“….If you tie a judicial warrant to what ICE is doing, it will never happen….”

Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Today:

Rep. Mark Alford: “If you tie a judicial warrant to what ICE is doing, it will never happen”
[….]

1:40 PM · Feb 16, 2026

Some of the responses:

Representative Alford has become an accessory after the fact.

That darn pesky Constitution. It’s almost like it was designed and amended to protect rights and freedoms.

This is like OpenAI saying they can’t make money if they can’t steal.

Another “constitutional conservative” who stopped reading after the Second Amendment

And yet somehow the Obama and Biden administrations were able to make it work. 🤔

Literally making the point he’s missing. That’s pretty talented.

It still staggers me that an American legislator — you know, one of the dudes and dudettes who take the oath to protect and defend the Constitution — just say this sort of heresy on air. ICE’s mission is incompatible with the Constitution. Huh, what’s the “Supreme law of the land “?

Somebody needs to give this guy a copy of the Constitution, with the 4th amendment highlighted.

Hey Alford! Don’t like the need for judicially-authorized warrants based on probable cause for searches & seizures? Take it up with the drafters of the 4th Amendment. Or try to repeal it & see where THAT gets you. What a f’ing moron. Seriously, this comment is disqualifying.

Exhibit #5,464,356, your Honor. In the People vs. The Fascist Regime

So, in plain English, your goal is to break the law.

He is SO CLOSE to figuring this out.

If you tie the Constitution to it, it will be unconstitutional

They seem utterly incapable of grasping the implications of what they’re saying.

“Yeah, that old Bill of Rights just keeps getting in the way of our authoritarianism.”

Then it shouldn’t happen.

This is only complicated because people like this dickbag insist on being fascist fucks.

Maybe Mark Alford should tell us how he’d feel if federal officers kicked down his front door on their own volition just because someone said he was harboring in his house anyone the govt. wanted…even citizens who committed crimes, He disagrees with the 4th amendment? (freedom from illegal searches)

“allegations of abuse of these warrants”? We watched them kick in the door of an elderly man and drag him out in his underwear. They didn’t even have a warrant. These passive voiced questions are bs.

How he qualified, “lied about, an American citizen…”
“Different quarterback”? So it is a game

Once they’ve accustomed us to “no judicial warrants cuz they’s furriners,” it’ll be easier for them to get us to accept no judicial warrants cuz they’s, oh, whatever group is out of favor today, furrin or not.

They’ve talked themselves into this. Now their focus is talking US into it.

One might argue that it should not be happening if it cannot happen within the rule of law.

If it cannot comply with the rule of law, it is an illegal action.

The ‘duh’ is silent by heavily implied.

It’s literally in the fucking constitution.

That means it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

This isn’t difficult to understand, even for this lil guy.

“It” here means: breaking the law and violating the constitution, so yeah…. Sounds good.

The Founders are rolling over in their graves.

So he’s saying their cases are such BS they couldn’t meet the requirements to get a real warrant? And instead of requiring them to meet the minimal Constitutional standard, he just wants to let them have at it, Constitution be damned? Huh.

He isn’t making the statement that he thinks he is.

How very fascist.

“If we can’t do illegal shit we won’t be able to do the shit we’re doing” is a really weird defense.

So judicial warrants (which have been required for a long time and I’m fairly certain follow the laws of the Constitution) are too much trouble to get???

WTF???

In the clip, Alford says that no ICE agents lied about a shooting involving an American citizen, just about a Venezuelan. That is completely false as ICE agents lied about the situation around the shooting of American citizen Marimar Martinez.
[….]

When your best argument is “judges wouldn’t allow us to violate people’s rights” and “they reached a (nonexistent) agreement”, you’re losing.

Alford is full of shit

Funny, I don’t recall the Fourth Amendment saying “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated…unless we feel like it.”

That’s pretty the goal when you make something unconstitutional, you ignorant dipstick

Thats how the law works, fuckface.

I’ve heard better arguments from a 4 year old.

You’ll do as you’re told or Tom Homan will eat your cats and dogs

We see what you did there.

It’s amazing how quickly the media has accepted violations of multiple amendments as normal. The entire GOP state media apparatus is pushing this absurdity.

They can be putting immigrants in ovens and the media would still refuse to push back.

Fuck them all. Burn them all to the fucking ground.

Yeah, that’s the point of the fucking constitution! Ever heard of it?

