Today:

Congressman Mark Alford
[September 16, 2025]

Accountability is non-negotiable.
Those who celebrate political violence do not belong anywhere near students or the classroom.
Paid leave is unacceptable. They should be fired.
[….]

Some of the responses:

Are you sure they celebrated or just commented?
Does trump get fired fir telling a crowd to beat up a man and throw him outside without a coat in minus 10 degree weather?
Let’s have some Grace.
Let’s everyone step back and tone it down. No calls for violence and no celebrations of school shootings.
The next political violence condem it.
FYI . Not too late to condemn 6 Jan, the attack on Pelosi, the Governor of Pennsylvania, the planned attack on the Michigan governor, the Muder of the Minnesota legislator or the violence that Kile Rettinor was involved in.
When you call out one but not everyone it sounds untrue.
And yes I condemned the attack on the congressional baseball teams and the attempts on trump.
Stop all school shootings and political violence.

MA stay in your lane, obviously you have not read all of his beliefs or you surely would not post that.

So should you, yet here we are 🤷🏽‍♀️

I thought republicans were against cancel culture?

it’s OK when they do it.

He was killed on camera. No one’s family deserves to have to witness that. It’s unthinkably cruel that people would then go on the internet and use their platform to say about an innocent man that “I don’t care that he’s dead.”
“He’s not a hero.” “He’s a scumbag.”
“He shouldn’t be celebrated.”
I’m talking about George Floyd. You thought I was talking about Charlie Kirk? No, those are actual quotes BY Charlie Kirk about George Floyd.
Outrageous that anyone would say that of the dead, right?

cancel culture and “f” your feelings crowd sure are going against their beliefs…

Nothing about this situation violates the school’s policies, and you publicly calling for their termination is unacceptable. These two staff members shared posts on their own time, on private pages. They were not public posts, not shared with students, and not brought into the classroom. Our district has systems in place, like classroom observations, performance evaluations, compliance checks, and other accountability measures to ensure staff professionalism. There is no evidence that any line was crossed in school, and certainly no “celebration” of someone’s death. Yet the pitchforks have already come out: first coming for the counselor, then the teacher, then the superintendent, board members, and now even another principal. This is dangerous behavior from people who don’t know these two incredible individuals, don’t understand our school policies, and do not understand our First Amendment rights.

I read what they wrote. No one was celebrating anything. They were stating their opinion.

They should be gone.

So, you’re in favor of cancel culture this week?

are you politely, as you clutch your pearls, choosing specific words, hoping your dog whistle calls up a mad dog? How cute.

Please continue to tell the truth and put the good word out on Jesus Christ 🙏 Unashamed in his glory. Stay safe Congressman Mark Alford and the good people who believe in rightousness. Pray for the world 🌎🙏

Did they use school resources?
Post on school time?
Attach their school issued credentials?
If so, fine. Fire them.
If not, then leave them the hell alone and start holding yourself, your staff, your party and your people to the same standard of behavior and accountabilities.
“First clean the inside of the cup,” if you will.

You are so right. If evil is celebrated we have lost all sense of humanity.
The left bashes us because we didn’t equally react to the Hortmans horrific murders. But it’s certainly not because it doesn’t affect us and you don’t see us celebrating it.
Both are equally horrible but Charlie was in our living rooms day after day and we KNEW him. We Saw His brutal assassination.
THE FACT THAT THE LEFT IS Celebrating OR MAKING EXCUSES IS SICKENING.

Where to begin?

Show us an example of the left “celebrating” his death. A REAL example.
NOBODY I know is celebrating his death. We are merely REPEATING his OWN WORDS back to you all and saying that he was indeed a hateful, bigoted, racist, misogynistic jerk…and, you all consider that to be “celebrating.”

he twisted the teachings of Jesus to suit his needs. And you welcomed him into your home. There are no “celebrations,” going on. Those that don’t believe the way You do are NOT evil.
Just look at the actual words of ck concerning the vicious attack on Paul Pelosi, the Hartman murder and his despicable comments concerning the slaughter of children, he suggests execution of LBGTQ and his vile words concerning POC.
And you worship him?! Thats the problem. Not a democrat wanting fully funded public education, food assistance to Everyone that needs food, Healthcare as a Right, strong infrastructure, affordable and safe housing, a living wage, support Unions, to protect and preserve the environment and wants Equal Rights, Civil Rights, Human Rights for ALL. Last I knew, Jesus supported those things, actually TOLD his followers to help, welcome, feed, clothe, house, heal and Love others.

