“…No lawyer in State of MO should be able to castrate the Attorney General…”

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt’s (r) anti-mask public school complaint email address: illegalmandates@ago.mo.gov

This afternoon we received a response from the office of Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt (r) complying with our December 9th RSMo § 610 “Missouri Sunshine Law” request for the contents of the illegalmandates@ago.mo.gov email address set up by the Attorney General to solicit complaints about mask wearing in Missouri public schools.

That’s over 8,000 pages in four files. It’ll take a while to go through it all.

A start:

Hi I’m writing you regards to the court order to stop all missouri schools, mask and quarantine mandate. My local school district slater mo public schools, have told me they don’t have to abide by this. How is this the case? They have stated they will consider looking at the court order at the next school board meeting in January. But until then it’s ok for them to tell my children they have to wear their masks even though my children are vaccinated? But yet the teachers that are vaccinated are not required to wear masks. How is this okay? This is double jeopardy. This is taking away my child’s rights. I am their parent, nt the school. I know what’s right for my child not the school. It’s some straight up bs at this school. But yet the next town over immediately put it into effect to do away with all quarantine and mask mandates…your help is greatly appreciated and needed.

Mr. Schmitt the Elsberry school has decided to not follow the ruling, citing they have the authority to do whatever they deem necessary. They decided last night to continue to mask and quarantine what they dem close contact students. They changed the term quarantine to exclude , and feel that you and the court ruling do not apply to them. We would like for the superintendent [….] to receive a letter from your office. Thank you sir for all that you do for the people of our state.

[….]
Subject: Shame

The actions of your administration are beyond deplorable. You are taking away the only few tools we have at keeping our children safe in school, and you are allowing the virus to propogate and overrun hospitals with critically ill and dying humans. Your focus is in the wrong place here. Have some humanity and take the side of the human race.

Sincerely,
[….]

[….]
Subject: A concerned MO parent

Dear Attorney General Schmitt,

It is very concerning to me that you are pursuing action against school districts and health departments for enforcing masking and quarantine guidelines for our children in Missouri. I ama parent and have 2 children in school in Missouri that were just recently eleigible to receive the vaccine. We would like to visit our immunocompromised family safely for the holidays. Which is why I chose to vaccinate my healthy children, so they are less likely to silently spread a disease that is killing our elderly, immunocompromised, and many other healthy adults and childrem.

I do not support your continued efforts to pursue legal action against schools and health departments at the expense of taxpayers. It appears to me you are doing this at the best interest of your political gain and not for the good will of the people and children of Missouri.

In our next election all eligible voters in my family will be supporting someone that is in favor of keeping our communities safe and children in school safely. The individual rights of an American citizen to not wear a mask or choose not to receive the vaccine during high community spread of a virus that has killed more than 700,000 fellow Americans stops when they directly impact community safety.

I pary for the continued safety of our community and the knowledgeable public health departments and their guidelines to keep us all safe.

[….]
Subject: Masks

Dear Eric Schmitt,

As a parent and a Missouri educator I am outraged at the way you are using taxpayer dollars to bully Missouri schools. As if we haven’t been through enough in the last year, we have a state government leader trying to divide our communities and turn our parents against us. Why, as an elected official, sworn to SERVE the people of Missouri would you choose to put us in harms way? The science is clear. Masks help stop the spread of COVID. The numbers in Kansas City and St. Louis County as compared to the rest of the state where mask mandates were in pace prove their effectiveness. We teach some of our most vulnerable population, children. Our teachers havehave put their lives in harms way to do their jobs the last year and a half. The least you can do is support us or get out of our way. Your leadership is the type of dividive rhetoric that has torn this country apart for the last five years.

SHAME on you.
[….]

[….]
Subject: Mask mandates

I am writing to say how sorry I am that the Attorney General is asking that pictures be taken of minors and sent to this email address. Privacy rights are essential.

Also, that we allow the local districts to administer their schools according to their educated view of local needs is a right given to local leaders.

Please stop trying to force parents to violate privacy law and stop trying to instigate hate.

