After reviewing the collected data (7-day average,) it appears the counties with the highest populations have the highest vaccination rates. They also have the highest number of cases.
Boone – 51% V rate – 63 cases
Clay – 44% V rate – 46 cases
Franklin – 46% V rate – 49 cases
Greene – 41% V rate – 55 cases
Jackson – 44% V rate – 413 cases
Jefferson – 36% V rate – 104 cases
St. Charles – 49% V rate – 121 cases
St. Louis County – 50% V rate – 248 cases

Highest population not surprisingly have a high gross number of cases. Notice no rates. No effort to compare counties bases on number of cases per 10,000.
Since when is a 51% vaccination rate high or adiquate to slow an epidemic.
She does not understand math or epidemiology.

Bad math is dangerous

So without the information pertaining to how many of the cases are vaccinated, she reaches that conclusion? I mean I can roughly estimate that 100% of the people who tested positive drank water or some liquid prior to testing positive, so is water/liquid causing Covid?

This is just basic math—if one figure is shown as a percent, the next should be as well, otherwise it is quite literally cherry-picking information.

The thing I really find disturbing, other than the lack of math skills, is this person is part of the board. She has access to the people who track infectious disease in her community but obviously has no interest in learning from them. I cannot imagine that she can’t just talk to the people at the health center and say, “look, I’m reading these statistics, what do they mean? Does that mean more vaccinated people means more infections?” It’s been my experience that the people who work in public health are more than willing to explain if you have a question.

It’s sad she is on our heslth board with such a poor grasp of facts and committed to such a scary agenda that is contrary to her oath of office. It doesn’t speak well of her character or ability to serve.

If they’re not dead they’re quarantining after exposure, or staying home with their kids who are quarantining after definitely being exposed almost daily at school. Does anyone *not* know someone who has missed work because they either tested positive or had to quarantine?

I’m not buying it. An extra $300 a week is not the issue. That’s basically the equivalent of a $7.50 an hour job for 40 hours a week. Not only that, states who have already terminated the benefit have not seen an increased number of people going to work.