Probably not attributable to Gandhi.

You should be fired.

I researched every aspect of this issue, including going to the “So Informed” social media page to find and read EXACTLY the post that these teachers forwarded ( which, by the way, they later deleted). This post did not celebrate or advocate political violence even though it shared a point of view about the character (based on Charlie Kirk’s own words) of Charlie Kirk which many people also share. This post was quick to state empathy for Charlie Kirk’s wife and children and voiced the wish for all of our children to grow up to live in a country that values their lives enough to take gun violence seriously.
This is Freedom of Speech. The same Freedom of Speech that President Trump used when (without any evidence) immediately accused the so-called Democratic left for this despicable act of violence. In the days since then it has basically been proven that the murdere was influenced by a radical group that thinks the so-called Republican right is actually not radically “right wing” enough and not the “left” at all.
Stop this rhetoric. Stop creating more animosity than there already is!!!

I have yet to see anybody that celebrating his death. I see more people trying to make a martyr out of a bigot. The problem is if people speak out and point out that he really wasn’t as christ-like as the right is trying to make him then they’re being punished. It’s ridiculous

Careful clutching your pearls.

Cancel culture for me, but not for thee. What a hypocrite? How does his idiot keep getting elected?

Americans are busy hating each other when we could just tax the rich and solve 90% of our problems.

Shhhh.

The ‘fuck your feelings’ crowd sure is butthurt these days…

Cracker Barrel ruined their lives.

I didn’t realize we were in the midst of thought police, Marky Mark.

Once again, NICE JOB UNITING EVERYONE, ASSHOLE ALFORD.

You’re an embarrassment.

Our children deserve better than to fear being shot in schools. But that’s been a non-starter for decades (thanks, Alford).

[….] Speaking of celebrating political violence, didn’t Charlie suggest that somebody should bail out the man who beat Paul Pelosi on the head with a hammer? Mark, did you forget? Should Charlie have been near students?

Yes, yes he did. He also facilitated several busses for the J6 insurrectionists to travel to D.C. that day.

So you can’t even criticize someone without some snowflakes trying to get you fired? Neat.

Here’s Alford again stoking the fire after he goes on TV and pretends he wants to lower the temperatures

Im not celebrating, and I haven’t seen a single celebration being held.
What I do see are people like you Congressman Mark Alford, acting like ck was some national hero. He is, was not. He twisted the words in the Bible, the words of Jesus, to fit his needs. He used his twisted rhetoric to spread hate, division, racism, misogynistic views, and enriched himself off the pain he caused.
And I wont waste a drop of empathy on him, he wouldn’t want that afterall.

Freedom of speech is only free if you agree with it, right ?

??? Did they violate an existing school or district policy on politics ? If so, they should be reprimanded, if not they should be protected under the First Amendment as this was not done while in the school setting. Calm down, people who disagree with your opinion may open dialogue and insight if hostility is removed. Controversial subjects should not lead to violence. I read the full post I did not see where there was celebration of violence, lack of empathy, yes.

Repeating Kirk’s words are getting people in trouble? That should tell you something.

On their private pages no doubt?
So fascists, like Congressman Mark Alford, get to lie and gaslight every day on their pages—paid for by us taxpayers—while people who work in Missouri schools with our children get punished for telling the truth?

If his own words didn’t concern you, you got a problem.

Republicans are what they hate.
They represent Charlie Kirk’s version of free speech, also known as White privilege.

To take the side of a xenophobe, racist, sexist, bigot over the First Amendment is fascist to the core.

Weaponizing much…

Gestapo

Today:

Congressman Mark Alford
[September 15, 2025]
We are in a spiritual battle for the soul of our nation.
Praying that we can all put on the full armor of God and come together to create something good following the shocking assassination of Charlie Kirk.
[….]

Wait, what was MAGA all about?

Just asking.

Some of the responses to Mark Alford (r):

You want an army. I want universal healthcare and a living wage for all. We are not the same.

those are democrats socialist ideas. Government will take all of your paychecks and take care of your needs and desires

Well, that settles it. Corporations do that now. Oh, wait…

where do you want your tax dollars spent?
On healthcare in your community or on corporate subsidies and endless wars?
You already know where there being spent now and you’ll argue against helping your own community. Ludicrous.

