Venn Diagram of Right Wingnut Orthodoxy – not complete

This afternoon:

JD Vance @JDVance

There is an extraordinary “reproducibility crisis” in the sciences, particularly in biology, where most published papers fail to replicate.

Most universities have massive bureaucracies that inhibit the translation of basic research into commercial adoption.

The voting patterns of university professors are so one-sided that they look like the election results of North Korea.

And on top of all of this, many universities explicitly engage in racial discrimination (mostly against whites and asians) that violates the civil rights laws of this country.

Our universities could see the policies of the Trump administration as a necessary corrective to these problems, change their policies, and work with the administration to reform.

Or, they could yell “fascism” at basic democratic accountability and drift further into irrelevance.

“I was really being tough – and so was he. And we would go back and forth,” Trump told a rally in West Virginia.

“And then we fell in love, okay? No, really – he wrote me beautiful letters, and they’re great letters,” he said.

That was then, apparently.

Right wingnut resentment in search of a problem. What else is new?

Why is higher education a target?

The Growing Partisan Divide in Views of Higher Education
By Kim Parker
August 19, 2019

[….] A new Pew Research Center survey finds that only half of American adults think colleges and universities are having a positive effect on the way things are going in the country these days. About four-in-ten (38%) say they are having a negative impact – up from 26% in 2012.

The share of Americans saying colleges and universities have a negative effect has increased by 12 percentage points since 2012. The increase in negative views has come almost entirely from Republicans and independents who lean Republican. From 2015 to 2019, the share saying colleges have a negative effect on the country went from 37% to 59% among this group. Over that same period, the views of Democrats and independents who lean Democratic have remained largely stable and overwhelmingly positive.

Only half of American adults think colleges and universities are having a positive effect on the way things are going in the country these days.
Gallup found a similar shift in views about higher education. Between 2015 and 2018, the share of Americans saying they had a great deal or quite a lot of confidence in higher education dropped from 57% to 48%, and the falloff was greater among Republicans (from 56% to 39%) than among Democrats (68% to 62%).
[….]

“….The increase in negative views has come almost entirely from Republicans and independents who lean Republican….”

They have a plan.

Who benefits?

Anything else going on?

Harvard is being held accountable for collaboration with the CCP, fostering violence, antisemitism, and pro-terrorist conduct from students on its campus.

This means Harvard can no longer enroll foreign students and existing foreign students must transfer or lose their legal status.

BRUSSELS, May 23 (Reuters) – Princess Elisabeth, the 23-year-old future queen of Belgium, has just completed her first year at Harvard University but the ban imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration on foreign students studying there could jeopardise her continued studies.

Eric Schmitt (r) [2022 file photo].

Maybe he should ask for his money back.

Really.

Yesterday:

Eric Schmitt
[May 22, 2025]
Mass migration must be met with mass deportations. We filed a bill this week to help President Trump do just that. We shouldn’t have to go through a full judicial review for every criminal alien. Our bill will expand expedited removal—to deport more people in less time.
[….]

As always, there is much hilarity in the responses:

Criminality of aliens is only discoverable through “full judicial review.” Otherwise, they’re just people.
Remember, innocent until proven guilty? Or are we at the point of brushing aside the alien judicial process for convenience?

You should have to go to Court to prove that they are not American Citizens and are undocumented. That’s what Immigration Court is for and if you had passed the Immigration Bill it would have provided more money and judges to do just that.
You’d rather complain about a problem rather than fix it legally.
Also, someone needs to explain that seeking asylum is not the same as coming from an asylum.

The court has to make that determination. Not ICE, not DHS.

Could you start with trumps 3rd (wife)?

Do you ever think about anything else?

Bad combover. Check. Too long red tie. Check. Orange spray tan. Check. Tiny hands. Check. Cluelessness. Check. Conviction. Check.

he’s trying to distract the rubes from the budget disaster he’s about to vote for

Deportation demands an actual process….not unidentified mask people abducting people off the street…more of a police state….with no due process….a la Russia, China, North Korea.

Wave after wave of immigrants have built this country. Contributed to this country.

Just follow the f’n law. You know, like habeas corpus and the like.

Yes you do have to go through judicial a review.

