is supposed to be working towards the good of the people, should be a crime. #GOPCorruptionOverCountry

Climate change deniers are ignorant and dangerous

Says a science denying fascist cult guy.

Go look at independent research and analysis by insurance companies. You will find they have determined climate change is real and getting worse.

Cool. So does that mean red states will stop crawling to the feds to bail them out after extreme weather events?

Climate change denying is a cult

MAGA is a genuine cult. A fascist one!

Like the projection here lol

See above.

Not really, there is loads of proof. You’re just a loser hack.

Idiot!!

You could just say “I am anti-Science” and be done with it.

Nope – climate alarmism is based on science – have you heard about that?

Interesting how you hate anything that will make the world a better place.

The tRump cult you’re in is deadly

You would know what being in a cult is like

What a surprise a Republican would say that. Republicans lie about everything. Move on.

Yes we should believe thought leaders like you instead 🤡🤡🤡

Consider the source.

Unbelievable that you would feel that way given all the scientific evidence we now have plus what’s happening right in front of us. Are you blind?

No, sir, he’s a republican.

All of science is a cult, really. Right? Not like it’s ever produced anything useful.

RNC Research-an oxymoron if ever heard one.

Heh.

Meanwhile your cult is flipping out over drag queens, cat boxes and books.

Actually, a cult would be a subset of the electorate that storms a nation’s capital and attempts to overthrow the government.

YOU are in a cult, skippy.

Everything about you bums me out. You are such a tool.

Ignoring climate change is short sighted and foolish, there is no Planet B.

There is no Planet B.

Aren’t you the Eric Schmitt that voted twice to sell land to the Chinese? Didn’t you once help over ride a veto to force the Governor to be able to do that? How’s that kind of thinking working out for you now that you’re in DC? Are you in a cult?

More science deniers, never underestimate the power of stupidity!

Climate Change Denialism is a cult. We’re already paying tens of billions per year because of it. Look beyond your radical right bubble to what’s going on globally in crop loss, mass migration.

Demonstrating to everyone, once again, that he really is that stupid

This morning:

Jay Ashcroft @JayAshcroftMO
62 school districts in Missouri are closed, leaving thousands of parents without the choice for what is best for their child. That is unacceptable. Keep schools open and the right to decide what is best for the family for the parents.
10:31 AM · Jan 29, 2022

The stupid, it burns.

“…That is unacceptable…”

If you buy his crap you’re as stupid as he is.

Some of the responses:

And keep local control so school boards and local leaders can decide what’s best for THEIR communities without fear of being sued by the state and wasting taxpayers’ money! Deal?

Not gonna happen.

Perhaps protocols that would prevent sickness that forces teachers and students to stay home from school would be sensible. Can you think of any?

Uh, like wearing masks, promoting vaccines, contact tracing, quarantine?

There is not enough staff to keep them open. Kids are sick. This has nothing to do with parents rights. So tired of the gaslighting. The virus did not go away just because Parsons said he was done with it.

Why are the schools closed, Jay?

Why are 62 school districts closed?

Take a wild guess.

My goodness, you might mention they’re closed because teachers and staff are ill. This has nothing to do with ‘parents not having the choice’, it has to do with a pandemic. This is the most idiotic tweet I’ve seen in months and you’ve had a lot of competition.

Jay Ashcroft really is that stupid.

Where sleeping through junior high school math and science takes you

After reviewing the collected data (7-day average,) it appears the counties with the highest populations have the highest vaccination rates. They also have the highest number of cases.
Boone – 51% V rate – 63 cases
Clay – 44% V rate – 46 cases
Franklin – 46% V rate – 49 cases
Greene – 41% V rate – 55 cases
Jackson – 44% V rate – 413 cases
Jefferson – 36% V rate – 104 cases
St. Charles – 49% V rate – 121 cases
St. Louis County – 50% V rate – 248 cases

Highest population not surprisingly have a high gross number of cases. Notice no rates. No effort to compare counties bases on number of cases per 10,000.
Since when is a 51% vaccination rate high or adiquate to slow an epidemic.
She does not understand math or epidemiology.

Bad math is dangerous

So without the information pertaining to how many of the cases are vaccinated, she reaches that conclusion? I mean I can roughly estimate that 100% of the people who tested positive drank water or some liquid prior to testing positive, so is water/liquid causing Covid?

This is just basic math—if one figure is shown as a percent, the next should be as well, otherwise it is quite literally cherry-picking information.

The thing I really find disturbing, other than the lack of math skills, is this person is part of the board. She has access to the people who track infectious disease in her community but obviously has no interest in learning from them. I cannot imagine that she can’t just talk to the people at the health center and say, “look, I’m reading these statistics, what do they mean? Does that mean more vaccinated people means more infections?” It’s been my experience that the people who work in public health are more than willing to explain if you have a question.

It’s sad she is on our heslth board with such a poor grasp of facts and committed to such a scary agenda that is contrary to her oath of office. It doesn’t speak well of her character or ability to serve.

He wears his willful ignorance, inhumanity, and lack of empathy like it’s a badge of honor.

Governor Mike Parson (r) [2019 file photo].

