From the White House:

APRIL 23, 2024
Statement from President Joe Biden on Senate Passage of the National Security Package

Tonight, a bipartisan majority in the Senate joined the House to answer history’s call at this critical inflection point. Congress has passed my legislation to strengthen our national security and send a message to the world about the power of American leadership: we stand resolutely for democracy and freedom, and against tyranny and oppression.

I will sign this bill into law and address the American people as soon as it reaches my desk tomorrow so we can begin sending weapons and equipment to Ukraine this week. The need is urgent: for Ukraine, facing unrelenting bombardment from Russia; for Israel, which just faced unprecedented attacks from Iran; for refugees and those impacted by conflicts and natural disasters around the world, including in Gaza, Sudan, and Haiti; and for our partners seeking security and stability in the Indo-Pacific. I want to thank Leader Schumer, Leader McConnell, and all of the bipartisan lawmakers in the Senate who voted for this bill. This critical legislation will make our nation and world more secure as we support our friends who are defending themselves against terrorists like Hamas and tyrants like Putin.

Josh Hawley (r) [2016 file photo].

On Monday:

Senator Josh Hawley
[April 22, 2024]
Nothing works in the U.S. under Joe Biden: We have pieces of planes falling out of the sky and illegal immigrants killing Americans.
The President is deliberately dismantling our country.
[…]

Gaslighting dumbass.

Some of the responses:

Oh BS. Y’all WANTED “de-regulation” because “Bizness does everything better” – NOW you want to blame anybody else for Bizness’s CHOICES to screw safety for bigger profit$.

Josh is a joke … laughingstock

Notice all of those Republican led states with the infrastructure issues…

Guess he doesn’t remember when tRump promised to rebuild our airports, roads, schools and bridges and did nothing

Josh Hawley fled from his own supporters on January 6th 2021.

So somehow in Hawley’s tiny brain Biden is responsible for Boeing’s failures? What nonsense. If anyone is accountable it is the GOP for always being against regulatory agencies. The airline industry is an example where “companies will regulate themselves” didn’t work. Profits were placed over safety.

The performative politician exaggerates and lies… and never takes responsibility for any of his votes or actions.

Joshie blaming others for his incompetence.

This is propaganda designed to get votes. Hawley is frightened enough that he will lose the upcoming election that he has to blame President Biden, Democrats or RINOs for anything that goes wrong, even when he has voted NO to bills that would be of benefit. If you support him, be careful, He will not stop there. Missourians, Republican and Democrat both, deserve better, someone who can work for and achieve rational, compassionate change.

I will not vote for any candidate that supports defendant Trump.

Hawley is back on Foxnews where he is loved and sheltered. According to Hawley, before 1-20-21, there was absolutely no power outages, 911 always worked, planes never crashed, and bridges never fell. Meanwhile Hawley voted against the infrastructure bill.

He voted against the bi-partisan infrastructure bill in 2021 and led the charge to kill the bi-partisan immigration bill just a few months ago. He doesnt want solutions.

I didn’t know Biden was a Boeing shareholder. What’s in your portfolio?

You get a paycheck from FAUX?

“Faux News channel, fascist groupies” – protest sign, circa 2003- 2004.

The border problem belongs to the Republicans they voted against the Biden bill that was the strongest bill ever. And Biden doesn’t run the airlines

Chicken Run Hawley, what a joke

And you ran around fist pumping the mob on Jan 6.

Typical Lyin’ Joshy.

You are all so full of S#!T. Just once tell the truth and report on the good things that are going on under the Biden administration. O right you wouldn’t know the truth if it slapped you in the face.

Spineless MAGAT
[….]

You’re an idiot. Blaming everything on Biden is totally political propaganda. Blame the airlines. How many legal Americans are killing other Americans. Far, far more than illegal immigrants. Snd you can blame those deaths on yourself and the rest of the Republicans that won’t vote for revision of gun laws on this country. Don’t forget to throw some of that blame onto the NRA.

You’re a liar. You can blame Republican deregulation for the planes. A lot more legal residents kill Americans than undocumented people do, but that doesn’t fit your outrage narrative. Missouri: we can do better than this, let’s vote Josh out this fall.

JOSH HAWLEY is a GODDAMN ENEMY OF AMERICA.

Fascist is as Fascist does.

Mark Alford (r) [2023 file photo].

Yesterday:

Congressman Mark Alford
[April 20, 2024]
Concerning today’s votes, I could not in good faith support more aid for Ukraine, and to secure their border while ours is left wide open.
For months, we have asked for strategic clarity on the conflict in Eastern Europe, and I have received zero answers.
While Ukraine needs to defeat Russia, until this Administration gives an unclassified explanation to the American people on how our money is being spent and how they define victory in Ukraine, I will not support another dime to Ukraine.
Congress has already invested $113 billion in this cause.
[….]