What’s next? Building ovens instead of flying them out of the country? Who knew the GOP would turn so lawless so quickly?

Coming soon, for everyone:

“Your papers, please.”

Please wait until I get my roof reshingled. And my siding replaced.

Eric doesn’t believe in due process. You’d love to live in Russia or Hungary.

“Make America Great Again” – in Russian.

The problem is innocent people get caught up in such a dragnet. And, that is not a legal way to proceed.

if they are not given due process ie: prove they came here illegally, then anyone can be deported including those who are here legally.

how does that work when masked people showing no identification are snatching people off the street, putting them in the back of vans and taking them away? When did they have the chance to provide their papers?

yeah, those pesky judges upholding the constitution and whatnot.

No.
We have already seen proof that this administration will call someone a “criminal” simply because they are undocumented.
Being undocumented is a CIVIL offense, NOT a criminal one.
Because this administration CANNOT BE TRUSTED to give due process to those who deserve it, they cannot be given the power they wrongly have been assuming.

you and Orange Adolph are the ones who should be locked up.

How do you prove that they’re criminals without a judicial review? [….]

Build an oven, Eric Schmitt. You know you want to.

If you’ve ever wondered what you would have done had you lived in Germany in the 1930s, you’re doing it now.

You are the most pathetic, inept administration in history. Aren’t you embarrassed?

So much for your constitional oath, traitor.

You are trampling the Constitution. You are a disgrace to America.
8647
Defend the constitution
[….]

Traitor! You are sworn to uphold the Constitution. Forgot that?

Eric Schmitt so you’ve completely abandoned the constitution. That’s a MAGAt, ultra right wing totalitarian thing to do. You’re on the wrong side of this morally and politically.

Cruelness incarnate is the Republican Party.

Eric Schmitt, you are going to hell, absolutely for sure.

Jesus Christ, they should disbar you.

Damn heritage foundation nazis bullshit propaganda, bunch of fascist white supremacists, destroying our democratic republic constitution, and rule of law, traitors

The solution to mass migration is not sending people back into an untenable situation, but to fix that situation so they don’t need to leave in the first place.
We should start a department of the US government designed to AID people. They can focus on food and healthcare in countries that are unstable and in the neighboring countries so the people fleeing can stay in the neighboring country instead of taking a perilous journey to the us. I think we could call this USAID.

Sarcasm, definitely.

90% of the immigrants are hard working, don’t ask for extras, add 50,000,000,000 in taxes paid, do not collect social security but pay into it when they work, now if tattoos are a sign of a gang and violence is a sign of a gang.. what about the bandidos, hells angels. Proud boys, many in the military?
Go to most any construction sight and you will find many immigrants, without them construction would be very slow.
Eric, you need to change your immigrant policy if you’re after criminals, go after US gangs, mobs, mafia, not innocent people who have committed a misdemeanor that by law does not require imprisonment. You will be unelected next time if you don’t [….]

Without due process, you can not be sure who actually is a “criminal alien”. ICE has already made mistakes.

Mass racism must be met with mass resistance.

F-U

Schmitt knows that all brown immigrants are evil. He wants to send Afghans back home so the Taliban can kill them. He prefers a white SA millionaire who owns a diamond mine.

You’re a fucking embarrassment.

Disgusting fascist

You are a racist asshat.

Senator – we’ll never have to worry about Trump having undiagnosed prostate problems – as long as you have YOUR HEAD PLANTED SO FAR UP HIS ASS!!!

And if they are not criminals? How can you be certain if they are not given due process?
Also, why do you vote against funding FEMA? You abandon your constituents for fealty to the big fat orange liar.
FUCK YOU YOU USELESS WORTHLESS PIECE OF SHIT

Liar.

Yesterday, from Mark Alford (r):

Congressman Mark Alford
[May 22, 2025]
PASSED! [….]
[….]

They ain’t buying the propaganda. Some of the responses:

in the middle of the night…nope no coverup there

You also get your Medicare cut – 4% Medicare cut per year for 10 years is now triggered due to the PayGo law passed in 2010. This is from the non-partisan CBO. So Medicare, Medicaid, and SNAP all get deep cuts while tariffs bring on the inflation. Your SS tax cut might help a little, but there is a lot here that is going to hurt like hell for the most vulnerable citizens

Nothing screams honesty and integrity like voting in the middle of the night. I will be voting against you Alford.

