Some of the responses:

Coward! Afraid to FACE your constituents in person. šŸ”

Mark, why aren’t you letting non-supporters into your ‘town hall’? Several of us signed up and never got a response. Are you only allowing people who agree with you?

probably. He’s not brave enough to face his constituents after the last mess.

This weekend:
Trump fired Federal prosecutor Adam Schleifer who was investigating Andrew Wiederhorn, a Trump donor, for trying to hide $47,000,000 from the IRS and investors of his company.
Trump said he “couldn’t care less” if car prices rise due to his tariffs.
Trump said there is a “method” for him to run for a 3rd term…is that “method” called martial law?
Trump says the Signal/Hegseth story is “old and boring”. Ok so I guess no investigation or charges will ever happen. (meanwhile members of the military who did the same thing are in Federal prison)
Goldman Sachs increased the chances of the US going into a recession to 35%, up from 20%.
Trump golfed all weekend yet again.
69 days in office, 27.45% spent golfing. $26,000,000 taxpayer dollars into Trump company coffers.

Mr. Alford, when’s the next Mondays with Mark, where you meet with your real constituents to answer their real questions and get to see their real response to you regurgitating Republican talking points?

The market is selling off again today because the republican party is filled with incompetent nazis—and no, there is no such thing as a competent nazi.
We continue to see mark alford and his fellow morons steal money directly from the treasury while they fuck up our economy.

It’s not a town hall if the questions are pre-selected.

Enjoy your pep rally. Remember you’ll be in an echo chamber of your own making.

No live meeting with your constituents? No in person meeting? Why do we need to sign up, you should be able to have a public meeting with everyone.

Screening questions is absurd. Hartzler did the same thing. She used it to discriminate based on viewpoint.

these so-called town halls are occupied by radical left-wing kooks and radical right wing kooks. It it only makes sense to screen questions and not waste time with idiotic questions.

They’re so powerful. They’re everywhere.

Coward!!!!!

Maybe have the town hall in a chicken coop?

We see what you did there.

Mark: Republicans have never met an economy they couldn’t crash; and they are trying to dismantle the Veterans Administration, Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. They want to preserve tax breaks for billionaires, and they put incompetent people into important positions. Too bad there is nothing you can do about it.

Screw you coward – this should be in person!!

a Town Hall is a conversation between a representative’s constituents and their representative. Screened attendees and screened questions do not make for a conversation.

I don’t think in this violent atmosphere the democrats have created that you should do “Town Halls” right now. I pray for safety for you and all attendees. I really think Republicans should step back for about 6 months to a year and let all the good things that are in the works come to fruition. I know many democrats who are watching the criminal acts of violence by their party and are ready to jump ship. It’s backfiring on them.
Democrats are sleep walking into their own hypocrisy. They haven’t learned from their mistakes.
President Trump already has a large majority, and it’s growing every day. Common sense people are paying attention. I think over the next several months with all the progress and enforcing of the laws we will see a better America.

It’s a cult.

That’s not a town hall. That’s propaganda spewing.

Fake Town Hall

Notice how unhappy your constituents are? Look for protests.

A town hall conducted virtually with questions you screen ahead of time. What a joke.

Why aren’t you doing this in person?

because he’s šŸ“ šŸ’©

Too chicken to show up in person! Typical.

Uh huh. Well, I’m sitting here stunned that my local library is posting asking people to contact their representatives and senators because of the defunding at the federal level. I live in a very red county. It is discouraging that it takes something happening to them for them to wake up. And sad that they still think contacting our representatives does anything. Look at this thread. Look at this guy. It’s a joke.

Coward

He’s a chicken shit for not meeting face to face. He won’t help anyway because his head is so far up trumps butt

Bad combover. Check. Too long red tie. Check. Orange spray tan. Check. Tiny hands. Check. Cluelessness. Check. Conviction. Check.

A cowards townhall

Coward. Screening questions.

LMAO! Too chickenshit to hold one in person! Now you’re screening the questions! Here’s one….when are you going to grow a spine, and hold Traitor Trump accountable for his numerous violations of law? Or did you abdicate to Traitor Trump?

