There is approximately $1,9000,000,000.00 ($1.9 billion – with a “B”) allocated to Missouri for education via Federal relief funding which must be included in a supplemental appropriation bill passed by the Missouri General Assembly and signed by the governor by March 24th. Otherwise, the money goes to other states.
Bear in mind that the Missouri General Assembly goes on “Spring Break” during the period between then and now. They knew this had to be done back in November.