Sincerely,
Someone who will never support this AG.
[….]

Good morning, my son goes to Lafayette High School and their Rockwood School District still requires for all students to waer masks – Lafayette, Eureka, Marquette, etc. I hate to see my son waering a mask to school and this needs to be stopped ASAP. Hopefully there’s something you can do. Thank you!

FYI – East Central College, Union, MO, has a full mask mandate for all students and staff. Along with the normal student population, there are some high school students that attend classes on campus as part of the dual credit/enrollemt programs.

[….]
Subject: Schools going to far

They are requiring kids to wear shirts! There’s no medical reason to wear shirts! Where’s the freedom.???.. What’s next, shoes?

Here is what’s happening in the St. Joseph MO school district. We have mask mandates currently in place in 4 of our schools, with the threat of implementing it in as many as needed if they can ‘manipulate’ the numbers. AND, they are ‘encouraging’ the use of ‘false-positive tests’ to allow you to remain in school……These mandates are crimes against humanity, and we are SO VERY THANKFUL that you are fighting for us! Keep up the great work!!

[….]
Subject: From a teacher’s perspective

Dear Mr. Attorney General,

As a teacher I can not understand why you are pusjing for getting rid of masks during a pandemic. Do you realize that we have a teacher shortage ? Do you realize that we can not get substitute teachers right Now when teachers get ill ? How do you expect us to teach these children when we are ill ?

I would also loke to add that there has been 2 teachers in the past 3 weeks who were vaccinated who have gotten covid. One of which is currently in the hospital intubated bcause they are so sick. So tell that taecher’s family that we should have all 2000 students no longer wear masks in my building when we are getting sick because they just don’t wear them properly.

Please thik of the GREATER good of your constituents and not the base that you hope will elect you next year.

You do not have my vote and many other teachers who you’ll be putting at risk will not vote for you.

Sincerely,
[….]

[….]
Subject: STOP

Please stop this!!!! School boards are elected to make decisions locally! Let them do their jobs. Republicans are the party of local control. Please leave it to them.
[….]

[….]
Subject: Health dept mandate

Hello
I’m writing to complain of my local health department, specifically [….] mandating my child quarantine as she is a close contact. I did discuss the letter that was sent to health departments this Tuesday, however; she stated that I was misreading it and that a student still has to quarantine at home if it was a close contact in the household. ‘She will and must enforce this quarantine.’ I have not had any conversations with the school about it and have continued to send my child to school due to the recent order. I am very frustrated with the authority she believes she has.

Thank you
[….]

[….]
Subject: Schools

AG Schmitt,

Perhaps before you ask adult men to take pictures of people’s under 18 daughters and email them to you, your office should fully disclose the search history on your personal internet browser? This should include all of your ‘incognito’ earches.

Please link a PDF of your search history in your reply to this email.

Sincerely,
[….]

I do believe that qualifies as a formal RSMo § 610 “Missouri Sunshine Law” request.

[….]
Subject: School report

You had my vote until you’ve chosen this poor behavior of risking my grandchildrens health over a silly mask!
While you’ve stated that you’ve had over a thousand emails supporting your ruling of removing the mask, why don’t you try a Mojority Vote? Bet you’ll find more parents that love their children so much that they want them protected
Majority Rules…more want kids protected that a silly risk you’re pushing
[….]

[….]
Subject: Masking

My child WILL be wearing a mask.

If anyone makes him feel bad for doing so or takes his picture for you, you will be hearing from our attorney.

You are disgraceful.

[….]
Subject: There are real problems in the world

My fourth and six grader are fine wearing masks, because they understand the importance of living in community, we’ve seen death and loss from Covid, and they are not selfish whiners.

The Waynesville School District is refusing to follow this order. My children were forced to put a mask on and were told this was ‘a rumor’. Please inform them that they must follow this order!

[….]
Subject: Schools

Go fuck yourself Schmitt.