Today:

American Bridge @American_Bridge
Wearing a mask is a simple act that could save lives. When asked why he didn’t wear a mask today,
@GovParsonMO said simply: “I choose not to.”
This isn’t leadership. #Missouri deserves better. #MOGov #COVID19
[….]
4:19 PM · May 4, 2020

The transcript:

Question: Hello, governor. Um, I know that you mentioned masks before.

Governor Mike Parson (r): Right.

Question: Um, and you went to the DAV in Joplin and there were a lot of veterans who were wearing masks.

Governor Mike Parson (r): Right.

Question: Um, why did you personally not wear a mask?

Governor Mike Parson (r): I choose not to.

Question: Um, when the public goes out of their houses because it’s Monday and the loosening of ordner, orders happened today, do you encourage the public to wear masks?

Governor Mike Parson (r): I think it’s up to the individuals. I, I don’t think that’ government’s role to mandate who wears a mask and who don’t. I think it works perfectly simple. The business owners there provided masks for the employees, they want ’em to wear ’em. That’s the way it should be. If you want to wear a mask and you go in a business, then wear a mask. Uh, but if you don’t, I don’t think it’s government’s place to regulate that. I think everybody, again, I’m gonna go back to what I’ve said all along. It’s your personal responsibility, just like you wearing a mask today, you want to wear one. You know, nobody required you to wear it or not wear one today. You want to do that. And I think every individual should have that freedom to do that. Again, common sense, self discipline, your choice.

Evidently he’s never encountered the concept of asymptomatic viral transmission. You know, like at a meat packing plant and in the surrounding community.

“…just like you wearing a mask today, you want to wear one…”

Because she’s not stupid. Nor is she a sociopath.

“…Again, common sense, self discipline, your choice…”

He can’t be that fucking stupid, can he? In the same breath he states that wearing a mask takes common sense and discipline. He’s arguing that he lacks both.

Governor Mike Parson (r) [2018 file photo].

Don’t be like Mike Parson (r).

Wear a mask, save lives.

Stay Home. Wash your hands. Don’t touch your face. Good luck to us all.

Bill Blazejowski: “What if you mix the mayonnaise in the can, with the tunafish? Or… hold it! Chuck! I got it! Take live tuna fish, and feed ’em mayonnaise! Oh this is great.”

Yesterday, from a right wingnut media grifter:

Bill Mitchell @mitchellvii
I do not understand how our hospitals can handle 670,000 flu cases every year, but a few thousand COVID-19 cases overwhelm the system.

We have been dealing with massive flu outbreaks for decades.

To me this is all part of the hype.
7:27 AM · Mar 21, 2020

A response he might be able to understand:

kilgore trout, stonks autographer @KT_So_It_Goes
I do not understand how mcdonalds can serve two billion hamburgers every year but when I order five million at the drive thru it overwhelms the system
[….]
3:45 PM · Mar 21, 2020

Nah, probably not.

Some of the other responses to the first Tweet:

In fairness, there’s a lot you don’t understand.

But it’s because if you go to the hospital with COVID-19, you will require much more intensive care than if you go to the hospital with the flu and healthcare workers are vaccinated against the flu.

I know it is impossible for stupid people to understand why they’re stupid, but GOD you’re stupid.

Perhaps talk to an expert rather than kissing the mirror and you might figure out why you’re stupid. But I know – youre too stupid to know you need to talk to an expert.

You could’ve just stopped with “I do not understand ” because it’s very obvious how your ignorance is a suit you wear proudly.

Because you’re an idiot. Those 370K-670K flu hospitalizations span 5 months. And C19 cases are *on top* of that. Further, no one is immune to C19 and 20% of cases require hospitalization. Do the math. Left to run its course, it could be 320M x 20% = 64M potential patients. See?

Sure, happy to explain, Bill. COVID19 is at least 30x more lethal than flu. People that die from it first require hours and days of intensive care, as do the people who survive.

Right now 1/5 patients who are COVID positive are sick enough to need hospital admission. It is uncommon for people with flu to get sick enough to need admission let alone ICU care. Also flu is not as contagious so we see cases spread over many months instead of all at once.

Ah yes, media hype.

That’s why in Italy the military is collecting coffins because the morgues are overwhelmed.

That’s why all those air carriers grounded 90% of their planes.

That’s why borders are closed.

Because of media hype.

Despicable grifter.

Because those flu patients aren’t in the hospital all at once, and if they’re hospitalized, have a much lower risk of needing intubation/ventilation.

Are you trolling, or genuinely opining on a topic you appear to know virtually nothing about?

It might be faster to just list the things you do understand

We can explain it to you but we can’t understand it for you

When I see something this dumb, I think maybe I was too harsh on Gigli

I would tell you to zip it, but you don’t understand zippers either.

It just doesn’t make any sense! And like, it’s ridiculous that the soil can absorb ~32 inches of rain every year, but we get just eight inches in a couple hours and suddenly there are severe floods! The world is just so illogical!!

I drink hundreds of glasses of water per year and yet I threw up after drinking a mere 40 glasses today.

^Do you see the issue or should I find smaller words?

I’d say there’s a lot you don’t understand, you cabbage.

It goes on and on…
