Yesterday:

[November 21, 2023]
Winter is coming…
Under Joe Biden:
Energy prices are up by 39.69 %
Gasoline prices are up by 54.82 %
Electricity prices are up by 24.24 %
Natural gas prices are up by 22.69 %

On November 18, 2023 in Warrensburg, Missouri:

The price was considerably lower yesterday morning.

Some of the responses:

Rule #1 in deciphering political speech….
Not one number they cite is accurate. Not one.

…political speech… “…right wingnut regurgitation…” Fixed it for you.

What is your plan to bring the prices down? Would you support limits on profits, having the Executive branch cap gasoline and natural gas prices and electricity prices? How about just taking over the electric companies and oil companies and natural gas companies? That would work, but it would be true socialism. Oil prices are currently at a record low in the US, and oil production is rising, but you are complaining about energy prices, and blaming them on the government. We are a capitalist society, In a capitalist society when production goes up, prices should go down, The government does not control prices, the big energy companies do. Blame President Biden if you wish, but realize that you are barking up the wrong tree, unless it is more important to you to demean our government than to help the workers and citizens. [….]

Under Joe Biden – the weather got really hot a few months ago…but now it’s not as hot as it was…DAMN IT JOE! Under Joe Biden – the Oakland A’s decided to move to Las Vegas…DAMN IT JOE!!

Joe Biden (D) [2020 file photo].

Heh.

shhhh… he prefers his followers to be stupid and believe the s*** he posts

They are and they do.

So u think the corrupt Elites & corrupt Democrats will pull off another rigged election??? Clearly Biden did not get 81 million votes when even his accounts like Twitter showed him w only 20 million something floolowees while Trump had 70 million something followers until Twitter booted his account, probably why, to hide this clear evidence.

We rest our case.

Keep making shit up.
We will remember your loyalty to the wannabe dictator when you’re up in 2028.

And you are a li[a]r, a fear monger and a bag of cat piss that can’t back up a single thing he posts with facts.

Well, okay.

That’s what everyone says, but they never really mean it

The slow walk by Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft (r) and Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey (r) has ended.

Missouri Supreme Court declines to consider appeal from Sec. of State Jay Ashcroft
By Joe McLean (KCTV5)
Published: Nov. 20, 2023 at 6:59 PM CST|Updated: 53 minutes ago
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Missouri Supreme Court declined to take up an appeal from Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft.

He was challenging an appeals court decision that ruled his ballot language for an abortion initiative was too biased and argumentative.

This means that the appeals court decision will stand — keeping the court-approved ballot language.

The court also declined to take up the case challenging the fiscal note summary, meaning the ballot will reflect the Auditor’s summary, not Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey’s “$12.5 billion” figure.

It also means that abortion rights activists will soon be able to begin collecting more than 171,000 signatures by May 6 in order to secure ballot access.

Remember next November.

Elad Gross For Missouri
[November 20, 2023]
Jay Ashcroft and Andrew Bailey appealed to Missouri’s Supreme Court in their attempt to issue biased language for the initiative petition to overturn our extreme abortion ban.
The Supreme Court just rejected their appeal.
Their attempts to run out the clock and stop Missourians from accessing the ballot has ended.

4th Congressional District, cluelessness, former newsreader, Mark Alford, missouri, right wingnut, social media

The U.S. House of Representatives is not in session.

Today, from Mark Alford (r):

Congressman Mark Alford
[November 20, 2023]
The Senate is failing to do its job.
It has not passed emergency aid for Israel.
It has not taken up the individual appropriation bills the House has passed.
Why won’t the Senate move forward with the business of the American people and stand with Israel?
[….]

Some of the responses:

No one to blame for stalls but the House Republicans.
Ridiculous how you blame everyone but the the obvious guilty.
Way to distract from House mess.

Now tell us why, Mark.
The Israel bill doesn’t include funding for Ukraine. It also cuts funding to the IRS. You knew the bill would face opposition when it got to the Senate.
The individual appropriations bills all have contentious points in them. You knew the bills would face opposition when they got to the Senate.
Enough with the finger-pointing, Mark. Compromise. Find common ground. THAT’s your job.