House GOP launches Bad Bunny probe: ‘Worse than the Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction’
by David Edwards
February 10, 2026 9:57AM ET

Rep. Mark Alford (R-MO) revealed that House Republicans are “investigating” Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show….

[….]

“We are still investigating this. There’s a lot of information that has come out about the lyrics,” Alford said. “I saw the halftime show, and we’re switching back and forth with the TPUSA halftime show. They, the lyrics from what we have seen, from Bad Bunny are very disturbing.”

“And if it holds true that the, you know, I don’t speak fluent Spanish, okay?” he continued. “These lyrics, if it is true, what was said on national television, we have a lot of questions for the… entities that broadcast this, and we’ll be talking with Brendan Carr from the FCC about this.”

“But this is, this could be much worse than the Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction. Let’s put it that way.”

Clown.

Some of the comments:

LooooooooooL

These people are clowns.

And they are straight up clowning their constituents.

A bunch of culture war morons.

In other news he also plans to get to the bottom of those Louie Louie lyrics.

Also if you play Bad Bunny backwards you can clearly hear him invoke Satan.

What a bunch of pathetic, butthurt idiots. How about they investigate Kid Rock’s lyrics and his inability to mime?

Congressional governance has devolved into bad theater. Nothing of substance, nothing important. Just political buskers, doing their outrage hustle for corporate donations.

It’s fucking PATHETIC.

Can someone please ask him how much this investigation will cost the tax payers, and what is the legislative purpose? Just a simple reminder that his job is not to produce sound bites.

Does he mean they’re watching it over and over again? Meanwhile Caligula lives in the White House.

They talk like it has to be decoded like the Enigma machine

What do they “suspect” he said? No one they know speaks Spanish?

“Chinga La Migra”

So they are complaining about lyrics that they cannot define but insist cannot be said in English?

These racist Republicans are dumb as rocks.

Well we certainly don’t want to be worse than the “Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction”. We especially don’t want Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction in Spanish

Who are these people?

“…You’ve got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know… morons.”

This is what the folks in Congress do with the small amount of time they spend doing their job. I’m fairly certain constituents would prefer they work on more pressing matters, such as healthcare, job creation, immigration reform, affordable housing, almost anything else but this.

[….] watching these four confused morons try to fabricate potentially nefarious actions committed, simply because they didn’t understand the language being spoken is low key hilarious.

Of course he is from Missouri…..

Just when we thought things couldn’t get dumber…

WTF are they gonna “investigate”? How severe their poor feefees were hurt.

Didn’t watch it. Didn’t understand it. I hope he can somehow overcome his horror at what happened. Perhaps therapy or a long walk in the woods.

There’s no fixing this level of stupid.🤡

It’s too bad there’s no way to ever figure out what someone said in Spanish.

We didn’t understand them but we are really offended by the lyrics.

Oh for the love of God. They’re RIDICULOUS

“El pueblo no aguanta má’ injusticia’
Se cansó de tus mentira’ y de que manipulen las noticia'”
– B.Bunny

Another “I didn’t watch it but I hear it was a message of unity so I will spend taxpayer money to discredit it.”

Is this your guy Alford?

Young ladies, young ladies
I like ’em underage, see
Some say that’s statutory
But I say it’s mandatory

– Kid Rock lyrics to Cool, Daddy Cool

The unabashed racism truly is something to behold

These are extremely unserious people who are deeply disturbed.
Also remember that every accusation from these folks is either a projection or a confession.
I wonder what Mr. Alford does in his spare time?

As Bugs Bunny says “What a maroon”.

Great job by the National Guard in Los Angeles after two days of violence, clashes and unrest. We have an incompetent Governor (Newscum) and Mayor (Bass) who were, as usual (just look at how they handled the fires, and now their VERY SLOW PERMITTING disaster. Federal permitting is complete!), unable to to handle the task. These Radical Left protests, by instigators and often paid troublemakers, will NOT BE TOLERATED. Gaslighting.

Mark Alford (r) [2023 file photo].

Today:

Mark Alford
[April 16, 2025]
The Real ID Act was passed way back in 2005, 20 years ago!!!! It’s about time everyone stop dragging their feet. Quit scrolling through social media, quit complaining, get your info together, and get down to the DMV to get your Real ID.

“The Real ID Act was passed way back in 2005, 20 years ago!!!!….”

Not in Missouri, you ahistorical dumbass.

