The Boone County Democratic Central Committee held a picnic fundraiser in Cosmo-Bethel Park yesterday afternoon in Columbia.

Spencer Toder, a candidate for the U.S. Senate, addressed the crowd:

…Because when I talk to them we don’t talk about things in polarized language. We talk about what it means to be an American and what it means to have American values and what Democracy means. And they all believe that we should have a right to vote. They believe that we all deserve access to heath care and good quality education. And they want a fifteen dollar minimum wage….