Hidden in this Bill is a kingmaking provision.
“No court of the United States may use appropriated funds to enforce a contempt citation for failure to comply with an injunction or temporary restraining order if no security was given when the injunction or order was issued….”
Translated: No federal court may enforce a contempt citation.
Obviously, courts need appropriated funds to do anything because Congress appropriates money to enable the courts to function. To require a security or bond to be given in civil proceedings seeking to stop alleged abuses by the federal government would effectively immunize such conduct from judicial review because those seeking such court orders generally don’t have the resources to post a bond.
Hence, with a stroke, the provision removes the judiciary’s capacity to hold officials in contempt.
How could you allow this?

Fascists gotta Fascist.

they can try but I hope the citizens would rise up in protest.

This basically neuters the courts and makes congress useless.

he doesn’t care.
MAGA wants us living in a fascist dictatorship. This is all part of the process.

Nice job, Congressman! As a person with money, I love getting more, and there is nothing better than watching people lose their healthcare. Thank you!

Probably sarcasm.

Hooray for the billionaires and corporations!
You did it.

Probably sarcasm.

Yaaaaaa your speech was awesome I see it took all night

Ditto.

You’re proud of this?!!

How many of your own constituents rely on Medicaid for access to healthcare?

41% of babies born in Missouri depend on Medicaid. [….]

Robin Hood in reverse, take from the poor and middle class and give to the rich !!

This is a huge problem for the working class. Despite your lies this bill will actually just transfer wealth from the working class to the wealthy elites. You should be ashamed of this bill which will give massive tax breaks to the wealthy and increase the national debt. All while cutting funding for social programs designed to offer assistance to our less fortunate citizens.

those are the talking points because that’s the easiest way to summarize the wealth grab. The lower tax brackets will all see increases so that the highest tax brackets can see cuts. Plus they will be making massive cuts to Medicaid and snap benefits. This bill extends and makes permanent the original tax breaks given during Trump’s first term. Those tax breaks increased the national debt by $10.7 trillion. This new big beautiful bill will make those tax breaks permanent and give even more to the wealthy elite.

I watched the congressional budget hearing on the bill itself. I’d encourage you to go watch it also. I will warn you it is over 4 hours long so block out some time for the research. It is worth the watch but it will unfortunately shatter your belief that this bill is good for Americans.

Tax breaks for the wealthy

Incredible how fast a washed-up local morning show anchor can go from fluff pieces to fascist cosplay. Supporting the deportation of American citizens with no due process, cozying up to dictators, touting Christianity while cutting government assistance. Sounds less like patriotism and more like selling out America one “Faux News” soundbite at a time. Truly soulless.

You just primaried yourself. You just voted to cut benefits and enrich rhe rich even more. Voters don’t like that.

As one of your constituents, I’m very disappointed that you voted YES to advance a House budget that rips away health care & food from millions—just to shower trillions on billionaires. Moms and families are watching. We’re not giving up on our families or economy.

There is so much extra BS among the 1,116 pages of that “big bill”. From repealing tanning bed taxes to allowing destruction of forests in the national parks. You should be embarrassed. Not proud.

Nice of you to admit you want children & the elderly to suffer the most. [….]

This is terrible for our country. You are terrible for our country and one day you will be held accountable for all these lies you are spreading.

This bill will take care of billionaires. It will help people as if you were just hit by a tornado or hurricane

There went Trumps promise Medicaid and Medicare wouldn’t get cut
Congressman Mark Alford fighting for the Elites at the cost to the poor. He’s what Maga is all about and it’s not making Americans Great.
Let the People see who Republicans fight for and the results they bring

Congressman Mark Alford, I know you’ve expressed a lot of concern about the debt and said it can’t continue to increase. So…how much is this going to add? $3 trillion? $4 trillion? But hey, at least all those billionaires are getting even more tax breaks.

You forgot stripping medical care and food assistance for the poor and infirm to give billions to the wealthy and upping the deficit by 3 plus trillions.

Mr. Alford, when will you have a real, in-person, town hall, instead of another meet and greet, or a rigged, virtual town halls where you get to pick who attends and what questions you’ll answer? Where you have to listen to your constituents instead of just talking at them to tell them your party’s line?