I thought you were taking a break from social media to cool the temperature?

narcissists need the attention

the nation founded with no state religion?
read your American history Alford

How about you read your Bible.

How about you read your Bill of Rights.

Read your Constitution.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion….”

What is so shocking about this shooting? Is it because people thought this can’t happen to him? Or because he wasn’t a kid in a school?
Let’s be honest here: we aren’t about to do anything about guns, and we will only see more shootings. We all lose, but in the end, God wins. So I guess there’s that.
But MAN do I wonder what might happen if we has less guns, instead of more.
Don’t yell at me, I know that will never happen. 😪

It’s ridiculous that some of you think taking away gun rights will stop EVIL PEOPLE! It’s won’t, no law ever has!

Uh…

but guns are so much more efficient than other weapons. It happens so fast. I have two kids in school, and one who isn’t even in school yet, and I worry about this every day.
But again, don’t come at me, because I know nothing will change. It’s just the price we pay, for your “freedoms”.
I hate guns, and if I could, I would take them all away from everyone.

if there were only some evidence that a reasonable amount of gun control would curb mass shootings… oh wait, there is! The entire rest of the world!
Keep your head buried in the sand.

Same planet, different world:

oh bullshit look at Canada now they took away their guns and now the illegals are there with illegal guns shooting up the place cut me a break

“…The U.S. has the 28th-highest rate of deaths from gun violence in the world: 4.31 deaths per 100,000 people in 2021. That was more than seven times as high as the rate in Canada, which had 0.57 deaths per 100,000 people — and about 340 times higher than in the United Kingdom, which had 0.013 deaths per 100,000….” How the U.S. gun violence death rate compares with the rest of the world

Let’s look at UK girls and women are getting raped and abused and they can’t even protect himself not allowed to protect himself and if you dare you’re the one that goes to jail somewhere Common Sense went out the door will you people I have 14 grandchildren all of them but two in school so I care about the schools too there needs to be armed guard at schools just like Banks and a lot of other places

oh honey. Turn off FOX, please.

Turning point was Charlie Kirk’s personal ministry.

you mean where he made millions of dollars for himself that kind of ministry?

Grifters gotta grift.

God Bless you Congressman Mark Alford I’ve never seen such an awakening in my life 🕯️God is truly winning✝️Rest in Paradise Charlie Kirk👣

So … over 20 million stripped of health care which means 55,000 people will die every year that don’t have to; $1.3 trillion in SNAP stripped from the mouths of seniors, children, and the poor; 80,000 medical professionals elminated from the VA, which will kill and maim how many vets – all of this Mark Alford voted for and cheerleads on. How “Christian” of you to consider all of these things that will kill people as “God is truly winning”.

JDVance just recited Ephesians 6 and putting on the full armor of God 🙏🏻

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion….”

The Twilight Zone was so prophetic.

Idiocracy (2006) was not supposed to be a documentary.

If you have to keep telling everyone someone was a good man, here is something to ponder.
We know that he wasn’t.

Drop the religion. Religion divides more than it unifies. Even Christians can’t totally agree on one interpretation. No deity required.
Pray all you like, but yes, unity. Harmony.

Mark just doesn’t seem to get it.

Death penalties should be public, should be quick, it should be televised. I think at a certain age, its an initiation…What age should you start to see public executions?
– Charlie Kirk
Ask yourself how you feel about televised public executions. Would you show them to your children?

Why aren’t you THIS frustrated and sad when school children are gunned down?
Your adoration for this person is just really mental. Really, this is sickening.

You sure attract all the godless demonic trolls on your page Congressman Mark Alford

Does your Bible not contain the verses about loving thy neighbor?

Hey, Mark, as Trump says about murdered school children…”we have to get over it, we have to move forward.”
Don’t you always listen to and do what he says?

Maybe condemn Trump’s constant vile rhetoric?

Interesting to claim battle for the soul of the nation when your god in the White House has broken every single one of the Ten Commandments, from adultery, to lying, to coveting, to intentionally killing people needlessly. The idea that Charlie Kirk was a saint could only be believed by someone who holds open racist and sexist views. He literally said Black women like Ketanji Brown Jackson, the SCOTUS Justice with more credentials than any other Justice in history, “lack brain power” and that white men should have had those jobs. He said some gun deaths are “necessary” or “acceptable” in order to keep the 2nd Amendment. You are preying on religious fears and raising someone with MANY flaws to undeserved martyr status. This is unacceptable. Go ahead and mourn him, since you share his views, but he is NOT an example of acting like Christ would have wanted.