At the march and rally in Warrensburg, Missouri on Saturday, March 29th protesting the continuing shitshow which is the second Trump Administration.

“Hands off Social Security”

I listened to a talking head conversation on a so-called liberal cable network morning show. Somehow the protests are all about a wealthy Nazi’s car dealerships. Yeah, no.

“Big mistake. Big. Huge…”

As in other towns and cities across America today people in Warrensburg, Missouri showed up.

Starting at around 11:00 a.m. people gathered on the Johnson County Courthouse lawn in downtown Warrensburg for a noon march and rally protesting the continuing shitshow which is the second Trump Administration. By the time the march started there were close to 300 people marching.

After gathering on the lawn (and visiting, and voter registration) the organizers had an invocation, then communicated the march route and rally agenda. Local law enforcement agencies blocked the intersections while the marchers were in the street on their way to the Quad on the University of Central Missouri campus.

“Dismantle DOGE”

“Trump is unAmerican”

“Speak your mind even if your voice shakes”

The start of the march.

“Mein Covfefe” – allusion and sarcasm on protest signs is an American art form. Smartassery at its finest.

“Trans Rights are Human Rights”

“The Many will beat the Money. Resist.”

“Fight Oligarchy”

“We’re being played”

“The time is now!”

“Our rights are not up for grabs!”

Words from the organizers and other speakers on the Quad at the flagpole with the bronze Bill of Rights plaques at the base:

Manny Abarca IV (D).

“No Kings”

“Keep your tiny hands off my social security”

“Liberty and Justice for All”

Trump don’t care about us”

300 people marching in Warrensburg, Missouri is something to behold. There are reports that several thousand individuals marched in Kansas City

Unaware of the concept of irony

“…The taxpayer dollar should not be funding propaganda.”

Mark Alford (r) [2025 file photo]

Congressman Mark Alford
[March 26, 2025]
Here’s the truth: NPR and PBS have gotten funding from the taxpayers and they’ve gone way too far to the Left.
The taxpayer dollar should not be funding propaganda.
[….]

Elmo think Mark Alford (r) is a Fascist putz.

There is much hilarity in the responses:

Republicans try to kill Sesame Street every few years.

I donate to PBS. But PBS also supports coverage of local issues, extensions of the Emergency Broadcast Network and many other functions I expect it to cover out of the taxes I pay.

What you call propaganda is what I call Americanism. The whole everyone created equal with the right to Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness.
Freedom to go or not to any church of their choice. All religions treated equally by the secular government.
No one telling you what book you can or cannot read. Who you can marry based on their religion not yours. Treating people the same regardless of their eye color , religion or where their ancestors came from.
PBS got in trouble when the black mailman soaked his feet in the tub of water with Mr Robert’s . At a time when public pools were being closed rather than allow blacks to swim in a pool with whites.
Those dam leftist and the woke agenda. Think of it people of all skin, hair and eye color swimming together. Better cut that funding we cannot have people actually following the words in our founding documents.

You’ve been screeching to high hell about “freedom of speech”. WHICH IS IT? Fascist.

Now you are trying to silence Sesame Street???

Bad combover. Check. Too long red tie. Check. Orange spray tan. Check. Tiny hands. Check. Cluelessness. Check. Conviction. Check.

Do you ever disagree with anything the President wants to do?

No. This has been another edition of Short Answers to Simple Questions.

That’s just stupidity… pbs provides fine programming for all. Quit trying to make everything political!!!

Give us an example of what you call propaganda. Downtown Abbey? Nova? Masterpiece Theater?

Facts have a well-known liberal bias.

Malarkey.
You can tell the difference between a public broadcast station and a commercial one: no medicines and no vehicles. Or toilet paper with bears.
As for the ā€œleft-ness,ā€ the Overton Window has moved so far Right that what used to be Eisenhower republicanism is now seen as allegedly ā€œfar left.ā€
Far left was the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), the Weathermen, the Symbionese Liberation Army. Kidnappings. Bombs.
Today, ā€œthe Leftā€ is pushing for saving Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, schools, school lunches, and other mechanisms for helping ordinary people.
So, I repeat, concerning public broadcasting and commercial stations: malarkey.

Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner.

How dare sesame street teach kids about love and inclusion.

Another sign of the new police state. Controlling the media.

Fascist pigs gotta Fascist pig.

Mr. Alford, when’s the next townhall Mondays with Mark?

Heh. Accountability.

You’d be more convincing if you spoke German and were filmed in Black and White.

Or, while wearing a gold Rolex watch. A short film directed by Leni Riefenstahl (March 27, 2025)

I love how you kiss his butt and never ever disagree. It’s almost like you have none of your own thoughts or opinions.

This is BS – leave it to Mark Alford to be as much of a tool as Josh Hawley. Pathetic lies – I doubt he even listens to PBS or Public Radio. They are about as middle of the road as you can get!!!

You sir are an idiot..PBS has some funding from government grants. Other than that they depend on individual donations

They are both reliable news sources. You don’t like them because they tell the truth.

PBS and NPR are exactly the kind of programs I would like my taxes to fund. Your constituents are not just right-wing, and it’s time you support more than just your own self interest.

You were a blow-hard as a news anchor, but you have really bottomed out as a representative.

Programming on PBS and NPR is probably a bit above your intelligence level, Mark. Better not criticize what you don’t understand.

Yep Antique’s Roadshow is just pushing it too far. [….]

Chairs and table – surrender to end the Civil War on April 9, 1865, at Wilmer McLean’s home in Appomattox Court House, Virginia. National Museum of American History.

It reminds right wingnuts of sad times.

Taxpayer dollars should not be funding your salary. I’d rather give it to PBS and NPR.

Mark Alford. You are WRONG.

They haven’t gone to the left. The right keeps moving the goal post.
I grew up Republican. I have had many Republicans from the days of old tell me that the Republican party is dead. This is something else. This is something evil. True Republicans do not support what is happening in our nation now.

No, ya’ll have gone way too far to the right. Beyond the right to helping no one and becoming total hypocrites.

Teaching history is way too far left. Wouldn’t want anyone to know how bad the good ol boys really were! They are exactly the same today.

This guy is worried about Sesame Street while our fearless dipshit bros are texting minute to minute military plans with a journalist. But yes, big bird is the problem. FFS.

Antiques Roadshow…..woke???? Who knew?

I guess when you’re sliding further right, those in the middle will always appear to be going further left

Overton Window.

Isn’t that what you are doing?

Ding, ding, ding. We have another winner.

Will this topic be discussed at a town hall meeting soon?

We see what you did there.

I wonder what Fred Rogers would say to the lot of you today. Helpers you are not.

What about Signalgate? What’s your stance on that? Should we be funding idiots who don’t know how to do their jobs?

It’s incredibly bold of you to describe NPR programming content as propaganda when you are a member of a political party that gets all it’s “news” from Fox News.

“Faux News channel, fascist groupies” – protest sign, circa 2003- 2004.

Clearly you have not spent much time actually watching PBS. My 87-year-old mother watches shows about sewing and animals and antiques. She does not have cable or streaming services. My children watched wholesome educational shows. PBS provides free, educational, family friendly programming for all ages and it is highly valuable to many taxpayers in this country. You are the extremist here. I wish you realized how ridiculous and oppressive and brainwashed you sound.

So Sesame Street is a problem now!!!??

I guess Russian state TV is where we’re headed.

“Make America Great Again” – in Russian.

Every time I see Mark Alford’s face I just know some stupid shit is about to fall out his face hole.

There’s that.

Don’t make an enemy of Big Bird.

Too late.

The total amount of federal funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting is approximately $1.59 a year per person in the United States. $1.59 is roughly equivalent to what the government reimburses a U.S. Representative to drive 2.3 miles.

You really are just a pretty face, aren’t you.

Mark Alford (r) [2023 file photo].

This is what dictators do. Too bad the magats (not republicans, Trump voters specifically) don’t understand what’s happening because they refuse to study history.

Why didn’t you tell people in Nevada that our Social Security office is closing?

