Off topic social media responses to Mark Alford (r):

You should have voted to expell. The congressional committee heard evidence and made a recommendation. That is all the due process the crook needed.

Thank you for voting to save openly gay Congressman Santos. The homosexual agenda is under attack and you are a hero. 😉

Sarcasm, you think?

Rehashing old X posts is weak. People want to know why you voted against removing Santos.

Mark Alford voted NO on the Santos vote.
Santos is facing 23 felony accounts, is well known for lying even at the most insignificant of things and yet 112 republicans voted to keep him in his job. How far has the GOP fallen.
FYI for the ‘he’s not convicted’ argument: todays vote was not a criminal proceeding. Innocent until proven guilty doesn’t apply here. How many people reading this comment would expect their coworker, who was accused of similar crimes, to remain employed?

Where are all of the tributes to Henry Kissinger? Did the GOP “cancel” him?

You voted to save Santos because people with questionable character stick together. Shame on you.

they needed his vote and his seat will likely go to a democrat because the republican led Congress is a chaotic clown show.

Alford voted No to expel Santos.
The other day when Santos said if they kick him out it will set a bad precedent I about fell off my chair. What precedent would that be? Kicking lying scumbags out of government? Shouldn’t that be the goal?

Some GOP leaders say Republican Santos ‘lied’ about career and Jewish heritage
Updated December 27, 20229:14 PM ET

Congressman-elect George Santos from New York now acknowledges he misled voters about big parts of his life story before winning a seat on Long Island last month.

[….]

During the campaign, Santos described graduating from Baruch College, said he worked for Goldman Sachs and claimed to own valuable real estate properties.

He now acknowledges none of that is true. He also admits his claim that four of his employees died in the 2016 Pulse night club shooting in Orlando, Fla., was false.

[….]

A growing number of critics, including some in the Republican Party, say Santos’ outright lied when he claimed to be “a proud Jewish American” and said members of his family escaped the Holocaust.

“His story about having Holocaust heritage and Ukrainian heritage, I just don’t see any evidence to support it in his family tree,” Megan Smolenyak, a forensic genealogist who examined Santos’ family records, said in an interview with NPR.

In a statement Monday, the Republican Jewish Coalition said Santos “deceived us and misrepresented his heritage.”

[….]

What a schmuck.

George Santos (r) should feel at home in the new republican majority in the U.S. House of Representatives.