“Россия” (Russia) – a variant of the Russian presidential flag.

Some of the responses:

HOW do they DEFINE VICTORY in Ukraine”? Are you friggin’ kidding?? Kick RUSSIA OUT. You wanna know when it will end??? ASK PUTIN, or maybe his easiest orange puppet, tho I doubt he could remember whatever Putin told him to do.

I never thought I would see the day where a majority of the Republican party cowered in front of Russian aggression. Your ‘rationale ‘ for not supporting Ukraine is ridiculous. There has been explicit accounting for how aid to Ukraine has and will be spent. How is the strategic aim of Ukraine restoring control within its sovereign borders in any way not clear? Your actions jeopardize the security of our nation.

Thank God there were enough true Americans in the House that understands supporting Ukraine is in the best interest of the United States national security. Something this Putin loving Representative doesn’t understand or even really care about.

“Make America Great Again” – in Russian.

In good faith you couldn’t vote for the border bill. All so you can complain nonstop about it. Missouri deserves better.

There’s that, too.

Putin thanks you.

By supporting Ukraine we support America. You apparently don’t

This is not a “conflict in Eastern Europe’. You are using curated words to try and minimize it and make it sound regional. This a raging war, the most horrendous aggression in post-WW2 Europe, over two years now, which is threatening the world peace. The democratic world and one of its leaders USA must support Ukraine so that Ruzia be defeated.

Damn Mark. Your position sux. Lining up with Marjorie Taylor Greene and Putin sure doesn’t paint the picture of a statesman in my book.

“Useful idiot” works.

Moscow Mark is a big hit with the traitors in our country.

Today America stood up and annoyed Vladimir Putin and Marjory Taylor Green.
Today is a good day.

Congress FINALLY figured out what side of history America should be on. And boy oh boy is Marjorie Taylor Greene mad about it.
She’s on the news right now, screaming in fury. Literally furious in her rage.
She’s on social media right now, madder than hell.
Boy, is she mad.
So?
So what?
Marjorie Taylor Green represents a handful of inbred Confederates who hate nearly everything about the United States it’s possible to hate and who’d gleefully kiss Vladimir Putin’s tyrannical ass and leave Ukraine to its fate just for the sheer sadistic joy of spitting in the face of humanity.
And so what?
Listen, the bitter anger of racist traitors and ignorant seditionists means about as much to me as that fake golf trophy Trump gave to himself. They’ve been losing since April 9th, 1865, you’d think they get used to it.
Let them rage.

Meanwhile, from the White House:

APRIL 20, 2024
Statement from President Joe Biden on House Passage of the National Security Package

Today, members of both parties in the House voted to advance our national security interests and send a clear message about the power of American leadership on the world stage. At this critical inflection point, they came together to answer history’s call, passing urgently-needed national security legislation that I have fought for months to secure.

This package will deliver critical support to Israel and Ukraine; provide desperately needed humanitarian aid to Gaza, Sudan, Haiti, and other locations impacted by conflicts and natural disasters around the world; and bolster security and stability in the Indo-Pacific. It comes at a moment of grave urgency, with Israel facing unprecedented attacks from Iran, and Ukraine under continued bombardment from Russia. I want to thank Speaker Johnson, Leader Jeffries, and the bipartisan coalition of lawmakers in the House who voted to put our national security first. I urge the Senate to quickly send this package to my desk so that I can sign it into law and we can quickly send weapons and equipment to Ukraine to meet their urgent battlefield needs.

Last night, from the White House:

APRIL 19, 2024
Statement from President Joe Biden on UAW Vote in Tennessee

Congratulations to the workers at Volkswagen in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on their historic vote for union representation with the United Auto Workers. I was proud to stand alongside auto workers in their successful fight for record contracts, and I am proud to stand with auto workers now as they successfully organize at Volkswagen. Across the country, union members have logged major wins and large raises, including auto workers, actors, port workers, Teamsters, writers, warehouse and health care workers, and more. Together, these union wins have helped raise wages and demonstrate once again that the middle-class built America and that unions are still building and expanding the middle class for all workers.

Six Republican governors wrote a letter attempting to influence workers’ votes by falsely claiming that a successful vote would jeopardize jobs in their states. Let me be clear to the Republican governors that tried to undermine this vote: there is nothing to fear from American workers using their voice and their legal right to form a union if they so choose. In fact, the growing strength of unions over the last year has gone hand-in-hand with record small business and jobs growth alongside the longest stretch of low unemployment in more than 50 years. I will continue to stand with American workers and stand against Republican’s effort to weaken workers’ voice.
