We all know that wars are expensive in munitions and people but there comes a point when ‘the line in the sand is drawn’ and we all have to stand against the aggressors. When Trump and this current government denies that Putin initiated this war in Ukraine and calls Zelensky a dictator and tries to bully and blackmail him into handing over key mineral supplies without agreeing to guaranteeing support against Russia- you can understand why he is frustrated. We are a laughing stock after what happened today and America is no longer the bastion of honor and strength. You should be ashamed of what happened and the fact that you can with a straight face turn this around to blame Zelensky is disgraceful

Today, the chief diplomat of the United States yelled down the democratically elected leader of a nation with which we have been allies for 34 years since it gained its independence from the Soviet Union. He did so in order to solicit thanks from that democratically elected leader for aid which he is currently threatening to discontinue in order to further the goals of Russian Oligarchs and the Chekist leadership currently running Russia. Today is probably the darkest day in American history, definitely surpassing things like 9/11 in which their was, at worst, at least an attempt to create a façade of support for the ideals of democracy. Today, our elected leader left a despicable stain on the honor and decency of the American nation and the American people. Today, America and the principles of liberty, justice, and equanimity in the face of authoritarianism for which it has stood for decades, if not centuries, was put second to the ego of a loud orange man in a ill-fitting suit who has aligned himself with a Russian demagog. Today, our allies would be well advised to strongly reconsider their relationships with us.