Mark maybe you should be spending your time working for your constituents instead of glorifying someone who spread hate. I believe you promised Republicans would lower prices but everything is higher than ever and you’re crickets on that subject. You claim you want to unite but post constantly about a divisive topic several times a day.

The message is definitely not getting through, that’s for sure.

You are acting like he was some sort of prophet. He was just a man who spouted opinions, usually hateful and bigoted. But, you’re ready to canonize him.
WHERE IS THE GRIEF WHEN LITTLE SCHOOLCHILDREN ARE MURDERED????
And, by the way…the HATRED AND VIOLENCE IS COMING FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE….YOUR HOUSE. MAGAs.

Kirk was filled with hate and divisiveness. Start with those that also hated others.

You nazis celebrating a hater that spews division and white supremacy isn’t getting any of you reelected.

The trick is to hide the armbands and modify the salutes. Usually.

Trumps job as President is to unite this country. He even said so after he won.
But he’s doing the opposite.
Trump is trying to do. january 6 against the left. He’s riling up the nut jobs to attack anyone he doesn’t like.
Trump wants a civil war and the cult will oblige

Alford’s last 6 posts have been regarding Charlie Kirk. Congressman, maybe you should spend a little time working for MO-4.

Alford will milk this all week. Wait and see.

And Kirks view that empathy is a made up woke word.
He never really read the Bible did he?

Read what Kirk the “Christian” said about people he did not agree with. The names he called. The implication that black women didn’t have the mental capacity to do the same job as a white man. The things he said about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
“Christians” do not call other people names or put them down.
“Christians” love thy neighbor and do not seek revenge.

yes they do then afterwards they pray……for forgiveness.

Sir, if I want a sermon I will go to my own pastor for guidance. You were not elected to be a spiritual leader, you were elected to uphold the constitution. Please stay in your lane.

Live your life so that you’re not fêted by cable news networks as “the great moderate” when you pass away.

Comfort the afflicted, afflict the comfortable.

Break some crockery.

Insistent moderation for the sake of moderation in a time of existential threats to Democracy is no virtue.

One Hundred Years of Reagantube: Remembering Reagan In Dumb Videos

Oh can you believe it was only a hundred years ago when Ronald Reagan was born? Which side of the Civil War did he fight on, anyway? (Answer: He didn’t fight at all, but he was an extra at the Ford Theater the night Lincoln was shot, and later claimed to have played the role of Robert E. Lee in James Joyce’s movie Ulysses S. Grant.) Oh, also, back in the 1980s when Ronald Reagan was actually serving as president in some weird state of constant incapacitation? Everybody thought he was a moron. Most Republicans didn’t even support him during the regular lows of his disastrous two terms. He also didn’t defeat the Soviet Union – they ran out of money on their own, just like we’ve done here in America in the past 10 years, in the exact same Central Asian country. But Ronald Reagan did delight America with his constant, idiotic appearances on film and television. Let’s remember the empty suit who led us to a Promised Land of Fox News, Tax Cuts for Multi-Billionaires and the deliberate dismantling of what had been the world’s smartest, most prosperous society in the History of the World….

The Rude Pundit:

2/04/2011

Nine (or So) Ways to Celebrate the Centennial of Ronald Reagan:

….1. Go to Best Buy and max out your credit cards on the most extravagant, useless shit you can find, like 3-D TVs and smart phones that you can implant in your brain so you can only think in Google searches and text messages. Make sure it’s expensive. Then, when you’re tens of thousands of dollars in debt, make sure you die so that your kids have to pay for all of it.

2. If you’re pissed off at your neighbor, but he’s an ex-boxer, go to the local day care center and kick the asses of the children there. Declare that you win, even if no one knows what you were fighting for.

3. Do the following to the local homeless people: Take their coats and shoes. Punch them repeatedly in the stomach. Give crack to their kids. Pawn their shopping cart of possessions. Give the money to the richest family in town. When a homeless woman asks for a coat because it’s cold, accuse her of being both lazy and a thief. And set her war-vet husband on fire….