[….]
Subject: Mask Mandates

Office of AG,

As a parent of 3 small children I find the ruling and the actions of the AG this month to be extremely disturbing. I am literally shaking with fury as I read the news. The government has no right to abdicate its responsibility to protect the health of its residents, especially schoolchildren, by ignoring its own research and eliminating mask mandates. The most fundamental purpose of society is the protection of public health, without which basic liberty is impossible, ever since the first villagers agreed to not urinate in the water supply. Missouri zealously protects the right of an adult to carry a gun into a restaurant, but not the right of a child to semll or taste their own birthday cake. Perhaps I am being selfish, given all the cruelty in the world, but nothing has scared me more than Missouri’s ignorant and cruel governance in the face of a pandemic that has killed more Americans than every war in history, and hospitalized millions more. This tyrannical anti-mask crusade benefits nobody but the scammers and con artists.
[…]

My son is a kindergartener at Woodward school in south St. Louis. They continue to enforce the mask mandate despite opposition. The address is 725 Bellerive Blvd, St Louis MO

Jefferson Community College in Hillsboro, MO is still mandating masks for everyone indoors. Please have them cease and desist immediately.

Thank you for working so hard to help the citizens of our great state.

[….]
Subject: Mask mandates

Please follow the science. Mask mandates work. Wearing a mask is the simplest, most effective way to stop COVID-19.
Also, please stop using your time in office making headlines to further your run for the Senate.

Subject: Concerned Parent-Francis Howell
[….]

Considering filing a class action suit against Francis Howell school district related to obstruction of justice concerning unconsitutional mask mandates,

School is blatantly disregarding Attorney General statements based upon ‘advice of their legal counsel.’

School WILL NOT provide the name of their legal counsel. Who is their Wizard of Oz?

John Weldon Elementary under Francis Howell School District.

Being public school and the fact that I am a tax payer in this district, I feel as though the school MUST inform parents of their legal counsel.

Once confirmed, I plan to file a legal complaint with the Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel in relation to school districts lawyers professional misconduct.

No lawyer in State of MO should be able to castrate the Attorney General.

I now have a solid front to sue the State of Missouri directly, citing the AG, school district, and any other clown violating the constitution. This infighting is called liability.

Lawyer for the school district should be disbarred and fined millions of dollars in order to compensate these victimized parents and their children.

My [….] is the Republican House Rep [….] I feel ashamed he has not put up a stronger fight.

I do not want my last name publicized.
nor published, authorities are playing dirty, these people will target my child.

Tired of being threatened with arrest over speaking up to politicians, now we must take a new route.

Lost my job at [….] after City threatened my freedom over mask mandates, moved to [….] where we find same illegal governance now attacking my children via illegal mask mandates.

We are tired of Uncle Sammy molesting and abusing our family, what can the AG do today to rectify this complaint?

Had enough of trans and homo agenda being forced onto young children at these local schools, now illegal mask mandates, what I fear next is physical molestation under federal instruction.

[….]

(Please don’t have the police harass and follow me around because of this email)

That’s a lot to unpack.

[….]
Subject: Masks

Masks work to prevent the spread. Mandates work. Kids enter school with required vaccinations. where is your humanity?
[….]

[….]
Subject: Mask mandate

Hi, I am emailing about parkway schools. we have a mask mandate at parkway school district in chesterfield Missouri and I am tired of it we should be able to choose for our self’s also most people at school have there mask under there nose which is like not wearing it and even teachers do to. This is a free country and we should be able to decide whether to wear a mask or not in public school. Not to mention the cases in parkway are really low so obviously it shouldn’t be a problem and coronavirus won’t go away we have to just adapt to live with it like flue. I urge you to do everything in your power to get rid of the mask mandate in parkway schools!
[….]

The irony that an email submitted to the Missouri Attorney General’s Office with a boilerplate message tag is subject to public disclosure as a public record under RSMo § 610 probably escapes the author.

Dear Attorney General,

Our children attend CPS in Columbia MO. We would like to see masks mandates within the school system lifted as well as quarantining. It has been brought to our attention that the school board is ‘digging in their heels’ as one staff member replied to me.

