Mark Alford (r) [2024 file photo].

Yesterday:

Rep. Mark Alford @RepMarkAlford

This isn’t about politics. It’s about keeping America safe and making sure our fuel keeps flowing. Taking action now against a dangerous regime may cost a little today, but it protects every American tomorrow.

Thanks for nothing, Mark.

Some of the responses via another social media site:

The question you should be asking is what planning took place to protect the Staits of Hormuz before the bombing began. Have you asked? If no, why didn’t you?

yeah, starting a war always seems like a good path to peace in the world.

Come on Markie, you did it, OWN IT!!

What flavor Kool-Aid is your favorite?

Spinning. People are struggling and your rich @$$ is telling us it’s not bad suck it up. When you’re out of a job suck it up!

The dow……., down, down, and gas up up up, I hope I don’t go broke. I’m not a millionaire. Praying for a stable economy. Praying for peace before man destroys the whole world.

So it’s about keeping oil flowing?

Are you getting dizzy from all that spinning, Mark?

Pushing corporate profits to protect Americans sometime in the future… 🤡

Admitting its about oil, yay atleast we’re being honest now.

Why do we keep hearing that we have to suffer now to be ok later? How about stop making shit worse?

And what about the constitution….care at all about that?

It’s a good thing those goal posts are movable …

Heh.

So now Republicans are 𝘧𝘰𝘳 high gas prices. Got it. 🤣

Warmonger.

Hurt a little now??? Kind of like all the job losses we are having. When do we start winning?

Gaslighting at its finest!!

Yes we are taking away your benefits and giving tax breaks to the rich, but look on the bright side, we are also going to raise the cost of living.

Yep.

Now all of a sudden high gas prices are not a problem

Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

High gas prices are good for us now?

Nonsense. Your party tossed a working agreement to start this conflict.

So… campaign promises are now opposite of what you plan to do and are a good thing? lol. Drink up the kool aid.

Drink up the artificially flavored and orange-colored [insert name brand here] sugar water drink.

I thought the fuel was flowing? You guys made it stop flowing…

Is that what you want to call it?

Which “dangerous regime” are you referring to, the one in Tehran or Washington DC?

I thought this wasn’t about oil?

Do you pay for your own gas?

Nice spin! You support billions for a foreign war but are fine with Americans have a 30,000 dollar healthcare deductible?

That’s a feature, not a bug. It’s not a problem if you’re in the top 1%.

“Our fuel”? Last I saw it was in the ground of another sovereign nation. What makes it “ours”?

So now it’s not about politics because prices are skyrocketing. Let’s remind Little Marky he has used gas prices to push his politics ever since he entered them. You see Little Marky is a hypocrite and he knows his MAGA loyalists are so stupid they believe every word he utters. Vote him out!

You realize that gas went up when we went to war right…

Glad Harris didn’t get elected…We might be at war with rising gas prices and higher unemployment

So they said.

Did you add the $1 billion a day our military is spending?
But I guess health care was too expensive

The dangerous regime is ours

Alford over hear asking people to ignore whats going on. Gas prices are nearing numbers that resemble Mark’s height. Unemployment is up. Non-farm payrolls are down. Previous employment numbers revised down. That 50,000 market Noem mentioned is now hanging on to 47,000. Everything this administration touches breaks, including Mark Alford’s dignity.

Trumpflation

Sheep. You, relegate your constituents to sheep. Just say what ever the wind blows and they’ll eat it up. Iran was not a threat to America. Not enough to start a fcking war that majority of America doesn’t want. But go ahead and gaslight your people.

That’s what you said about tariffs too.
Jobs report says 92,000 jobs lost last month. How many more months is all this short term pain going to last?

Years. This has been another edition of Short Answers to Simple Questions.

During the state of the Union less than a month ago Trump said that the Iranian nuclear program was obliterated. Iran may have had bad leaders, but they were not a threat to the US. This war, these oil prices are 1000% political. And I worry far less what this will cost in oil and dollar, and I worry far more what this will cost in human blood and lives.