What a crock of shit

You’re a Republican. You are unable to speak the truth.

Project 2025 rides again. Silence the masses, brainwash.

They aren’t left. They are middle of the road and honest.
MAGA has gotten so far extreme right right you don’t recognize that.

Can you send this message out in a Signal group chat… we’re not really sure what you’re getting at? Make sure to be inclusive though, so everyone knows Elmo is a National Security threat.

Elmo see what you did there. Elmo sad.

Please explain this at your town hall

Shut up Mark. This isn’t going to lower prices or
Create jobs. This is a distraction

Jesus Christ, you’re an embarrassment.

Mark Alford (r) [2024 file photo].

Do you suffer from fantasy & delusions, or do you enjoy them? Your creditability is worthless.

The truth is, you are being paid with our taxes, and you are doing nothing to help us, your constituents. You won’t even face us in person. You are part of the most worthless do-nothing Congress in history. You are participating in the end of the American experiment in democracy, and you either don’t even realize it, or you are being purposely complicit.

Ah yes, NPR and PBS the terrifying propaganda machines known for fact-checking, nature documentaries, and Big Bird. Meanwhile, you’re fine with billions in tax breaks for oil companies and funding for actual partisan disinformation. If balanced reporting sounds ā€˜too far left’ to you, maybe the problem isn’t the media it’s your comfort zone being facts optional.

NPR and PBS are primarily funded by corporate sponsors and private donors and provide education, the arts, independent news, and a host of quality programming. The party of the poorly educated needs to keep its base angry and ignorant to stay in power. You’re a disgrace and a liar, Mark.

NPR and PBS are about as centrist as it gets. If you see them as ā€œleftā€ … just how far right must you be?

I have a suggestion for you ….shut the f#ck before you look like a puppet

Too late.

“…must be the hypocrites a turnin’ back.”

Eric Schmitt (r) [2024 file photo].

Suppose you were Eric Schmidt (r), suppose you were a fucking idiot. But I repeat myself.

Eric Schmitt
[March 26, 2025]
Ignore the manufactured media outrage. These are the same people who spent four years telling you that a President who couldn’t even put a sentence together was a 180 IQ super-genius.
[….]

Some of the responses:

you’ve got that deflection game down. now how about you hold a town hall so we can talk to you? we’ve got questions. we deserve answers. you work for us in missouri, all of us.

We all have heard Trump speak …sharks and windmills … and the YMCA. We all see that he doesn’t know the difference between truth and lies. Why do you project so much?

Own it Eric! You voted to confirm every single one of these people. You knew they weren’t qualified but yet you voted for them anyway. There were 100’s of qualified Republicans that could have filled these cabinet positions. Yet, you chose the cowards way out.

Senator Schmitt, the outrage isn’t manufactured, it is sincere. The outrage is especially sincere among those of us who are veterans and who were trained to protect classified materials: locked doors, closed safes, SCIFs, burn barrels, shredders, logs of copies made, the (now outdated) STU phones. Some of us were serious about it, and still have an interest in being as informationally safe as possible.
The amateurish method of communication among the participants in the ā€œchat,ā€ and the addition of an uncleared outside party, indicate a lack of training and talent for their jobs.
As for pointing out Mr. Biden’s work to overcome a stutter, if all you have is an insult, that just shows that ā€œthere’s no there, thereā€ concerning your allegation.

Trump can’t put a sentence together. Have you listened to him really??? Broad generalities, calling people names, not really saying anything that means anything. Everything he does he says is the “greatest in the history of America.” He doesn’t even make good sense.

Way to downplay a major f up by this circus administration. Grow a spine and hold your party accountable.

Your behavior is disappointing, but expected. Does Trump have some dirt on you?
It’s good to see a few Republicans have some integrity and are voicing concerns about the security violations. But again our Missouri senators are not among them, as usual.

It is one thing to make a mistake and this was a big one! But Hagseth lying about it and blaming the reporter for misinformation is downright unforgivable! He is a joke, hold him accountable!

Is it too much to ask that EVERYONE that mishandles sensitive information be held accountable? There is no room for whataboutism when it comes to national security.