The board is putting CPS staff members as well as the school district in a bad position.
All that appears to be affected within the district we see is state funding, student & staff attendance, health (physical & mental) concerns as well as constitutional rights violated.
Please help our district!

Sincerely,
[….]

There are over 8000 pages. This disheartening display of arrogance, willful ignorance, stupidity, entitlement, narcissism, insanity, and sarcasm is breathtaking in its volume.

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt’s (r) anti-mask public school complaint email address: illegalmandates@ago.mo.gov

We finally received a response this afternoon from the office of Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt (r) complying with our December 9th RSMo § 610 “Missouri Sunshine Law” request for the contents of the illegalmandates@ago.mo.gov email address set up by the Attorney General to solicit complaints about mask wearing in Missouri public schools.

That’s over 8,000 pages in four files.

It’ll take a while to go through it all.

In a quick reading through the start of the first file of email responses sent to illegalmandates@ago.mo.gov there is a very interesting mix.

Self-identified parents and school district employees seem to delight in turning in their schools and school districts. We never get out of junior high school.

There were several emails with a request to not reveal their identity because they feared some form of retaliation and/or the discontinuation of their at-will employment. Seriously. RSMo § 610 doesn’t allow for that. Guess what? All of that information is contained in the document. Pro tip: public business is public, with limited exceptions.

There were emails chastising Eric Schmitt (r) for wasting public money on this campaign publicity stunt.

There were several response from adult/porn sites confirming the sign-up of the illegalmandates@ago.mo.gov email address. Apparently some residents of Missouri have knowledge of these sorts of things.

There were parents complaining about mandatory masks and other COVID-19 protocols at their child’s parochial school. Think about that for just a second.

There will be more, with details, to follow.

Eric Schmitt (r) [2021 file photo].

An eagerness to punish public schools, cluelessness, willful ignorance, and sarcasm from Missourians. Who would have thought that possible?

They asked, so did we.

– Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt’s (r) anti-mask public school complaint email address: illegalmandates@ago.mo.gov

On December 9, 2021 we asked the office of Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt (r) via a RSMo § 610 (Missouri Sunshine Law) request for the submitted contents of the illegalmandates@ago.mo.gov email address set up by the Attorney General to solicit complaints about mask wearing in Missouri public schools.

Our original request:

There was much hilarity in the reponses:

How much is your fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago going to cost?

Are you going to ask Trump about what he said to his three wives after he cheated on them?

Did you have a kiss for Daddy?

Anyone want to take bets if Eric will pin this tweet?

Which Eric?

Not a good place to go looking for your soul.

I think he’s selling his soul.

Uh…

Sold. Selling was long ago.

Why would you even consider going there? You think this is impressive?

Are you at a hardware store because all I see are two colossal tools.

Y’all comparing notes on how to lose lawsuits?

The man that encourages everyone get vaccinated. Am I paying for this?

One way or another.

That’s one way to spend the holidays [….]

This isn’t the flex you think it is.

This picture doesn’t say what he thinks it does.

On the left: A double vaccinated man who knows Trump lost the 2020 election. On the right: A man who knows Trump lost the 2020 election who is double-vaccinated.

This is hilariously sad and so pathetic

Yeah. Because doing nothing is working great.

No one wants to be locked down Eric, period. As for giving folks money, if we had done what other developed countries of the world did for their citizens, (it’s always a crisis w/the GQP, why is that?) this “inflation crisis” wouldn’t be so bad. So pick an outrage would you.

Science holds no emotions

Or political position

Looks like it’s still “We’re worried that too many poor people will live through this.”

For others, the dream of a million American dead seems within reach.

Can’t wait for Republican Missouri Gov Parson and AG Eric Schmitt (running for US Senate) removing covid protections (including school districts) to take down the KC Chiefs riddled with covid in the NFL Playoffs. Only a matter of time…..Western MO voting get the popcorn.
[….]

That’s what B.1.1.529 can do.

Actually the desired outcome is defeat the virus but when political hacks block scientifically proven methods THEY force a situation where lockdown becomes the only method left. Don’t complain about solutions to a problem YOU created.

