D.C. ‘sandwich guy’ not guilty of assaulting a federal agent, jury finds

A federal jury in Washington, D.C., on Thursday found Sean Charles Dunn, a former Justice Department paralegal who became known online as “the sandwich guy,” not guilty of misdemeanor assault after a viral August confrontation with federal agents on a D.C. street.

The verdict closes a surreal yet consequential case that began when Dunn, frustrated by the Trump administration’s militarization of the capital, tossed a wrapped Subway sandwich at a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer. His attorneys called it a “symbolic act of protest.” Prosecutors argued it was a federal crime.

The jury sided with Dunn.

Today:

Congressman Mark Alford
[November 4, 2025]

Your daily reminder that the Left is STILL prioritizing illegal immigrants over your wellbeing and all of America’s.
#SchumerShutdown

The ratio is epic:

Listen little guy, don’t get yourself too bummed out about being ratio’d into dust like a rented mule on Facebook today. You have the big premier coming up soon to look forward to!!!

Your daily dose of lies.

A lie!!

Nice try weather man.

#markisapieceofshit

That’s an insult to shit.🤣

==========

I support you Mark and I do not understand the ignorance of so many.

Read a book, have a chat with someone with a different opinion, watch something other than FoxNews. Then you’ll understand the perspective of others. Ignorance is, afterall, a lack of knowledge. When was the last time you learned something new? So let’s get the ball rolling with these questions. Mary, tell me what you believe Mark is doing right? Who is he helping? Are the people he is helping in need of help? Exactly how is he helping the people of Missouri?

[….] you don’t understand the ignorance of your own party. I doubt there is anything that could sway you. “Smart people don’t like me.” DJT 2025

[….] they lied to you about J6. They lied to you about Epstein.
What on Earth makes you believe they’re suddenly inclined to tell the truth now?

[….] if your support him, you’re certainly ignorant.

[….] you seem like you mean well. But Mark is a lying coward who has yet to hold a town hall since one of his constituents told him to get his head out of Trump’s ass.

The punchline:

[….] you fricken live in Tonganoxie KS!!! You don’t live in his district or our state so keep your opinions to yourself. He sucks.

Heh.

#alfordshutdown #getbacktowork

What are you prioritizing???

I know it’s a radical idea but I fully support tax dollars funding basic human needs like healthcare and food. For EVERYONE. Better that than tax cuts to help billionaires hoard even more wealth.

“Qu’ils mangent de la brioche.”

Extend the ACA subsidies until someone comes up with a better plan. Thanks Chuck for looking out for me.

I’ve got an idea. It is a bit radical. You could start telling the truth.

Make Argentina great again?

Well, with around $40,000,000,000.00, give or take a few pennies.

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

Did you say “Epstein files”?!!

Is that why Trump is refusing to allow children to eat

Doing a good job Wiener, boy, make sure you bring the wieners to the next Town Hall
Meeting.

Trump says no snap til shutdown end. Way to use 40 million people food to negotiate. Definitely America first 😆

“Hey look at me! I’m Congressman Mark Alford posting multiple times a day ridiculous things to prove I’m doing my job”
Go back to Washington DC call your republican bros and hammer out a way to negotiate- that’s your job.

Given that health insurance is on the line — something that Republicans can’t manage — and that Republicans are virtually playing keep-away with it, Democrats can’t be blamed for refusing to be Charlie Brown to Lucy’s position as holder.

Your daily reminder Mark Alford still isn’t doing HIS job.

Congressman Mark Alford when are you going back to work?

Stop lying and go back to work. Negotiate like an adult.

Daily reminder that Alford is a complete idiot. Give it up. This is on you and your party.

Our daily reminder is you aren’t working and still getting paid!!!!

Do you job Mark! Giving out hotdogs is not solving any problems.

Our daily reminder that we have no representation in Washington.

You should be prioritizing making sure our citizens are fed and have heat and lights with the taxes we all pay that goes into those funds. As well as coming up with an affordable and accessible health care solution.

It’s not the left, it’s the spineless GOP that doesn’t do anything about Trump’s lawless actions, I didn’t vote for you last time and won’t vote for any Republican in all future elections

Secretary Duffy posted today that he doesn’t know what the Democrats are asking for. Maybe your office could help him out.

Why do you so blatantly lie??? Have you no shame???

Your daily reminder Republicans need to fund healthcare!

You realize that every time you slam the left, you slam half of the people you represent. Knock it off. Be a good Christian – serve God. Serve others. All others. It’s just not that hard.

Shame on you, dividing this country will never be the answer. We are all Americans and we are stronger as a whole than when divided. But then again you know that.

Congressman, yesterday Trump said he would comply with ruling and fund Snap, but today he said not until the shutdown is over. Whats your comment on this Congressman?

Mark Alford (r) [2025 file photo]

The name calling, gaslighting, and outright lies from this administration are truly shameful. What an embarrassment.

Hey Pinocchio you’ll never be real…

It’s honestly kind of ironic—watching you and your Republican colleagues this year has made it clear to me that there’s no way I could ever support a Republican in office again.

Your daily reminder that the super majority REPUBLICANS are prioritizing tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires over food and healthcare for children.

Your mouth is moving again……….

A little note, the Dems and liberals aren’t “the left”. They’re right of center anywhere else in the world. Trying to call the Dems “the left” is literal propaganda.
The only thing we have in common with them is wanting fascism tf out of our country and we disagree a LOT about what we’d all be willing to do to achieve that goal.

You are an @$$ hole Alford.

Do your job and stop blaming a party NOT in power.

Shut up Mark. Every sane, healthy, kind conservative is disenchanted with you and the entire MAGA cult.

