It’s in their nature.

This morning:

Rep. Jason Smith @RepJasonSmith
The Durham report confirms what most Americans knew all along: the Trump-Russia investigation was nothing more than a political witch hunt.
9:30 AM · May 16, 2023

And he continued:

Rep. Jason Smith @RepJasonSmith
Every American should be outraged that leaders at the FBI and DOJ – two incredibly powerful agencies – abused their authority by using the federal government as a weapon to try and take down a political opponent.
9:30 AM · May 16, 2023

“Россия” (Russia) – a variant of the Russian presidential flag.

But wait, there’s more:

Rep. Jason Smith @RepJasonSmith
While this report debunks yet another false narrative pushed by the Left and liberal media, the House will conduct vigorous oversight and do everything within its power to ensure this never happens again.
9:30 AM · May 16, 2023

Sure, Karen.

Jason Smith (r) [2022 file photo].

Some of the responses to Jason Smith (r):

Spin

Dude, did you read it?

Have you actually read anything about it, or are you just listening to Fox-not-news? Because whatever they are telling folks is a big lie, and the Durham Report shows what a waste of tax payer funds it was for 4 years! Read some real facts, & stop spreading Trumpian lies.
[….]

“The FBI investigation proves conclusively that up is above your heads.”

Republicans: “We now have proof that up has been down all along, and that this administration has been lying to you!”

Durham failed miserably.
John Durham’s investigation lasted 3 1/2 years and cost taxpayers about $3.8 million.
If what Republican radicals are saying is true, why has he only been able to get one conviction of a low-level FBI lawyer who got probation?

Please quit lying to your constituents. It was worth investigating, he’s had significant cash investment from the Russians and tried to have the Ukraine surrender and falsify info about the Bidens. Be accountable.

John Durham is 0 for 2 in prosecutions and he delivered a big, fat, 300 page DUD in the form of an op-ed.

Where are the charges?

Bad combover. Check. Too long red tie. Check. Orange spray tan. Check. Tiny hands. Check. Cluelessness. Check…

This reaffirms what we already believed to be true. DOJ and FBI weaponized their powers to politically attack President Trump.

When are those involved going to be held accountable?
[….]

Sure, Mark (r).

Just a few of the comments:

That’s not even close to what the article says. Did you read it?

This was a nothing burger with zero charges. Quit the lying

Sir, thank you so much for keeping us abreast on the news of the day. Please inform us on your stand on this issue. The selling of pardons. It’s on tape. It’s verifiable. No wriggle room. The Presidency for sale. What is your stand?

Nothing to see here, move along.

You hearing about the court cases involving Rudy Giuliani? Sounds like he is having a lot of tax issues being uncovered in his emails.

Nothing to see here, move along.

This is your party. When do you take the stage with this one? You can’t stop at MTG

Mueller, Hillary Clinton, and the FBI are fully EXONERATED in the Durham investigation: NO CHARGES brought for the opening of the Russia investigation.

NO OBSTRUCTION!

The modern left attacks the Bible at the same time it attacks traditional masculinity. But we need the Bible to understand what manhood and womanhood mean. It remains the bedrock of our culture, and the West
[….]
7:49 PM · May 14, 2023

Which bible? Which “tradition”?

Some of the responses:

I am a Christian, but I do not need the Bible to define me. Your version of manhood or womanhood do not work for me. I am American, and while I choose Christianity for me, everyone here is free to choose their own faith, or no faith. I believe in separation of church and state.

You cannot force people other religions to live by the Bible. Heck most Republicans do not live by the Bible. Take Donald Trump for example. He’s a hypocrite. You are a hypocrite. Your behavior during the insurrection was not something Jesus would do. Somehow I don’t see him rising his fist.

bruh, u super creepy

The left attacks you not respecting separation of church and state, Mr. “Manhood.” That includes Christians.
[….]

No the left doesn’t. It’s just nobody wants your interpretation of the Bible, masculinity or femininity Josh. Because it’s clear you struggle with defining what all 3 of those terms mean.

the founding fathers warned us about theocratic tyranny……….. it’s here

The modern right is actually centuries old and walks around with a pitchfork in one handle, a Bible in the other by the glow of candlelight.

Nope, we just attack hypocrites whoo use the Bible as a weapon.

Josh .. what’s with you and the masculinity thing? You seem a bit obsessed with the whole thing.

a book of mostly fiction is not a guideline for any country

Here’s a tip about the Bible, Josh, all those parts that begin “the wicked do this” are not instructions.

No, it’s not.

Please stop with the faux Christian charade

You can do whatever your Bible tells you to do, but you have no right to dictate how the rest of us live in a free country.

No, the left aren’t a bunch of fake Christians using the Bible as a prop.

No it doesn’t

Says who?

separation of church and state. We don’t all care about your bible.

Meanwhile, polls show many Americans are becoming more Secular.

So a book written when people didn’t know why the sun came up in the east and set in the west is where he goes for wisdom.

Keep the Bible out of our government, #TraitorJosh.

Notice how some modern ‘Christians’ like Josh Hawley continually spew hateful rhetoric about migrants who are in desperate need of humanitarian aid. And they bear false witness on #FoxLies against fellow Americans that they don’t like.