* IOKIYAR

Manufactured media outrage? The journalist mistakenly added to a group chat shows receipts…that would be exposing MAGA incompetence.

If they didn’t attack I would have been like ok…the Dems are reaching. But it was a real attack and a real leak on that platform. You might want to reign the secretary of defense a tad, maybe get him some help with his drinking. That seems a little like a mistaken drunk text. Maybe sit him down and have a little intervention. Get him some of the help he may need.

Stop telling us to ignore what we can see and read with our own eyes Senator. Stay on point of the issue instead of trying to deflect blame.

You, sir, obviously don’t value the lives of the service members carrying out this mission. You are a disgrace as a Senator when you can turn a blind eye to a blatant mishandling of highly sensitive information.

You know you guys would break out the pitch forks if anyone from the last administration had a group chat leaked because they added someone from altantic in.

This guy wouldn’t know the truth if it was wrapped around his head

Here it’s all about Biden. He had nothing to do with the leak. trying to blame the other guy. His name wasnt in the comments. Grow up.

You should demand their resignations. Do you have the ability and knowledge to recognize how serious this is. A breach in national security that indicates the incompetence of the people in the highest positions. People who you voted to approve. Do your job. Protect this country.

“Š Š¾ŃŃŠøя” (Russia) – a variant of the Russian presidential flag.

Your mouth is moving, but you’re not saying anything.

ā€œHEY, ignore that, look over here!!!ā€

Are you kidding? We the people want to speak with you in person – when is your town hall?

Drinking the trump juice

If you don’t see what is wrong then you are just as much of a problem as they are.

Oddly, I haven’t heard an intelligent, factual sentence come from the Oval Office since January. šŸ¤”

Bad combover. Check. Too long red tie. Check. Orange spray tan. Check. Tiny hands. Check. Cluelessness. Check. Conviction. Check.

You are on the wrong side of this, Eric. But then again, you are always on the wrong side.

Breaking laws is ok for Republicans and putting soldiers lives in danger. Hegseth needs to be held accountable or no one in the military will be able to be held accountable.

Your failure to acknowledge the seriousness of this situation is alarming. Missouri deserves better.

And yet, here we are.

I expect my Senator to represent me not the wandering thoughts of Trump. Remember, three equal branches of government not an excuse making branch. Do your job, the Senate means more than either Missouri Senators are willing to do. Sacrifices are part of the job description. Trump is ruining this country don’t be part of it.

Too late.

May I suggest that you use your energy to investigate the security breach that put our service members’ lives at risk. I plead with you to take a strong stance against this most recent security breach. I was entrusted with the highest level clearance in my 35 career, and the information shared via a publicly available app did in fact jeopardize our service members carrying out that mission and violates procedures for handling Unclassified information. This would have been a reportable incident regardless of the information classification as information was shared with an outsider. Anyone who has any k level of access should know the ā€œwith a need to knowā€ provision of any information, including unclassified information. If you truly support service members, then please do what is morally appropriate and take a stand to hold these individuals, particularly Secretary Hegseth, accountable for this irresponsible and reckless conduct and blatant and inexcusable mishandling of information.

Please tell members of the military that this is no big deal. Tell anyone with a security clearance that this is no big deal. I know this is a big deal because I can read, not because the media is talking about it.

Republican propaganda is hilarious šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

You are very disappointing senator. Most of his nominees were completely unqualified yet you confirmed them anyway. You need to put country above party, you took an oath. You also need to represent ALL of your constituents, not just those that think like you.

No it’s not overplayed. This cabinet doesn’t know the meaning of confidential information. And they need to be accountable for their actions. The fact that your saying this tells me you don’t understand confidential information which is pretty scary. Stop making excuses for them. It’s not okay!

You are an embarrassment to Missouri. You don’t care what your constituents think you don’t care about Americans all you care about is sucking up to Trump. You knew these people weren’t qualified for the positions, but you let it happen. You actually voted for their confirmation. You make me sick.

Dude, get a grip. Focus on what this administration did- anyone can see that calling what happened “a mistake” is using seriously bad judgement. The lack of accountability and responsibility is what guarantees it will happen again.

