Its role is defined by the U.S. Constitution: “No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law.” The committee oversees all discretionary spending.

Congressman Mark Alford, you are not qualified to serve on the Appropriations Committee. You do not have the education, nor you do have government service or work experience to serve on such a committee. About the only experience you bring to that table is how to fail at numerous small business attempts. The 4th District deserves better.

Congress should be paid the Federal minimum wage, so they understand exactly how much that gives a person to live on.