Robs hard working Americans and make the rich richer. Thanks for nothing.

Trump’s “One Big 💩 Bill” is Project 2025 in legislative form. Here’s how it quietly turns a far-right wishlist into federal law:
– Sec. 10008 – Expands work requirements for SNAP
– Project 2025: Pushes “moral reform” to make low-income people work more for food assistance.
– Sec. 10011 – Repeals education & obesity prevention grants
– Project 2025: Eliminates “social engineering” and funnels funding into “traditional values” education.
– Sec. 10012 – Restricts immigrant access to SNAP
– Project 2025: Blocks aid to undocumented and many legal immigrants.
– Sec. 110115 – Creates “Trump Accounts” and a Trump savings pilot program
– Project 2025: Promotes private savings plans tied to “American values” and market-based welfare.
– Sec. 44125 – Bans federal Medicaid/CHIP funding for gender transition procedures for minors
– Project 2025: Calls for a nationwide ban on federal support for gender-affirming care.
– Sec. 44141 – Requires states to impose Medicaid work requirements
– Project 2025: Promotes work mandates for benefits under the guise of personal responsibility.
– Sec. 44110 – Cuts off Medicaid/CHIP for those without verified legal status
– Project 2025: Strips access to healthcare for undocumented immigrants and narrows eligibility for others.
– Sec. 20001 – Military expansion for “quality of life” and Indo-Pacific readiness
– Project 2025: Backs massive defense buildup, especially near China and the southern border.
Dozens of sections quietly restructure the federal government to match the far-right’s long-term goals:
Guts environmental protections
– Sec. 42108 – Repeals Clean Air Act provisions used to limit emissions
– Sec. 42117 – Eliminates environmental and climate justice block grants
– Sec. 42301 – Strips EPA authority to enforce vehicle emissions standards
– Sec. 41009 – Rescinds funds from national parks, conservation, and climate programs
– Secs. 80307-80309 – Rescind National Park Service (NPS) funds provided under the Inflation Reduction Act:
– Sec. 80307: Cancels unobligated balances from Section 50221 (BLM and NPS resilience & restoration)
– Sec. 80308: Cancels funds from Section 50222 (ecosystem protection and climate adaptation)
– Sec. 80309: Cancels funds from Section 50223 (historic preservation and legacy infrastructure)
– Project 2025: Seeks to eliminate conservation efforts and open public lands for extraction and development.
– Sec. 80301-80309 – Blocks federal land conservation plans; rescinds NPS/BLM funds
– Sec. 80151-80152 – Charges protest fees and kills environmental data programs
– Project 2025: Calls for dismantling the EPA and environmental oversight to unleash fossil fuel production.
Centralizes power in the executive
– Sec. 30051 – Blocks agencies from issuing new rules without meeting strict cost-benefit standards
– Sec. 30061 – Prohibits the Secretary of Education from proposing new regulations
– Project 2025: Places all federal agencies under direct presidential control.
Weakens federal worker protections
– Sec. 90004 – Allows new federal hires to be fired at will-reviving “Schedule F”
– Sec. 90005 – Increases pension contributions for federal workers
– Sec. 90006 – Eliminates early retirement supplements
– Project 2025: Aims to purge and replace career civil servants with political loyalists.
Limits state authority
– Sec. 44001 – Preempts state and local governments from regulating artificial intelligence for 10 years
– Project 2025: Centralizes federal power to override states on tech, education, and energy policy.
Defunds watchdogs and public interest enforcement
– Sec. 50003 – Guts the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB)
– Sec. 50002 – Cuts enforcement powers from oversight bodies like the PCAOB
– Project 2025: Labels oversight and regulation as “deep state overreach.”
More buried provisions with Project 2025 fingerprints:
– Sec. 41008 – Creates a “De-Risking Fund” to protect fossil fuel companies from court orders or regulation
– Project 2025: Seeks to shield oil and gas interests from legal and environmental challenges.
– Sec. 44122 – Limits retroactive Medicaid coverage
– Project 2025: Reduces healthcare access by tightening eligibility windows.
– Sec. 44131 – Ends extra funding for states that expand Medicaid
– Project 2025: Actively seeks to roll back Medicaid expansion entirely.
– Sec. 80121(h) – Strips courts of jurisdiction to review federal permits and approvals
– Project 2025: Removes judicial oversight over mining, drilling, leasing, and environmental enforcement, effectively silencing the courts.
This isn’t just another bill. It’s the Project 2025 playbook written into law. This bill abuses budget reconciliation rules to jam through non-budget items: education rollbacks, environmental deregulation, and civil service purges.
Read the fine print. Read the bill.

