Today:

Governor Mike Parson @GovParsonMO
As long as I am Governor of Missouri, I will do everything under my authority to never let the federal government mandate COVID vaccines in our schools.
3:03 PM · Oct 20, 2022

Also today, in Oklahoma:

Governor Kevin Stitt @GovStitt
Regardless of what the CDC says, as long as I am governor, we will never force kids to get a COVID vaccine to go to school.
2:41 PM · Oct 20, 2022

It took twenty-four minutes for the talking point of the day to register with the sock puppet.

He’s on a roll.

Tin foil.

Last night, from the U.S. Representative for Missouri’s 8th Congressional District:

Jason Smith @JasonSmithMO
The Biden administration wants to knock down your door KGB-style to force people to get vaccinated. We must oppose forced vaccination!
7:43 PM · Jul 17, 2021

Some of the responses:

Your aide told me on the phone on January 5th that you following the will of the people was “just my opinion”.

Most of the responses are about what a horrible dishonest thing to say to perpetuate a mentality literally killing my fellow Missourians right now.

But on a different note, the KGB never did door to door vaccinations back in the old USSR, not sure where Jason picked that up.

He picked it up right out of his butt

This is a dishonest tweet and is contributing to deaths

They got me walking out my front door on my way to work with one of those net launchers, held me down and gave me the shot. The whole thing was actually very humane.

This kind of rhetoric is not helpful as we seek to counter the rise in Delta COVID-19 cases in Missouri. Vaccinations save lives and must remain nonpartisan; please don’t politicize public health.

Too late.

Can Republicans make a point without lying? Could you even try?

No. No. This has been another edition of short answers to simple questions.

This is so horrible and not true. I hate that you feel you need to propagate this type of message. Power, prestige whatever it is you are seeking is not worth this. I pray you find your way back to truth and common sense.

He can’t go back to a place he’s never been.

This you?

He’s a dumbass.

No, they want to send local community members door to door to speak with their neighbors about the vaccines that are available for free, why getting vaccinated is important, and dispel the misinformation you—a sitting congressman—is spewing into the wind. You should be ashamed.

You know, you could actually be a force for good in American lives if you talked about real things instead of made-up ones.

Is it worth it? Really?

How misleading…. From the guy who represents the district with THE MOST Covid cases at this time, one would think you’d have the decency to recommend vaccinations. But no…. You’d rather let the virus take a toll on your constituents.

And he’s vaccinated himself.

You’ve never answered what you did at the insurrection. We have a picture of you there.

OK. Even assuming that was true (which it absolutely is not) now tell me how many ICU beds are currently available in your district? And how many new cases of COVID in the last week? And of those how many are the Delta variant? What are you doing to oppose THAT?

We must oppose something that isn’t happening so I can win my primary even if it kills all my constituents!!!

If you have to lie to gain political points then you have no point

No they don’t. And you’re already vaccinated

Sir, honest question, is this kind of stuff worth a $174k a year job?

You know this isn’t true. So why say it?

You lie and are a disgrace. Period.

This is a lie. Missouri is a hotbed of illness that’s preventable with a simple vaccine. You are getting people killed you seditious weasel.

It must be wonderful to live in a state where I don’t have to wear a mask, get a vaccine, or really do any critical thinking. I also have the right to watch my neighbors and loved ones gasp their final breaths.

Enjoy!

You are a liar, and you are putting your constituents’ lives at risk

This is patently untrue. Our health care workers need support – not blatant lies.

This is, of course, bullshit.

Covid levels hitting winter highs and more in your state, and you tweet this?

It’s kind of cute that you think the KGB does door-to-door vaccinations

“Make America Great Again” – in Russian.

After that we will force you to look at our fabric swatches and paint cards to choose new window treatments and tasteful color palettes for your walls and funiture.

And they’re really going to go high pressure on the extended warranty for your car.

Wait, is this a parody account?

Sadly, no.

Honestly that kinda sounds badass

That’s not remotely true, but you know that.

The Biden administration wants to take away your birthday cake and ponies! We must oppose pony theft!

And they’ll take your Bibles, too!

I heard the Biden administration is secretly working on an executive order to go door-to-door giving all registered Republicans forced government enemas, can you comment on this?

And on and on…

“You does you.”

Charles Jaco @charlesjaco1
From this evening’s school board meeting at the Francis Howell School District in white flight exurban St. Charles County, MO. These are relatively affluent middle-class suburbanites. This here is the Jan 6 demographic.

Slept through their science, math, and English classes.

Some of the responses:

Hard to change a mind that does not exist in the first place…
[….]

That’s my alma mater! Was it always this bad and I didn’t realize because I was a kid? Surely it’s gotten worse over the trump years right?

I am strongly in support of immigration, and am sure that these people will learn our language as soon as humanly possible

No mind here worth changing..

I’m guessing they did not pass science class…..this uneducated mess right here is why this variant is taking over Missouri. [….]

They failed English as well.

Missouri has a massive amount of selfish & stupid people ruining it for everyone else.

Pathetic, just embarrassingly pathetic.

Morons

I would love for anyone to go up to these dolts and ask them to define Marxism….

That do make you think.

The government is spying on us through our toasters…

Tin foil.

On Monday:

Josh Hawley @HawleyMO
So now the Biden Administration wants to get into people’s text messages … to force vaccine compliance and who knows what else
[….]
8:14 PM · Jul 12, 2021

Apparently the tracking microchips aren’t in the vaccine. Time to switch to a rotary dial land line.

Idiot.

Some of the responses:

Everyone needs to be vaccinated. How many dead do you want?

Since when is giving people correct information and offering them help considered “forcing” them to do something?

Where in the text does it say ANY of what you say-force vaccine compliance? Where? Is scaring the base the only way you know how to communicate, Senator?