That’s pretty hilarious coming from a Republican member of the House. If you are going to point fingers, start with yourself.

And you are on TV telling people that someone is not doing there job.

How long did it take House Republicans to even elect a new speaker?

Heh.

Congress must close the border impeach the Head of DHS and drastically cut spending ASAP. Period!

yeah, boy that border lol! [….]

Wait, wasn’t Mexico supposed to pay for a wall?

“The Senate is failing to do its job.” – Mark Alford In other news, the U.S. House is not in session for 12 days for the Thanksgiving Holiday. No irony there.

Well, 11 days, but we get your point.

Congressman Mark Alford actually it is on you and your House wackos! You know the right wing House wackos that you’re a member of? The Bill that you passed was crappy! You cut IRS funding for what? That reduces the chances that tax dodgers get caught and the last time I looked, we have less revenue coming in to the government! Why don’t you work with Johnson and get a comprehensive Bill passed, rather than the piecemeal garbage legislation that you tout? Oh, and is the humanitarian assistance that was left out a bad thing? You call yourself a Christian, but you’re obviously NOT!

On right wingnut gaslighting:

Piper For Missouri
[November 18, 2023]
MAGA folks released the clips that they want the public to see from January 6, but here’s the problem: we watched it live.
Most of us have also read 1984…

Uh, they may have read 1984, they just don’t understand it.

Some of the responses:

I watched it from the very start of opening remarks until it was certified in the wee hours of January 7th.
One of the most shameful days in US history. And the people that supported that, should be shamed as well.

Unfortunately this revision of history effort is effective: see also propaganda from the Nazi and Cold War eras.
We need to avoid any amplifying of their videos – even to debunk them. Best to counter their mistruths with the truth whenever possible.

The right has gone all in for fascism and authoritarianism because they believe they are infallible…..what a farce.

People have smart televisions, Roku dongles and other ways to watch video.
Anyone who watched the events of that day saw exactly what happened. Try as they might, the Right can’t hide that truth!

I often wonder if the folks referring to the present political situations as “Orwellian” have ever read anything by Orwell. “1984” isn’t the only terrifying book by Orwell. “Animal Farm” shook the 11 yo me when I read it. I see the elements in that book on so many levels in today’s world.

I wish these turds would leave office.

They are delusional traitors. Trying to claim it was no big deal. It was treason.

No amount of evidence will ever persuade an idiot. Mark Twain

OK, next they should locate the “ghost buses” full of FBI operatives dressed in MAGA gear and take them on a nationwide road tour. ~ How do they not realize how utterly ridiculous they are looking? The lack of self awareness is astounding!

“…The lack of self awareness is astounding!” Right wingnuts consider that a feature, not a bug,

“Do what you can to show you care about others, and you will make our world a better place.” – Rosalynn Carter

Rosalyn Carter [1993 – Carter Center]

Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter Passes Away at Age 96

ATLANTA (Nov. 19, 2023) — Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, a passionate champion of mental health, caregiving, and women’s rights, passed away Sunday, Nov. 19, at 2:10 p.m. at her home in Plains, Georgia, at the age of 96. She died peacefully, with family by her side.

Mrs. Carter was married for 77 years to Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the United States and the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize recipient, who is now 99 years old.

“Rosalynn was my equal partner in everything I ever accomplished,” President Carter said. “She gave me wise guidance and encouragement when I needed it. As long as Rosalynn was in the world, I always knew somebody loved and supported me.”

She is survived by her children — Jack, Chip, Jeff, and Amy — and 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A grandson died in 2015.

“Besides being a loving mother and extraordinary First Lady, my mother was a great humanitarian in her own right,” said Chip Carter. “Her life of service and compassion was an example for all Americans. She will be sorely missed not only by our family but by the many people who have better mental health care and access to resources for caregiving today.”

The schedule of memorial events and funeral ceremonies will be distributed as soon as possible to media and posted [….]