HB 361 (2009)

“….The department of revenue shall not amend procedures for applying for a driver’s license or identification card in order to comply with the goals or standards of the federal REAL ID Act of 2005, any rules or regulations promulgated under the authority granted in such act….”

From the Journal of the House [pdf], April 16, 2009:

[….]

Well, let’s see, the republicans who voted against REAL ID in Missouri in 2009 included Eric Burlison (r) and Denny Hoskins (r). Those names sound so familiar.

Have you spoken with them about this, Mark?

From the Journal of the Senate [pdf], May 13, 2009:

Journal of the Senate 1804
[….]
On motion of Senator Purgason, HCS for HB 361 was read the 3rd time and passed by the following vote:

NAYS—Senators—None

Absent with leave—Senators—None
Vacancies—None The President declared the bill passed.
[….]

Eric Schmitt (r) was absent in 2009. Fitting.

That was then, this is now, apparently.

Some of the responses to Mark Alford (r):

Republicans in Missouri fought Real ID and, according to these comments, still are. At least acknowledge that it was the Missouri GOP that has caused it to take so long.

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner!

Mark Alford there’s quite a difference between being a man getting a real id vs a woman getting real id. A woman needs to bring more documents to get it and even though it is the right document, will be told it’s not because we were married so long ago and my license looks different than today’s version. Do you know where your marriage license is right now? I bet you don’t. After 30 years of marriage and moving houses a few times, I found mine. Took it in. It said “marriage license” was told not good enough. Had to dig some more found other documents and that somehow sufficed. Think about women who have been divorced. Men who are divorced show up with the same paperwork as a single man, married once man or a man married 20 times. Women have to have documents for every marriage and divorce. And even then that may not be good enough. It took less paperwork to get my passport than to get real id. I never once needed a marriage license to get a passport. I needed less proof of my identity to fly internationally than I do domestically. How is that right?

If you are a woman and have been married more than once be prepared to bring your marriage certificate AND divorce decree for each and every marriage. I was married just once before and didn’t know this. I had to mail off to get those documents from the state we were married and divorced in. It’s harder to get a Real ID than to get a US Passport.

There have been so many deadlines. It should already have been completed with everyone renewing their license every 10 years or 3 years. Apparently it’s the state that has been dragging their feet.

“Apparently it’s the republicans that has been dragging their feet.” Fixed it for you.

When the SAVE Act becomes law, all these folks complaining about Real ID being unconstitutional, too hard to get, or something they don’t trust will be out there screaming their right to vote is being denied.

A feature, not a bug.

Really I was born in the USA what’s wrong with my drivers license? State of Missouri says it’s valid. Why do I gotta pay another $12 to get a star put on it and then wait for four hours at the DMV

Four hours. Obviously an optimist.

I am a citizen. I pay taxes. I have constitutional rights. If I choose not to obtain a REAL ID, a federally imposed credential.
I should not be denied my right to vote. Conditioning my right to representation on participation in a federal identification program transforms a right into a privilege.
That’s unconstitutional.
I do not consent to a biometric surveillance state. HART + federated contractors

You voted for him, probably.

The problem with getting the Real ID for women is obtaining all the paperwork, I already had to show marriage documents when I changed my name on my SS card AND my drivers license for both marriages so why should I need to show it again. They are asking for paperwork that was generated over 40 yrs ago. It’s easy for men to say, “what’s the big deal” but they don’t have to go through the additional processes, I understand wanting proof of citizenship but that was provided years and years ago when I provided my birth certificate to get my drivers license at the age of 16. Not to mention, it takes FOREVER to get any documents because work efficiency within the government is terrible. They rarely even answer the phones and then want to charge an arm and a leg for each piece of paper.

They consider that a feature, not a bug.

It’s infuriating how republicans yell about smaller government and having the government stay out of their lives sometimes, yet other times…

Let me make sure I understand this. You want me to collect several documents from the government, so I can lose a days pay to go show them to the government?

LOL Missouri requested and received multiple extensions from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to comply with the federal REAL ID Act. Missouri was among the last states to adopt REAL ID due to legislative delays.

And which party has been in control of the Missouri General Assembly for over twenty years? We’ll wait.

Olathe runs well, too. You can make an appointment and that process is easy and efficient. You only go to one ‘station’ now to do it all and the gentleman who helped me was friendly, competent, and speedy. They have smoothed out the bumps.

Ma’am, Olathe is in Kansas.