My outrage is real. Stop gaslighting and do your job. You look ridiculous right now.

My outrage is not manufactured, it is warranted with the egregious lapse in security protocols. But the perjuries, obstruction, slander and misrepresentation that have come after are more outrageous than the actual incident. Have the moral fortitude to stand up to the lies!

Poor pitiful idjut !

Please forgive Eric, he’s an idiot.

Hey intern: tell your boss “It’s our turn to make horrendous security blunders” isn’t the winning argument he thinks it is.
It’s not too late: you can still salvage your own integrity.

Heh.

Empty suit.

Eh. You actually think all of this is going to end well for you and yours, but when you’ve fleeced your entire constituency on behalf of wcn and the wannabe oligarchs, it won’t be rosy. I realize you think you’re winning at the moment, but you can only push your heels against throats for so long before they fight back. It’s a shame what you’re doing. Jesus would be flipping your desk over if he were here.

When is your next town hall?

This was a security breach and you are making light of it. The media outrage is not manufactured. Look at the comments on this page to know that your constituents have serious concerns.

Do you always feel compelled to lie?

How do those boots taste, Eric?

Riiighht. Cause that makes what Waltz, Hegseth, Gabbard and the other clowns mess up totally OK. Another gaslight attempt. Nice try Schmitt.

I guess you’re not the buck stops here kind of guy. More like pass the buck.

And what does Biden’s speech impediment have to do with trumps administration? Typical right wing extremist, always trying to deflect and distract with what-aboutisms.

Because Eric Schmitt (r) is an asshole.

You are a pathetic excuse for a senator.

Manufactured outrage? You sir should be outraged and appalled. Texting sensitive information. Unbelievable and unforgivable. Hegsath & all are very lucky that none of the men & women involved in this mission were compromised. This is not about Biden – so quit deflecting. This is about the incompetence of the Trump administration and all the obviously unqualified people our congress (that is you sir) approved to chair these critically important departments. Please do your job. Maybe list 5 things a week you do to help ALL the citizens of Missouri- not just your friends.

You poor little bootlicker.

It’s so embarrassing that you would actually post this.

What kind of dirt do they have on you? You have zero integrity!!

Wow, you are a disgrace.

Well, you’re obviously not a super genius (nor does it appear anyone in the current administration).
However, had someone from the Biden or Obama administration done what PH did, we would already be hearing accusations of treason and cries for a firing squad.
Everybody makes mistakes? Yes, but not every mistake can be overlooked.
There have been military personnel from MISSOURI put in danger because of this mistake. Take your brown nose out the crack in chief and stand up for your constituents and their families

What a load of horseshit. Have you heard your grifter in chief ramble? What a clown 🤔 show

ā€œ…it means just what I choose it to mean—neither more nor less…ā€

You Sir, are pathetic. Your willingness to lie in order to cover up the lies of others really tells us all we need to know about your total lack of a moral and ethical base.
Shame on you.

Stop excusing, supporting and demonstrating poor, dangerous, incompetent and destructive leadership. Your propaganda is stomach turning. This present federal government that you have the opportunity to stand up to is breaking our country. Do better.

I think Trump has a diminished mental state. What are you gonna do about that?

Nazis hate the truth and will spin anything.
Integrity doesn’t exist with Fascists.
It’s always ā€˜what about this? What about that?’
Never answering questions. Never addressing direct statements. Or at best blatantly lying when they do.
Deflect. Deflect. Deflect. Cowards, each and every one.
You, Eric Schmitt, are an absolute embarrassment of a human being.

How much did your castration cost the taxpayers, you ball less puppet?

OPSEC violations endanger American troops you lousy buttwipe.

The outrage isn’t ā€œmanufacturedā€ – it’s 100% authentic.
You are an embarrassment to Americans.

You are such a VICTIM

Never ever trust a goddam republican. If their mouth is moving they’re lying their ass off.

You’re a liar and a disgrace. You must hold your constituents in deep contempt to spout some obvious gaslighting garbage like this.
Is your social media minion a 4 year-old?