This is the concept of a plan that we’ve been waiting for?

Oh, so you’re all admitting it’s a war now.

North Korea is a dangerous regime. Are we going to hit them next?

Apparently Cuba is next.

No, the attack on Iran did literally nothing for the safety of people in the US.

The dangerous regime? You mean the one in the white house? 🤔

There are tons of dangerous regimes. You’re giving Trump a blank check to go after them all and bankrupt our country…even after he said no wars?

It’s about Trump trying to create an emergency to cancel midterms

Iran has been two weeks from a nuke for 30 years. If you believe this narrative, you’re proof of a failed education

They had a concept of a plan.

Lol we all watched the lies with the “war on terror” we know your all full of shit

Some people are too stupid to know when to just STFU.

It may cost a little but the billionaires will be fine.

How does higher gas prices keep me safe?

Aw yes attacking Iran because he failed to negotiate a nuclear deal that was already in place, the only issue with said deal was it didn’t have his name on it.

That was what Trump said about tariffs, it will hurt now but will be worth it in the long run. How is that going for grocery prices?

If you are serious about protecting this country than you need to break the stranglehold that Big Oil has on this country. They can raise their price whenever they feel like it and that raises the price for just about everything we use on a daily basis. Protect this country by breaking their hold over us by investing in solar and wind power like most of the other countries in the world are doing. One of the reasons we are in this war, is the fact that Big Oil is scared they are being run out of their monopoly and this war will allow them to make billions before the rest of the world stops using oil and gasoline. SOme countries have already made solar and wind power their biggest power suppliers and if we were smart we would have done so to, but instead we elected a man hell bent to take us backwards 100 years to using coal power again and who has done his best to stop solar and wind power in this country to pay back his Big Oil buddies. How much money do YOU get from Big Oil?

Did they have yellow cake uranium again?

The united states only gets about 10% of its oil from the middle east. We have enough oil right here to be self sufficient.
So it’s the middleman, within the united states that is causing these prices to go up.
Sounds rather fraudulent. Why aren’t you looking into that?

It costs a lot more than a ‘little.’ A billion a day. And if you think this isn’t going to turn into a quagmire I got some Trump crypto coin to sell you

It’s about lining the pockets of the mega rich.

Congressman Mark Alford puts out another reason for this war, and it is a war. Now the war is to keep the oil flowing

They told us last summer they had obliterated Iran’s nuclear capability. Surely they weren’t lying to us.

They were. This has been another edition of Short Answers to Simple Questions.

Make sure you spew that at your next town hall 🥴

Heh.

I hope your people understand how stupid you are

They don’t.

Republicans, including this Mark Alford liar, told us that if we voted for Democrats then America would wind up in a war with Iran.

Yea when inflation is at a high, affordability is out of reach and Americans struggle, we needed a new war costing a billion dollars a day and rising gas prices to make things easier. You chumps really are just in it to make life worse for everyone except the rich.

The bottom line is the GOP has just used aggression against Iran, as well as Minneapolis, now Kansas and Missouri without justification that ultimately costs Missourians. But please, rationalize away.

That was the point of USAID, but this administration thought it was a waste of money… 🙄

You Sir are an idiot, simple as that.

Keep convincing yourself of that. This certainly doesn’t affect your pocket book like it does the millions of Americans already struggling to put food on the table and paying bills. This president and his administration along with the majority of the Republican Party have done NOTHING to help Americans. What’s your excuse now Congressman Mark Alford

Not believing any of your bull 💩

Are you as dumb as you think we are?

Dude you bragged only a few weeks ago about the price of gas.
Nice try.
Actually, not really.

Weird way of saying we’re getting fucked by MAGA

Those 92,000 that lost their jobs last month care about the gas prices

This is a needless, endless war on a whim. We have enough problems with no solutions from you and now this just adds to it. No one wants this.

You’re such a clown 🤡