To your everlasting shame 😡

Stop calling it the big beautiful bill. It’s a bullshit bill for billionaires.

Remember Trump proclaiming he would never cut Medicare? He lied to the tune of $500 billion. Seniors can now get a tax break if the buy a tanning bed but not if the need a hospital bed

And you’re proud of harming the poor, elderly, and children? Monster.

This bill hurts Seniors and the poor, it’s not beautiful [….]

I thought Trump had stopped all the illegal immigrants coming over the border. Why is there $46 billion dollars allocated for construction of the wall? Didn’t Mexico already pay for that?

Hey Mark I guess you don’t like fresh air or water Since you voted against polluting protections 😡 also now Republicans are known as the Lawless Party since You voted To ignore Judges😱 We Missourians don’t forget what You are Showing US

I hope you and every other Republican who voted for this travesty lose your seats in 2026. You’ve betrayed your constituents and your country.

You are cutting benefits while blowing up the deficit. Hiding unscrupulous language on judicial law within your bill. You must be really stupid to say you are not.
The Congressional Budget Office is clear 13.6 million Amercians will lose health coverage due to cuts to Medicaid and Affordable Care Act in House Budget Bill.
Only the U.S. Senate can stop these cuts.
Call your senators!

You lied cheated stole and in the middle of the night passed the largest tax hike and Medicaid cuts act in the history of time.
You could not even get plus 50%
Half of the representatives of the people in this country voted NO to your TAX hike.
If you were a true representative of the people you would have facilitated a deal… but you are nothing more than orange nose carpet licker.

Trump’s Republican budget takes food and health care from poor people to fund yachts and mansions for rich people.

You’re a really horrible person, Congressman Alford. You do realize that, don’t you. 🐷

I’ve gone past mad. Now I’m just sad. The cruelty is the point. The hatred of normal people is the point. Reversing every good thing the Democrats did is the point. Then Mark posts scripture? The up side: with our climate problems we’ll probably all be dead in 10 years.

They consider that a feature, not a bug.

Joe Biden was not for Open Borders, he never talked about Open Borders, where criminals of all kinds, shapes, and sizes, can flow into our Country at will. It wasn’t his idea to Open the Border, and almost destroy our Country, and cost us Hundreds of Billions of Dollars to get criminals out of our Country, and go through the process we are going through now. It was the people that knew he was cognitively impaired, and that took over the Autopen. They stole the Presidency of the United States, and put us in Great Danger. This is TREASON at the Highest Level! They did it to destroy our Country. The Joe Biden that everybody knew would never allow drug dealers, gang members, and the mentally insane to come into our Country totally unchecked and unvetted. All anyone has to do is look up his record. Something very severe should happen to these Treasonous Thugs that wanted to destroy our Country, but couldn’t, because I came along. REAL ID was never about safety.
It is about tracking, surveillance, and forcing every American into a federal database.
This law needs to be repealed. Now.

He’s not very smart, is he?

One response, so far:

You don’t think you’re already in a database?

There’s that.

Yesterday

Congressman Mark Alford
[May 19, 2025]
‼️It’s time for able bodied adults with no dependents to get off the couch and back to work.
These are not “cuts” to Medicaid in President Trump’s One BIG, Beautiful Bill. We are saving money to make sure the program is there for people who truly need it.‼️

Some of the responses:

People on Medicaid already do the paperwork proving they should be on it. This paper work is designed to make it hard for people to stay on . Constantly refiling untill they mess up and drop off. Many on Medicaid are unable to do the paperwork for themselves.

Many of the people on Medicaid are working already. Also,
Medicaid has lengthy and exacting standards to be able to claim benefits. I wish the requirements for US Reoresentatives were as difficult to pass.