That’s sarcasm. No one is asking for a shut down. Jist responsibility and caring about others who might not be as fortunate as you with their health. But you’ve proven that doesn’t matter. Immunity compromised people be damned! Says Eric & his crew.

So much “unity.”

10:23 PM · Dec 19, 2021

Too cute. If 806,435 Americans and 15,739 Missourians hadn’t already died in this pandemic.

Some of the responses:

You should give out blankets laced with covid as Christmas gifts. Build that herd immunity. Happy Holidays.

We see what you did there.

Yeah, that is messed up! What’s your plan to help the sick and the dying, both of Covid-19 and other things people need from the healthcare system?

The truth hurts, but it also sets you free. You want freedom to turn down vaccination, then live with the consequences. Unfortunately, the vaccinated have to also live with the consequences of no herd immunity, like crowded hospitals, burned out staff, etc. You’re not pro-life.

There’s been a free vaccine available for months. If you chose not to get it that’s on you

It’s called telling the truth. You should try it sometime.

Honesty. You should try it.

Context much, Eric?

Never.

You misspelled truth

Boy it sure sucks being a disease vector

And your plan is? Do nothing and let paragraph 2 happen. Good jobs Eric.

Do you need a safe space from facts, Eric?

You want a bedtime story, baby?

Facts don’t care about feelings.

Not about unity. It’s about being crystal clear that those being hospitalized, those dying, are primarily the unvaccinated. And as much as we’d love to spare them the pain and grief, as desperate as we are to spare our hospitals the overwhelm, they have to face reality.

You’re not pro life

You guys fucked it up. All this is because of the rhetoric you help spread

It’s in his nature.

You don’t want unity, you want to be fully vaccinated all the while encouraging people to push back on vaccinations and any mitigation efforts to stop Covid…all so you can win a primary. You’re a sad man.

So much unity…. I’m going to sue public schools and start protests for Senate votes… While my kid’s private schools mandate masks… Clown…

The pro hospitalization or death form Covid fool says what.

Like you give a shit about unity…

It’s a fact, not a judgement. You pushed for this. It is their blood you have on your hands.

While you protect yourself with vaccines and masks, and hide your children away in a school with a mask mandate, you fight to keep others without.

Death cult hypocrite is all you are.

The disrespect you have for healthcare workers is astonishing. What a punk.

Has nothing to do with unity clown. Just the facts. Sorry you suck at understanding facts.

Here we are.

Thank you for protecting our freedoms. For those individuals still afraid of the virus, they can continue to mask up, vaccinate, social distance, or whatever other measures they choose fit. For the majority that aren’t afraid, business as usual!

You are aware that covid cases are increasing in Missouri? You are also aware that many Missouri students are not vaccinated? Masks are the way to protect them at school.

Please don’t put people’s health at risk.

He doesn’t care. He has a ladder he wants to climb.

You are simply a despicable human and a disgrace to our state. Hope you’re proud of yourself and your attempt to bully people like your idol Trump. You can’t go away soon enough.

He is. He won’t.

Sigh.

“…ATTENTION PARENTS – Missouri Attorney General asks parents for help in identifying school districts continuing to violate the Cole County order. We encourage parents to submit violations of mask mandates or other public health orders that are null and void under the judgement for further invistigation by the AGO. Email videos, pictures, or any other documentation related to this matter to illegalmandates@ago.mo.gov

Well, almost.

Wearing a mask.

An email submitted to Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt’s (r) public school anti-mask complaint email address – illegalmandates@ago.mo.gov:

Subject: Report
To: […]illegalmandates@ago.mo.gov[…]

Child wearing an illegal face covering. Excuse it was cold .

So much for “Horizontal Orientation”.

This was forwarded to us by the sender. We’ll probably have to wait until at least December 23rd to find out if there are other submissions like this one. We suspect there are quite a few.

“What could possibly go wrong?” – probably not part of the conversation in the Missouri Attorney General’s Office when they dreamed up their anti-mask email “complaint” gimmick.