As a Christian, I can confirm that Jesus NEVER said ANYTHING about masculinity involving men being “aggressive” OR discussing guns……
[….]

Stop shoving your beliefs down our throats!

You must love Handmaid’s Tale for inspiration.

Name someone who attacks the bible. The “modern left” is of the mindset “Live and let live.”
Oh, and also, “MYOFB.” [….]

Clown.

Oh so you’re a fake Christian also. Resign.

I don’t attack the Bible, Josh. I will, however, correct people like you who misuse the Bible as a weapon instead of Good News to God’s people.

Senator Hawley apparently never studied Greek, Roman, Jewish, African, Latin American, Native American, Muslim or ANY other culture, NONE of which are Christian civilizations and ALL of which are the MULTIPLE and diverse “bedrocks” of Western Civilization.

Toxic masculinity is a huge problem in this country.

This is a product of Yale law school. So sad.

If you want laws based on your Bible, tax the church you insurrectionist coward.

Please be quiet. You have nothing, and I do mean NOTHING consequential to say. Just stop.

I’m a Christian woman who rejects the White nationalist interpretation of the Bible. Don’t question or define my womanhood.

Therapy can help with your insecurities.

Your assertion in respect to masculinity, femininity, and the bible is a matter of subjectivity. You have a belief that is only valid for yourself and others of a like minded disposition. You are perfectly free to speak your belief but NOT free to impose it.

MAGA Republicans think that wrapping themselves in Bible quotes will give them a pass. The problem is that quoting the Bible doesn’t coverup the anti-Christian actions that they are trying to force on the majority of Americans.

No one is attacking the Bible, running man, we just want your face out of our laws

When the politician starts preaching they’re lying.

The Bible and the Constitution are not the same thing, Bro.

Keep your religion to yourself. It is NOT the bedrock of everyone’s belief system.

Pander, pander, pander.

The “modern left” has no problem with the Bible. However, it is not, and can not be, the controller document for our government. That is what The Constitution is for. Our country was founded on the principle of separating church and state.

The Bible may be your “bedrock,” Josh. But not everyone views the Bible this way & forcing people to accept & live life based on Christian beliefs is wrong & unconstitutional. It denies the existence and importance of other religions in our country.

Question that needs answering, Mark: You had a job in the news business? Really?

Some of the responses:

Where’s the evidence?

Mark Mark Mark …. you are such a liar

It’s not ‘FACT’ unless there is documentation. Present it in the proper forum, rather than tweeting about it repeatedly.
[….]

You have no evidence (facts) to support your claims of some illegality. I am interested in how you would assess the billions Jared got from the Saudis.

You’re joking, right? You’re really talking about your former guy, right? Thought so.

Bad combover. Check. Too long red tie. Check. Orange spray tan. Check. Tiny hands. Check. Cluelessness. Check…

Jesus, I just cant listen to the utter and completely unsubstantiated crap that comes out of your bigoted and extremely biased mouth little man.

ask Jared where he got $2b and why?

Fact: You have no proof. Fact: None of these people hold office. Fact: Joe is not on the list. Fact: There is proof that SCOTUS judges are not reporting millions from benefactors but y’all don’t seem to care. Why is that?

Wacko @RepMarkAlford on the PROWL again Out embarrassing the citizens of the 4th District of Missouri again!!

Again stop saying shit unless you’re going to show proof

Bring it on. Talk is talk. Where’s your evidence?

So private citizens made money from foreign companies, but you have no evidence of any wrongdoing or profiteering by Joe Biden himself?

Did I get that right?

I thought you were going to just campaign as a wack job then legislate being normal. Was that a lie or do you think this is normal news guy?

Mark, this is the highest compliment I can possibly pay you for all you have done for MO4.

You are an uneducated college dropout whose big thing in life is being a hypocrite Christian who spews misinformation that he does not understand and loves to bully and is a Divisive POS

What a doofus you are, Alford. SMH

FACT: @realDonaldTrump’s family took BILLIONS OF DOLLARS from adversaries

@RepMarkAlford doesn’t want to face the question that needs answering: Is our national security jeopardized because of it?

None of @GOP wants to… they’ve made that perfectly clear

They ain’t buying it, Mark.

Deep in the heart of Texas.

Ambassador Alexi de Sadesky

Greg Abbott @GregAbbott_TX
If the public reporting is accurate that Dominion Voting Systems demanded that Tucker Carlson be fired as part of a litigation settlement, then I am happy that Dominion does not operate in Texas, and I don’t think that they should do so in the future. We may disagree with other’s positions, but we should never try to improperly silence views contrary to our own. If Dominion wants to do business with Texas in the future, they should first answer questions about what role, if any, they played in silencing a prominent conservative journalist. The answers to those questions, and other factors, should guide whether we want them to operate here.

[….]
1:37 PM · May 13, 2023

Two of many responses:

BlackRock owns a big piece of Dominion. Bush Family and Rothschild Cabal Family are part owners of BlackRock.

blackrock also largest share holder of Fox. Every state should remove Gov pension Funds from BlackRock and form prvt StatePension fund and call it RedRock. Congress should look at antitrust. All they did with Fox is take money out of right pocket and put in left. Leaving small shareholders in right pocket with sinking boat.
