Just a wild guess.

Maybe not.

So, Fascism is considered a “family value”, too?

Some candidates talk about supporting conservative policies during the campaign. I have a real conservative record of protecting our freedom and liberties.
6:02 PM · Jul 22, 2022

There is much hilarity in the responses:

Conservative government is destroying Missouri. We need less of it not more.

Define freedom!

Nope. Not true at all.

Aren’t small government & local control “conservative values”? So why do you support laws to remove local control and tell people they have to follow your religious beliefs?

“I have a real conservative record of restricting, and even erasing, our freedom and liberties.” There, fixed it for you.

And let’s remember that in your world “protecting our freedom and liberties” actually means attacking and actively undermining people’s freedom and liberties. #FuckAbortionBans

You defend only the freedoms you want and the religion you want. This is who you are.

Your record proves you are MAGA GOP intent on destroying Missouri by being against high quality and safe public schools, women’s and minorities rights, and our democracy. No votes for you!

Isn’t your record that of crudely taunting and threatening to take away reproductive rights from Missourians and hanging out with fascists? [….]

Yeah I’m pretty sure I’ve lost freedom and liberties but go off Mary.

Sorry umm what’s this freedom and liberty do you speak of? Because your track record shows that you willfully and deliberately helped make women of Missouri second class citizens.

Protecting who’s freedom and liberties? Please! You’re doing no such thing. This tweet is a lie. Stop lying.

Hey MaryElizabeth? You need to keep your religion to yourself. You have absolutely no respect for the constitution and are so full of yourself that you think you know what is best for other people that you don’t even know.

They consider that a feature, not a bug.

Some of the responses:

Faith without works is dead.

Praying doesn’t seem to work, maybe we should try something else.

Please do something to prevent this from happening again. You weren’t elected for your ability to pray, you were elected to pass laws.

Your prayers mean absolutely NOTHING!!! You are a disgrace!

Prayers do not stop bullets common sense gun laws would be a fresh approach. Your pro birth but post birth children are collateral damage it’s GUNS no matter how many children die
[….]

This is what Dennys answer is to school shootings. 212 mass shootings in our country so far this yr, when will it happen in Mo.? Blame the elected officials who get rich off the NRA to pass laws that favor GUNS over your child’s life.
[….]

No outrage only prayers that don’t stop bullets
[….]

You passed #SAPA which was opposed by law enforcement and would prevent federal authorities from helping when (not if) there’s a school shooting in Missouri. You’ve made it easier to buy guns.

You don’t care about any of these people. Spare is your false prayers.

Log off, Denny.

#moleg

Obviously we’ve been praying for over 20 years. It doesn’t seem to be working because it keeps happening and you all are complicit and choose unfettered access to guns over living, breathing human beings. So you too can STFU.

…’This past session, we saw a few individuals’ political posturing obstruct key pieces of priority legislation and promote inefficient and ineffective government. Kansas City area detail:

The Sixth Congressional District goes across the state.

Boone County (Columbia) is split between the Third and Fourth Congressional Districts.

Jackson County and surroundings, well, just take a look at it.

The Fourth Congressional District starts to swallow the Third Congressional District which almost completely swallows the Second Congressional District.

Take a look at Camden County.

Unfortunately SB798, the #BigMacWelfare #LobsterFoodStamp bill, was perfected 16-14 last night in the MO Senate. I don’t believe your tax dollars should pay for restaurant food from Red Lobster, McDonald’s, etc. for food stamp recipients. @GOP @MoSenateGOP

There is much hilarity in the responses:

Please provide the list of restaurants that have already signed contracts with the state since this bill just passed last night there are NONE, so your making most of this up. MISINFORMATION

Denny Hoskins (r) answers today, sort of:

Senator Denny Hoskins, CPA @DLHoskins
[….]
Sorry, not misinformation, you just weren’t listening very well. I said these were some of the restaurants approved in California for #WelfareWhoppers and #DelTacoFoodStamps. CA is 1 of 6 states to approve this program. [….]
3:17 PM · Apr 30, 2022

I listened to what you said, and you did not bring up CA in your video ONCE. provide the list of approved restaurants that have contracted with the state of Mo. for this?

He’s caught in gaslighting. Let’s watch him backpedal.

Well his original post has no CA narrative, then he added the link for CA in the response to me, so yes your exactly right. I can find NO agreement with the state of Mo with any Bus., so if he has that provide it

of course you do, punish the poor, make them cook!
Jesus helped the poor.

Disingenuous. This bill allows only elderly, disabled & homeless to use FS at just a small # of approved restaurants that have been approved by HHS to provide a nutritious approved meal. This fills a def need for this small community.

I’m okay with people getting food.

Great job the MoGOP is going with their supermajority! I don’t see ‘brass knuckles’ on your board, figured it was important since it was debated during the pandemic? You should also add ‘defund local public schools’ as GOP wants the money for private schools.

The homeless must cook their food?
What is wrong with you?
Jesus wants you to cook!
Jesus doesn’t want you eating prepared food!

Did you vote to raise the minimum wage to a living wage?
Did you vote for affordable housing?
People live in food deserts & the only food available is often fast food. Not a good choice but better than starvation.
How did you vote on Medicaid?
Stingy Republican.
#moleg

I’d rather my tax dollars not pay you.

You should resign.

#moleg

Via the National Conference of State Legislatures:

2020 Legislator Compensation
Missouri $35,915/year. 43/mile. $121/day. Tied to federal rate. Unvouchered.

$121.00 per day. You think prepared food is off the table for Denny Hoskins (r)?

You’re seriously worried that someone may spend $1 for a burger? That’s a pathetic waste of legislative time & a bigger scandal than $1 meal on food stamps. It’s disgusting that these are the people you pick on. Too chicken to take on serious corruption or HELP your constituents?

I am a psychologist who works with low-income clients. Most of those who receive SNAP benefits don’t get enough to get them through the month. They certainly aren’t going to blow it all at Red Lobster. You should educate yourself instead of relying on Republican hyperbole.

I don’t believe my tax dollars should pay for shitheads like you.

Billions to farmers in subsidies. You don’t have a problem with free money to big Ag. Just don’t want the little people to be able to eat. Hypocrite jerk.
[….]

What an embarrassment to the profession. Penny-wise, pound foolish. Ever heard that one? What a fool.

Not to mention a lack of empathy and understanding for the circumstances of those who are less fortunate.