Mark’s obviously very new at this job maybe one day he’ll be honest instead of just a yes, man for an orange turd ……

Bad combover. Check. Too long red tie. Check. Orange spray tan. Check. Tiny hands. Check. Cluelessness. Check. Conviction. Check.

66% of adults ages 19-64 on Medicaid in Missouri currently work. This group + the 1 of 3 children in Missouri on Medicaid make up 76% of the total Medicaid enrolled in MO but only receive 40% of the $ paid out. where does the rest go? 24% of enrollees are the 2 of 3 seniors in MO nursing homes & 2 of 7 disabled. That 24% gets 60% of the Medicaid $ paid out in Mo.

Well, hell, I have 3 torn ligaments in my knee. But if Mark wants me to get off the couch, guess that’s what I have to do. Thanks, Mark, for the wake-up call. By the way, could you get somebody to drive me around? Message me!

key word there is suggests!!! What is your definition of able bodied??? How about you doing what your constituents hired you to do – work for them and why haven’t you addressed the fact that the so called big beautiful bill actual adds trillions of dollars to the national debt – with all these savings that doge has made you would think that number would be lowering the national debt not raising it- there is nothing more fraudulent then this current administration!!

don’t you think it would be good to figure out actual numbers, before rushing this bill through? Y’all don’t plan to implement the Medicaid cuts until the end of 2027, so as to not affect the election, so what’s the rush?

you love forcing disabled people to work?

You love kicking kids and the elderly off of Medicaid? Those are the 2 largest groups drawing Medicaid benefits.

You love it…………..until you need it and it isn’t there for you. The selfishness is astounding. I know so many people like you, and it breaks my heart that so many have no empathy for others……….sigh………

You DO realize that most people who are Medicaid cannot work…you know little kids, disabled people, people in nursing homes. Very little fraud. Most fraud is at the provider, prescription plan and managed care level. Better research please.

Why don’t you provide the math to justify your claims about the budget bill?

How dumb can you be? Do you not know that Trump is lying to you? He’s not “saving money!” He’s using the money to give tax breaks to rich people.

just like they will deport all the illegals, studies show that 80% deported actually were here legally and the rules were changed. they were not criminals.

Uhm do you not understand who the working poor are?????

Many able-bodied adults without dependents who rely on Medicaid are already working full-time—especially in service jobs like restaurants, hotels, and retail—where health insurance is rarely offered.
The “8647” phrase has been getting attention lately. In service slang, “86” means “to get rid of,” and “47” refers to Trump as the 47th president. While it stirred political controversy, it also highlights a harsh reality: many working people feel “86’d” from basic economic security.
Medicaid isn’t a handout for people avoiding work—it’s often the only thing keeping hardworking folks afloat. Cutting these benefits doesn’t save money; it hurts the people who keep our economy going.
If we really want to support working Americans, we need to stop making assumptions about who deserves help and focus on ensuring access to affordable healthcare.

So I have to call off my retirement?

Truly regret i voted for you

Congressman Mark Alford = Liar ! ! !

I don’t think this post worked out the way you thought it would, Congressman Mark Alford.

He doesn’t care.

Lap dog

Congressman Mark Alford we Missourians voted to expand Medicaid. I actually agree with Senator Josh Hawley on the immoral and devastating effects of slashing Medicaid. You talk about adding “work requirements” though that was tried and failed for several good foreseeable reasons (like people being disabled, children, elderly, etc.), but then also want to slash benefits for Medicaid expansion beneficiaries even though those are people who make enough income to not qualify for traditional Medicaid because they ARE WORKING.

Mark Alford “could be”….that sounds like it’s a valid research statistic [….]

I read the KFF report and 18,000 people lost coverage under the Arkansas work requirement but it didn’t increase employment. Also per that report, access to affordable healthcare and insurance increases the likelihood that someone is able to be healthy enough to obtain and maintain employment. We all pay dearly when our fellow citizens are unhealthy and even more so when they’re uninsured. A healthy workforce is a smart investment.

Such a disrespectful post showing you have no understanding of why people are on Medicaid or how hard it is to get on Medicaid. And we have not forgotten your February 25th post stating “not one dime” would be cut from Medicaid.
“Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan, I will now arise,” says the LORD. “I will protect them from those who malign them.” (Psalm 12:5, NIV).