And, the republican dominated Missouri General Assembly:

FIRST REGULAR SESSION

House Concurrent Resolution No. 14

96TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY

INTRODUCED BY REPRESENTATIVES JONES (89) (Sponsor), NANCE, BAHR, POLLOCK, FRANZ, ASBURY, FRANKLIN, WYATT, STREAM, THOMSON, ALLEN, JONES (117), CURTMAN, CRAWFORD, WHITE, DUGGER, SHUMAKE, DAVIS, HIGDON, BURLISON, DIECKHAUS, LEARA, SCHAD, DAY, BROWN (85), HAEFNER, KELLEY (126), HOUGHTON AND MOLENDORP (Co-sponsors).

0794L.01I

WHEREAS, President Ronald Wilson Reagan, a man of humble background, worked throughout his life serving freedom and advancing the public good, having been employed as an entertainer, Union leader, corporate spokesman, Governor of California, and President of the United States; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Reagan served with honor and distinction for two terms as the 40th President of the United States of America, the second of which he earned the confidence of 60% of the electorate and was victorious in 49 of the 50 states in the general election – a record unsurpassed in the history of American presidential elections; and

WHEREAS, in 1981, when Ronald Reagan was inaugurated President, he inherited a disillusioned nation shackled by rampant inflation and high unemployment; and

WHEREAS, during Mr. Reagan’s presidency, he worked in a bipartisan manner to enact his bold agenda of restoring accountability and common sense to government which led to an unprecedented economic expansion and opportunity for millions of Americans; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Reagan’s commitment to an active social policy agenda for the nation’s children helped lower crime and drug use in our neighborhoods; and

WHEREAS, President Reagan’s commitment to our armed forces contributed to the restoration of pride in America, her values and those cherished by the free world, and prepared America’s Armed Forces to meet 21st Century challenges; and

WHEREAS, President Reagan’s vision of “peace through strength” led to the end of the Cold War and the ultimate demise of the Soviet Union, guaranteeing basic human rights for millions of people; and

WHEREAS, February 6, 2011, will be the 100th anniversary of Ronald Reagan’s birth, and the seventh since his passing:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the members of the House of Representatives of the Ninety-sixth General Assembly, First Regular Session, the Senate concurring therein, hereby designate February 6, 2011, to be “Ronald Reagan Day” in Missouri and urge all citizens of Missouri to recognize this event and participate fittingly in its observance.

Oh, wait, that last one wasn’t intentional snark.

Just a few facts:

Five myths about Ronald Reagan’s legacy

By Will Bunch

Friday, February 4, 2011

….In 1982, as the national unemployment rate spiked above 10 percent, Reagan’s approval rating fell to 35 percent. At the height of the Iran-Contra scandal, nearly one-third of Americans wanted him to resign.

In the early 1990s, shortly after Reagan left office, several polls found even the much-maligned Jimmy Carter to be more popular….

….Ultimately, Reagan signed measures that increased federal taxes every year of his two-term presidency except the first and the last. These included a higher gasoline levy, a 1986 tax reform deal that included the largest corporate tax increase in American history, and a substantial raise in payroll taxes in 1983 as part of a deal to keep Social Security solvent. While wealthy Americans benefitted from Reagan’s tax policies, blue-collar Americans paid a higher percentage of their income in taxes when Reagan left office than when he came in….

….Federal spending grew by an average of 2.5 percent a year, adjusted for inflation, while Reagan was president. The national debt exploded, increasing from about $700 billion to nearly $3 trillion….

And Rush Limbaugh gets flustered:

I chatted with Rush Limbaugh about Ronald Reagan today (you can listen)

by Mike Stark

Fri Feb 04, 2011 at 06:33:22 PM PST

….STARK:  They’re a fantastic website.  But why are you dodging the question?  I want to know why a tax-raising, amnesty-giving, cut-and-running, negotiating-with-terrorists guy is a hero to the conservative movement.

RUSH:  Well, because you understand Reagan in a way that is flawed. You — ….

And this “active social policy agenda” is worth praising?:

Reagan’s Legacy: Homelessness in America

By Peter Dreier

…Another of Reagan’s enduring legacies is the steep increase in the number of homeless people, which by the late 1980s had swollen to 600,000 on any given night – and 1.2 million over the course of a year. Many were Vietnam veterans, children and laid-off workers.

In early 1
984 on Good Morning America, Reagan defended himself against charges of callousness toward the poor in a classic blaming-the-victim statement saying that “people who are sleeping on the grates…the homeless…are homeless, you might say, by choice….”

Yeah, that’s some legacy. I’ll be busy doing something else on February 6th.
