Today at the Missouri Ethics Commission for the PAC propping up right wingnut Andrew Bailey (r) in his election bid for Missouri Attorney General:

C222296 09/21/2024 Liberty and Justice PAC Miriam Adelson 3355 Las Vegas Blvd S Las Vegas NV 89109 Las Vegas Sands Corporation Owner and CEO 9/20/2024 $50,000.00

[emphasis added]

Oh, this Miriam Adelson (r):

VFW Admonishes Former President for Medal of Honor Remarks
The following is a message from VFW National Commander Al Lipphardt
August 16, 2024

WASHINGTON — “On Thursday, former President Donald Trump spoke at an event where he made some flippant remarks about the Medal of Honor and the heroes who have received it. In the video that has circulated online and in the media, the former president was recognizing Miriam Adelson in the audience who he awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom during his time in office. As he described the medal as the civilian version of the Medal of Honor, he went on to opine that the Medal of Freedom was “much better” than the military’s top award, because those awarded the latter are, in his words, “ … either in very bad shape because they’ve been hit so many times by bullets or they’re dead.” He continued by comparing Miriam to MoH recipients saying, “She gets it and she’s a healthy beautiful woman. They are rated equal.”

These asinine comments not only diminish the significance of our nation’s highest award for valor, but also crassly characterizes the sacrifices of those who have risked their lives above and beyond the call of duty.

When a candidate to serve as our military’s commander-in-chief so brazenly dismisses the valor and reverence symbolized by the Medal of Honor and those who have earned it, I must question whether they would discharge their responsibilities to our men and women in uniform with the seriousness and discernment necessary for such a powerful position. It is even more disappointing when these comments come from a man who already served in this noble office and should frankly already know better. [….]

Bad combover. Check. Too long red tie. Check. Orange spray tan. Check. Tiny hands. Check. Cluelessness. Check…

Someone should ask Andrew Bailey (r) his opinion about that.

Report shows Black drivers still pulled over at higher rate than white drivers in Mid-Missouri
By Mitchell Kaminski
May 31, 2024 7:54 PM

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Black drivers in Missouri were once again pulled over at a higher rate, based on their percentage of the population in 2023, according to the state’s annual Vehicle Stops Report. [….]

For a period of time Josh Hawley (r) was the Missouri Attorney General. You’d think he knew what the office actually did.

Vehicle Stops Report

[….]

Concerns raised by the citizens of Missouri and the Missouri legislature regarding allegations of bias in traffic enforcement prompted the passage of SB 1053 (2000). SB 1053 created Section 590.650, RSMo. which became effective August 28, 2000. This statute created the Vehicle Stops Report and required that the Attorney General’s Office collect and report on traffic stops conducted by law enforcement officers across the state of Missouri.

Under § 590.650, RSMo. all peace officers in the state must report specific information, including a driver’s race, for each vehicle stop made in the state. Law enforcement agencies must provide their vehicle stops data to the Attorney General by March 1, and the Attorney General must compile the data and report to the Governor, General Assembly, and each law enforcement agency no later than June 1 of each year. The law allows the Governor to withhold state funds from any agency that does not submit its vehicle stops data to the Attorney General by the statutory deadline.

[….]

These reports have been issued annually since 2000. Apparently, Josh Hawley (r) wasn’t paying attention. Today:

Senator Josh Hawley
[September 3, 2024]
Remember this Biden-Harris-backed judicial nominee?
Senator Hawley called her out for thinking that enforcing TRAFFIC LAWS is racist —
[….]

Some of the responses:

Here is the reason why, “Traffic stops, and pretext stops in particular, are riddled with racial disparities; so, too, are the harms that flow from them. Empirical analyses demonstrate two key findings: (1) Black drivers are consistently over-policed and disproportionately stopped, with rates of investigatory or pretext stops for Black drivers often more than double the rates for white drivers; and (2) Black motorists are more likely (once stopped) to be intrusively searched, arrested, and subjected to police violence. The harms from these interactions—the indignities of being stopped and searched; the state surveillance attendant to being charged with a misdemeanor; the carceral exposure that comes with being accused of a felony; and physical pain, injury, and death—are well documented. And of course, this disturbingly uneven treatment offers no corresponding benefit to public safety, as multiple studies show that Black motorists are, if anything, less likely than white drivers to be found with contraband. In the face of these continuing racial disparities, jurisdictions across the country have begun to step up and address these issues.”