Give it a rest and focus on the current immediate problems…. US hunger, unemployment, healthcare, the diminishing middle class…. End your vacation and do something in DC!!!!

What are you even talking about now??? Illegal immigrants are not eligible for Medicare, full stop. The only way they can possibly benefit is the small amount of Medicare given to hospitals for ER’s to treat people regardless of status. Tell me how Democrats are prioritizing immigrants, please give clear and concise examples.

Just another reminder that you’re full of s–t

Not true. We can read

Mark when was your last honest post?

Stop promoting a divisive agenda. Not the vibe.

7th Congressional District, Eric Burlison, gaslighting, right wingnut, social media, sycophant, Trump shutdown, Trump sycophant, WTF?

Eric Burlison (r) [2025 file photo].

Sunday:

Eric Burlison
November 2 at 6:33 PM

Back home I have heard almost no complaints about the shutdown.
Folks tell me keep it shut down.
They were ecstatic to hear we would use this moment for terminations rather than furloughs.

Today:

Eric Burlison
[November 4, 2025]

Democrats are playing games with the American people and taking federal workers and SNAP recipients hostage.
We were the adults in the room. We sent a clean extension. Open the government.

Some of the ecstatic responses on Sunday:

Have a open town hall and you may hear plenty of complaints.

Who are you talking to “back home”? I’m a constituent and you haven’t asked me!

Host a town hall Eric so we can praise you in person 😏

Well, since you’re doing such a great job and your constituents are so happy, why not celebrate with a town hall?

Folks back home tell me this is one of the dumbest generalizations they’ve ever read.
Folks also tell me you should furlough your account until the shutdown has ended. I’ve heard you would probably get almost no complaints about that. 🙄

Sounds like the perfect time for a town hall — when and where will it be held?

There’s a special kind of arrogance in celebrating a shutdown while collecting a taxpayer-funded paycheck. 🙄

*hides from constituents* “No one is complaining to me!”

Eric doesn’t get out much. Why doesn’t he head to a food pantry and talk with folks?

Um – have you actually talked to any of us because everyone I know is pretty mad about you taking a paid vacation while folks here are worried about being able to feed their kids
That’s on both sides of the aisle

Hold a town hall and find out what we really think about the shutdown and your extended paid vacation from your job.

Other than keeping our heads on a swivel and being well armed, nothing has changed in our area. The Demoncratic Communist Party shut down is just plain stupid. A great demonstration of how Socialist policies can be implemented to roll right into Marxist suffering of the people by controlling their food.

Who are you asking? Get out and visit with people. It hasn’t affected me but I care about those it does. I also care about those who will not be able to afford their health insurance. I care about senior citizens and children who will go hungry. People keep saying that democrats want health care for illegal aliens covered. Fine then say you’ll keep the subsidy for American citizens if that part is dropped. Say it loud and clear. Now the argument is over. That’s not it though is it? That’s a convenient spin but in reality you don’t care about people’s health insurance because it doesn’t affect you. You care about the big business breaks because it lines your pockets as well eventually. It is disgusting.

No, we’re 100% not ok with it and the pandering to the private equity/corporate-welfare you guys seem to be completely dedicated to.

If your response to hearing about working class people losing their jobs through no fault of their own is to be ecstatic, you are a terrible human being.

That’s because (a) you talk to the same “folks” and (b) because those “folks” don’t care much about governance.

Is this a joke?!
Congress is on a paid vacation while millions of Americans are suffering, and you think this is what the people elected you for?! Pink slip. Terminations, sure…for congressmen who can’t do their job: negotiate, compromise, govern.

Stop gaslighting us. Talk to people in the state. Watch the news – all news: conservative and liberal. The shutdown is affecting all of us. It is hurting regular people. Have you ever gone without a paycheck this long? Try stepping across the aisle and making compromises rather than trying to put this LIE out and expecting people to believe and be ok with it. What a joke. So disappointed in ALL our government on both sides.

There is a lot more.

Then, responses from today:

Tell Mike to open up the house and negotiate a bipartisan budget. There is literally no rule that says that can’t happen during the filibuster in the Senate. He can throw shade at Schumer until he’s blue in the face. But ultimately, all he really has to do is open the house. Democrats can give up part of what they want, Republicans can get some wins on some of the Democrats demands. Boom. Problem solved.
You congressmen really need to remember that you work for the entire United States at the end of the day. Not just the people that voted for you.

Fund health insurance subsidies

Another LIE, but that’s all Burlison does.
Calling Republicans, who ran and hid for several months now, “adults” is ludicrous.

No you weren’t the adults in the room. There are no adults running the government. It’s just a bunch of toddlers.

#RepublicanShutdown

If you were the adults, you would have NEVER voted yes on the Horriffic bull 💩 bill which cuts billions from SNAP, Medicaid, and Medicare all so the rich get a tax break. Remember that bill? People may not right now, but wait until that kicks in after the mid terms. Stop gaslighting Americans.

Before the shutdown, you voted to slash SNAP. Now you whine because team Trump can’t cut a deal. You are purposely stripping Americans of their access to health care, despite not having a health care plan of your own.

Do you think we’re stupid? You can’t vote on anything when you’re hiding out here. Go back to DC, do your job or resign. You are easily replaced.

Just yesterday you were saying the shutdown was a good thing. Are you okay?

There’s that.

“…..Folks tell me keep it shut down.
They were ecstatic to hear we would use this moment for terminations rather than furloughs”

“….Democrats are playing games with the American people and taking federal workers and SNAP recipients hostage….”

Which is it? Hostage? Termination? Can’t be both.