No, just a Fascist toady, A four year-old would write better.

You can’t possibly be stupid enough to believe what you said.

He is.

You’re a gaslighting moron feeding chum to the ignorant.

That one left a mark, Mark.

Mark,
I retired from intelligence work in 2016 as a member of the Army. Secretary Hegseth is wrong. In my experience, those plans about he strikes, and the end results of what they saw, would at the very least be SECRET//NOFORN until after the press releases were ready. The finer details would still be kept classified.
Please exert your Article II powers and ensure the classification regulations and laws are followed. Concerns would be the following:
1.) Adversary nations would potentially be able to break the encryption on Signal, as has been done before. This could provide early warning/detection to targets we do not want to have it.
2.) Acknowledging our TTPs through unclassified/unsecured networks also helps to develop enemy countermeasures to how we conduct operations.
3.) Personnel assigned to these groups may be targeted by hostile intelligence services looking for information to complete our operational picture.

Hey Mark –
Ya’ll are supposed to be about ‘transparency’, right? So curious as to why ol Tulsi wouldn’t even admit she was in the chat when questioned? Why did Hegseth say there was no chat before getting busted on it?
I mean if there is nothing there, why lie in the first place and look like incompetent cover up artists? Why the hell are they using unofficial ways to communicate (and that deletes records of the conversations) and who was the braniac who invited the journalist into the chat – the same journalist that Hegseth and company are now trying to demonize for their own mistake?
You can try to downplay this all you want and just continue churning out what you’re told to say like a good little sheep – but the people are seeing things they don’t care for – and much of it is super hypocritical.
People won’t forget

Alford, did you even read the transcript?
Hegseth is a known alcoholic, a liar and a hypocrite. He fits in well with trump. How can you not be irate and demanding the truth from this joke of a regime? Would you be reacting if the Biden admin ha done this. Give us, we, the people, an honest answer for once.

How Pete Hegseth Signal group chat reacted to war plans. How Pete Hegseth Signal group chat reacted to war plans leak
White House National Security Advisor Michael Waltz: “Team – establishing a principles group for coordination on Houthis, particularly for over the next 72 hours. My deputy Alex Wong is pulling together a tiger team at deputies/agency Chief of Staff level following up from the meeting in the Sit Room this morning for action items and will be sending that out later this evening.
“Pls provide the best staff POC [point of contact] from your team for us to coordinate with over the next couple days and over the weekend. Thx.”
There’s your target.

Wasn’t the group chat named Houthi PC small group or something like that? And Hegseth listed off times and what was happening at those times?
If this had been something done during the last administration, I’m pretty sure you’d have a different response.

Bingo!

Deflect much? Real shame to see “military supporters” downplaying this idiotic mess. They ALL screwed up big time. Most of us expected something but 2 months in was quite the achievement. But go ahead and double down, per usual.

Regardless of the content it should not have been sent to the journalist. If you appoint incompetent people you get incompetence.

Stop acting like this wasn’t news or a serious security breach. Hegseth is woefully under qualified and his response shows it.

Sounds like a cover up!

Dancing around the Facts! Classifed or not (1) use of an unsecured app. (2) The National Security Agency sent out an operational security special bulletin to its employees in February 2025 warning them of vulnerabilities in using the encrypted messaging application Signal.
A question: Was this the only time any member of the used Signal? A full investigation is warrented of each participants to determine previous security and disclosure abuse.

So tired of unqualified people in highly sensitive positions screwing up, putting real Americans in danger, trying to lie their way out of it and other Republicans misleading Americans about the truth. Trump doesn’t love you Mr. Alford. He will turn on you in a Russion red minute.

Funny you should mention Russia.

“Make America Great Again” – in Russian.

Wasn’t the journalist added on the the group by a staffer of Mr Waltz? If so why, where did he get it, if anyone needs to go I’d think it would be him after explaining what happened.

Stop sticking up for those living aƗƗholes

In 25 years of covering national security, I’ve never seen a story like this: Senior Trump officials discussed planning for the U.S. attack on Yemen in a Signal group–and inadvertently added the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic.
