The Boone County Democratic Central Committee held a picnic fundraiser in Cosmo-Bethel Park on Sunday afternoon in Columbia.
State Representatives Martha Stevens (D-46) addressed the crowd:
…I’m really optimistic that its [Medicaid expansion lawsuit] gonna go in our favor and that the courts are gonna tell Republicans that we have to follow the Constitution that voters put in for Medicaid expansion last August. Because we know that that is a win for every community in our state. So that people have access to preventative health cares, so that we have healthy communities, healthy parents, and it’s a job creator…