Hawley? Would you Please just go away, disappear, leave us alone, and stop being such a jerk?

Another day, another hand picked selective clip of Hawley haranguing someone to make himself look important. Didn’t show the context, didn’t show her response. Can’t wait to vote for Lucas Kunce.

She states clearly in the clip that she isn’t saying not to enforce the violations, but that those type of tickets could be issued by mail and not by the police. Who could then “focus on more serious enforcement.” Josh here is showboating out of context. Again.

Hawley is a showboating joke of a punk who doesn’t belong on the room with serious people..
Josh Hawley will always be best known as the guy who pumped his fist at insurrectionists outside the Capitol on January 6th… then ran for his life just a few hours later.
Non-serious CLOWN…
[….]

The Senator lying to mislead. This is what the document says: ” Framing an ordinance precisely and intentionally. Many preemption concerns can be mitigated by making clear that an ordinance is not about total non-enforcement of state traffic laws. Instead, the ordinance might narrowly effect changes in local police departments’ stop authority, while leaving open other avenues of enforcing state laws and notifying drivers of violations. For instance, some secondary stops ordinances contemplate enforcement of secondary violations in connection with traffic stops based on primary violations. Alternatively, an ordinance could provide that officers may enforce certain violations by mailing tickets to motorists instead of stopping them. Moreover, many violations often designated as secondary (like expired registration tags) parallel other provisions that address the same conduct in other ways (e.g., parking with expired tags as opposed to driving with them). Cities with some measure of fiscal autonomy can couple this careful framing with an emphasis on the need to prioritize scarce municipal resources—again, through a less costly method of enforcing traffic violations, not non-enforcement.” Hee Hawley probably didn’t expect that.

W[h]at a clever way of twisting a paper on racist enforcement of traffic laws by a Hispanic nominee to include two other talking points for which you cited no proof or connection. I do not imagine any way you could have ever voted for any nominee offered by the President, in any case. Your well-acted confusion proved nothing but you already well-know prejudices.

I think being a Christian nationalist is just “nuts”

Context is everything.
Show the whole video you pandering simp.

Remember you’re a seditionist.

Is that his I’m an alpha masculine male pose?

Ignoring the systems that criminalize and disenfranchise minorities is #racist, Joshy boy. But that’s precisely what you and the MAGAt crowd embrace.

What I remember is Josh Hawley inciting the Trump sponsored mob to attack the Capitol with his raised fist in the air.
And then running away like a little coward.
A real creep.
That’s what I remember.
Vote him out of office. He has no respect for our democracy.

Senator Josh Hawley, noting that you’re not talking about the Trump Supreme Court justices who are looking likely to be accepted bribes, etc. Why is that?

Keep them distracted from project 2025 and agenda 47. Resign you complicit pandering lying seditious christofascist hack. Missouri deserves better.

your memory is skewed joshy. you remember the one dead ended and not even voted on and the one rushed through in 3 weeks…al because of party politics? isn’t it time we had people in power more concerned about our country rather than themselves?

There is anyone more racist than a Christian nationalist

What if a Black guy get stopped because a tail light is out, and then gets shot? Is that racist (run like a little girl) Hawley?

Repeat, regurgitate and repeat. Typical Hawley posting

All I remember is you running like a little girl away from the insurrectionists you had just fist pumped.

Judge rules Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey can be questioned under oath
By: Jason Hancock – July 26, 2024 2:30 pm

A Clay County judge on Friday refused to reverse her order from earlier this month that Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey answer questions under oath about conversations with a local official that may have violated legal ethics rules.

Judge Karen Krauser ordered Bailey to sit for a deposition after it was discovered he and a deputy met with a member of the Jackson County Legislature without the knowledge of the county’s attorneys.

Bailey filed a lawsuit in December over Jackson County’s property assessment process, and the Jackson County Legislature is a named defendant.

The meetings appear to have violated the rules of professional conduct set out by the Missouri Supreme Court, which prohibit attorneys from meeting with individuals involved in a lawsuit without the consent of their lawyer. Krauser ordered Bailey to answer questions under oath about the meetings from Jackson County’s attorneys.