Mr. Alford, when will you have a real, in-person, town hall, instead of another meet and greet, or a rigged, virtual town halls where you get to pick who attends and what questions you’ll answer? Where you have to listen to your constituents instead of just talking at them to tell them your party’s line?

Congressman Mark Alford write this down. Refer back to these notes in 12 months.
This is what is going to happen: the state will purposely set up a series of Medicaid requirements that few people will be able to qualify for.
The Feds will purposely cut funding to the states and say that the state is responsible for funding Medicaid, that it isn’t the Feds problem nor do they have the money (the very richest are going to get that money).
The state will then add even more Medicaid requirements which will kick people off of Medicaid and/or render them ineligible when they apply.
The end result will be millions of people left with no health care and/or no insurance coverage at all. Hospitals will close. Clinics will close. Doctors will leave even more rural areas and relocate. People in rural areas will travel even longer distances than they do now for health care, because these rural areas will now be more barren than they already are. Those areas are barren now due to the deliberate destructive actions of the Republican Party that decimated health care years ago with their refusal to expand the ACA and Medicaid.
People will die.

These cuts will kill people and you know it. Stop posting your Christian bullshit on Sundays when you do this to people.

So let me get this straight- you don’t trust women to make their own decisions & now you don’t trust doctors to make a disability determination??? Oh- and are there jobs? Why don’t you raise taxes on billionaires?

You are a liar

You, Congressman Mark Alford, are spreading disinformation. You lack integrity and are pathetic.

What a tired and absurd rhetoric. I’m sure you would be thrilled if 9 year olds were working in factories again; that would probably be thrilling for you. As a taxpaying citizen, I would prefer to give a sandwich to a child in need than to give a military parade to an overgrown man-child and draft dodger.

How do you look at yourself in the mirror? You need to get a backbone and stand up for what is right and true and good. Yet, you choose to be a bootlicker. How will you look God in the eye when you get to the pearly gates?

I thought nothing was going to be cut from Medicare and Medicaid? Congressman Mark Alford

Your personality such as it is is completely subsumed by Trump. You’re like a Stepford wife

I think you actually believe the garbage you’re pushing.

Were you born an a$$hole or is this something you worked hard at?

Principles of International Law Recognized in the Charter of the Nüremberg Tribunal and in the Judgment of the Tribunal, 1950.

Principle IV
The fact that a person acted pursuant to order of his Government or of a superior does not relieve him from responsibility under international law, provided a moral choice was in fact possible to him.

Yesterday:

Homeland Security @DHSgov
It is absolutely sickening to compare ICE law enforcement agents to the Gestapo.

Attacks and demonization of ICE and our partners is wrong. ICE officers are now facing a 413% increase in assaults.

Our message is clear: DO NOT come to this country illegally. If you do, we will arrest you, deport you and you will never return.

Some of those responses:

Trump is going to be mad that DHS put out a post that didn’t mention how lucky we are to have Trump.

When does the container ship with your Brown Shirts arrive in port from China?

Maybe Homeland Security should be renamed Gestapo too. Because, well, what we see now in the streets has nothing… to see… with a democracy.
Or the fascists in charge of this for now can also resign and giving back the Homeland security to responsible people…
They are so embarrassing….

If it threatens and acts like the gestapo, it’s a gestapo. They just keep proving the point.

They forget that they are arresting people who are here legally and are US citizens. So yes Gestapo seems to fit.

I mean if they stopped acting like the Gestapo people would stop comparing ICE to the Gestapo. We have no need for Gestapo tactics.

If it goosesteps like a…

Homeland Security can deny all they want that they are not Gestapo, but we see the same tactics , the same lack of empathy and honesty that the Nazi armband wearing criminals did under Hitler. The similarities are spot on. Just because they deny it doesn’t change the facts.

Perhaps wearing masks, not identifying themselves and not producing warrants might be a start to figuring out this conundrum.

If the jackboot fits…

No they are SS…. But with GESTAPO manners.

They aren’t the gestapo. The gestapo wore identifiable uniforms and didn’t burn through money like a California wildfire.

Sarcasm, probably.

It’s true, they are not the Gestapo. They are more like the SA.

Yeah, sarcasm.

Gestapo says what?

And on and on.