What is wrong with a text message about how to get to a vaccine? I thought earlier you were praising how fast Trump got the vaccine done and now you don’t want people to take it? Which is it, you can’t have both?

Hey Josh, how’s that Delta Outbreak going in MO? Are you waiting for the Lambda version to arrive too?

Making something available and easier to get is not forcing.

So now the GOP doesn’t want Americans to get vaccinated? Headuptheass is a serious disease and it looks like we have another pandemic on our hands

Do you live in 2002? Are you paying per text?

Heard you were big on technology. Guess that was false

#protip: you can’t vaccinate text messages, mobile phones, etc.

Missouri counties are in the top 20 of USA for covid cases, hospitalizations, and death. Your voters are dying and You have no answers or appropriate response.

The irony is that the Biden administration is encouraging rural conservatives to get this life-saving vaccine, and you’re encouraging them to get this deadly virus.

Stopping the spread of misinformation and saving lives is such a horrible thing.

Those aren’t the text messages you should be worried about Joshy boy

We see what you did there.

Offering information is not force. Try helping America instead of standing in the way.

When undermining the world’s oldest democracy isn’t enough.

So managing public health concerns isn’t easy and I’m not sure where the privacy lines should be drawn but at least thought being put into it is better than a finger pointing Twitter barrage. Nice job as usual telling me something I can read myself.

Great! Conveying public health information is the function of good government. Thank you

That’s not at all what this says Josh.

I get amber alerts automatically. What’s the difference?

They might even start making you wear shoes in restaurants

That’s not what this says.

Your state is doing great. Keep up the good work.

God forbid Americans are informed

Bold of you to come out against Amber Alerts

The day they start “fact checking” my text messages to friends and family is the day I covfefe.

Bet your glad you live in VA now so your family is safe.

Oh the horror! People who want to be vaccinated getting vaccinated!! #Jerk

“To force vaccine compliance”? Did you actually read the thing you posted? It says no such thing. You’re not even a good liar.

Josh Hawley (r) [2016 file photo].

Idiot.

Grotesque and offensive willful ignorance doubles down – this morning:

Marjorie Taylor Greene @mtgreenee
Well hate freedom media would you look at this story.

It appears Nazi practices have already begun on our youth.

Show your VAX papers or no in person class for you.

This is exactly what I was saying about the gold star.

This is disgusting!
[….]

Dumbshit.

Currently, in Missouri [pdf]:

Missouri School Immunization Requirements

Missouri School Immunization Requirements 0-18 Years of Age

The responses to Marjorie Taylor Greene (r):

Unvaccinated students have been banned from K-12 and college for many years. Polio, smallpox, etc. This is nothing new.

We already have to get vaccinated to attend school. Are your children not vaccinated against polio or smallpox?

“Routine smallpox vaccination among the American public stopped in 1972 after the disease was eradicated in the United States.” – CDC

I couldn’t go to elementary school without my MMR vaccine as a kid, among others.

At least 24 states require college students to be vaccinated against meningitis; at least 16 states require Hep B shots.

Many colleges also require MMR and TDap shots.

All without being called Nazis.
[….]

You have a severe misunderstanding of:

A. Historical Nazis

B. The history of mandatory vaccines for schools.

You should ask one of @mattgaetz girlfriends to explain the second one before she goes back to high school in the fall.

Read the replies Mags. It’s already a thing. It’s already been a thing for years. Yet here you are just trying to rile people up because you absolutely KNOW the people who follow you are too dumb to know the difference. You play them for the fools they are. When will they learn?

What does that first sentence even mean?

I literally had to show my records to go to college in 2000, this is not new

COVID-19

Two thing separate the US from the rest of the world
1 masks
2 vaccinations

I love the fact that you actually think you are smart!!!!

Dunning-Kruger.

psst…Marge, when my daughters started college, they had to have proof of vaccinations. Come to think of it, when they started Kindergarten, they had to have proof of vaccinations.

Required vaccinations are nothing new, my kids needed their MMR, DPT, chicken pox, polio vaccines to go to school. Even back when I was a kid I was required! Do you know how absolutely ridiculous you sound?

Dunning-Kruger.

You do know who the Nazis were, don’t you Marge?

False equivalency, Ms Greene. Even in your home state of Georgia since 01 July 2014 all students from grade 7 onwards must have must have received one dose of tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap) vaccine and one dose of meningococcal (meningitis) vaccine.

Students already have to show proof of vaccinations for other pathogens before attending college, unless they apply for (and are granted) an exemption for religious or medical reasons. Campuses are germ factories; the many vaccinated protect the few who cannot be.

Marjorie Taylor Greene plumbs the depth of stupidity and evil.

The horrifying, noxious idea that Nazi attacks on Jews before their extermination were somehow NOT part of the Holocaust

Jews in ghettoes forced to wear the yellow star was part of the Holocaust

You stupid monster.

Her stupidity is not an excuse.

Does she understand that we have required vaccines in schools for decades?

Oh, stop. Y’all hate college anyway. You all are so good at not having any fundamental belief system. Owning libs isn’t political strategy, you psychopath.

You are vile.

Comparing the slaughter of 6 million Jewish mothers, fathers, grandparents, children, babies to requiring proof of a life-saving vaccine, so we can end a global pandemic?

What is wrong with you?
You need help.

Can you even read?

#FuckOffNazi

Breathtaking stupidity.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, in association with Matt Gaetz, spell the end for the modern Republican Party as a viable political party going forward.

The embrace of the GOP of these two clowns is an amazing act of self-sabotage.

Dimwit just learned schools require vaccinations? Just fu

It takes a special kind of stupid to double down on the holocaust comparisons.

And on and on.

The republican party

Too late. That started on January 6, 2021.

Would fit right in with the majority in the Missouri General Assembly.
