That’s being charitable.

As always, we don’t allow ignorant trolling comments out of moderation to be linked with the original post, but we will present some of them in subsequent posts for the purpose of public derision and mockery. As we see fit.

We see fit.

This comment was submitted today in response to There is no such thing as a “moderate” republican (July 26, 2024):

Arkansas foisted the Clintons off on us. (and we both know he was talking about the US/Mexico border)

Have you seen/read these books? they’re porn, in junior high and middle school libraries. as well as the community libraries in the teen and young adult sections, possibly children’s sections.

If A person can be charged with two murders for killing a pregnant woman, why is it not Murder when Planned Parenhood kills one of the two?

The 2nd Amendment is there for a reason, and it’s not for hunting. Congress is specifically prohibited by it from making ANY gun laws.
Yet they keep trying…

We don’t know what the budget looks like, try to find the info yourself and post a link.

And we ARE worried about men/boys in womens/girls sports. Why should a female lose out on a scholarship because these people want to force the rest of us to participate in their fantasy?

There are people who call themselves moderate republicans, not sure if they are or if they’re dems who know they can’t get elected if anyone knew what they really are.

Maroon.

Resent Arkansas much? Just asking. I hear the catfish is good. Why would a state senate candidate concern himself with the Mexican border?

What’s the current trend in border crossings? Go look it up. There was a bipartisan immigration bill, but Donald Trump (r) bad mouthed it because he didn’t want Joe Biden (D) to get any credit for addressing the issue before the election. There’s that.

I visit libraries all the time. Public and school libraries. Here’s the thing – you don’t want you and yours reading a book? – then don’t check it out. You don’t have any right to impose your pearl clutching censorship on anyone else.

If you drop your peanut butter toast face down on the carpet your bicycle goes faster uphill.

Greg Abbott (r) and your ilk kill both. You nor the state have any business interfering in the reproductive health decision of any other person. Against the death penalty? Good for you. Against war? Good for you. I doubt it for you, though. Dead school children are a small price to pay? You’re not “pro-life”, you’re a fucking psychopath.

You have a reading comprehension problem. Well regulated militia. Try sounding the words out. I doubt it will help.

Go look up the budget yourself. It’s easy enough to do. I suspect you’re lazy and incurious, though.

Gee, everyone or no one gets a sports scholarship, but this is happening everywhere, and this must be addressed so you can happily stew in your bigotry.

Overton Window. Look it up. There is no such thing as a “moderate” republican.

What gave you the mistaken impression that we give a flying fuck about what you think?

Judge rules Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey can be questioned under oath
By: Jason Hancock – July 26, 2024 2:30 pm

A Clay County judge on Friday refused to reverse her order from earlier this month that Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey answer questions under oath about conversations with a local official that may have violated legal ethics rules.

Judge Karen Krauser ordered Bailey to sit for a deposition after it was discovered he and a deputy met with a member of the Jackson County Legislature without the knowledge of the county’s attorneys.

Bailey filed a lawsuit in December over Jackson County’s property assessment process, and the Jackson County Legislature is a named defendant.

The meetings appear to have violated the rules of professional conduct set out by the Missouri Supreme Court, which prohibit attorneys from meeting with individuals involved in a lawsuit without the consent of their lawyer. Krauser ordered Bailey to answer questions under oath about the meetings from Jackson County’s attorneys.

What they’re spending all that money on:

Yep, it’s the “school choice” voucher scam designed to defund public education:

Press Release
AFC Announces Launch of Affiliated “AFC Victory Fund” Super PAC
Updated on May 28, 2024 [….]
Dallas, TX – The American Federation for Children is pleased to announce the official launch of AFC Victory Fund, a national Super PAC that will take AFC’s work of championing school choice and empowering parents to the next level.

During the 2024 election cycle, AFCVF will be a powerful force in state legislative races nationwide, devoting at least $10 million in support of school choice champions and against opponents.

AFCVF’s mission is to support candidates who prioritize education freedom, enabling families to choose the best education for their children. AFCVF believes every child deserves an education tailored to his or her unique needs and aspirations.

During the 2022 election season, AFC’s political affiliates and allies created a “sonic boom” for school choice. We spent $9 million to ensure parents’ voices were represented and set the stage for another year of historic school choice expansion, winning 277 out of 368 races, a 75% success rate that included the defeat of at least 40 anti-school choice incumbents. In the mail from a PAC propping up Dan Houx (r) in the 31st Senate District primary:

A nice reminder that right wingnuts have controlled the Missouri General Assembly for over twenty years.

“…funding the National Guard at our Southern Border”

What did Arkansas ever do to us?

“Protecting our kids from liberal indoctrination in our schools”

He doesn’t want them to read, you know, books.

“Defend the 2nd Amendment and voted repeatedly to guarantee Missourians right to conceal and carry”

….In an average year, 1,288 people die and 2,312 are wounded by guns in Missouri. Missouri has the 8th-highest rate of gun violence in the US….

….In Missouri, the rate of gun deaths increased 70% from 2011 to 2020, compared to a 33% increase nationwide. The rate of gun suicides increased 37% and gun homicides increased 130% compared to a 12% increase and 70% increase nationwide, respectively….

“Balanced Missouri’s Budget…”

Missouri’s budget is balanced every year. It has to be. It’s a constitutional requirement.

“Keeping boys out of girls’ sports”

Yeah, like we’re all really worried about that.

“Made Missouri the most-pro-life state in the nation and defunded Planned Parenthood”

All by himself. Uh, Planned Parenthood provides health care services to women. Cutting that access is nothing to brag about.

There is no such thing as a “moderate” republican.
