Today:

Congressman Mark Alford
[November 20, 2025]

Today is National Rural Health Day is a reminder of what’s at stake. I’ve been in nearly every rural hospital across the Fourth District, talking with the people who are doing everything they can to keep health care close to home.
When the government shut down, we didn’t. We kept visiting hospitals because rural Missouri can’t afford political games. Democrats wanted to put the $50B Rural Health Transformation Program on the chopping block.
We actively fought to stop that and keep our rural hospitals open—for the families who depend on them!
[….]

Some of the responses:

Who is going to tell him?

it doesn’t matter what you tell him. He’s going to lick the boots and pander to the MAGA crowd. It’s all he’s capable of.
Well, that and being a bully.

You voted to kill our hospitals when you voted for the Big Beautiful Bill.

Hey Mark Afraid, A Fox News Poll shows 76% of voters say the economy is in bad shape. Remember saying we are in America’s golden era? Maybe a golden shower era or the gaudy golden oval office era???

If you’re so committed to rural healthcare, then why did you vote to gut Medicare and Medicaid? The BBB will actually hurt rural providers. But you knew that already, didn’t you Mark?

He voted that way because his orange master told him to. He doesn’t have the ability for independent thought just like the rest of the rePubes.

St. Mary’s, Blue Springs. Lee’s Summit Medical. Rural hospitals??!! 😂🤣
How’d you vote, Mark ??!!

Do you ever read the comments? Just asking.

Rural Missourians don’t need another photo-op hospital tour.
They need leaders who will actually fix the root problems not just blame Democrats while voting against the very policies that would save rural care.

Why cut Medicare?

That’s why you voted to cut $137B from rural health, right Mark?

Wait, we care about health these days? That’s funny!! 🤣

That’s it. The day is over.

Research suggests that Congress members who get fat healthcare donations are about as likely to support tough price controls as a cat is likely to take a bath voluntarily.
The U.S. healthcare industry isn’t just in the business of healing-it’s basically a political superhero with a cape made of lobbyist checks and PAC contributions.
Thanks to this superpower, bold reforms like negotiating drug prices or expanding Medicare-for-all often hit a wall thicker than a hospital bill, even when most Americans are cheering from the sidelines.

Toadie that forgot that he voted to gut the funding for rural healthcare services

He didn’t forget.

As a rural healthcare provider in your district. I have no words for how ridiculous you are. You do everything in your power to remove the ability of people to pay for healthcare putting my job at risk and other people‘s lives at risk. I cannot wait to vote you out.

Hey Mark! Your pants are on fire again.

If the president is calling for the execution of lawmakers he should be removed from office immediately

When you voted for the BBB you told us how invested you are in rural health.
You voted to gut funding.
Your rural constituents are aware you are not working in our best interests.

So you’re celebrating by closing rural hospitals? 🤦🖕

Say goodbye, rural folks.

Your voting record says otherwise

Only rural millionaire health

Because you visiting hospitals after voting to cut their funding by millions of dollars does nothing but photo ops.

Mark Alford (r) [2025 file photo].

And here you voted to disembowel the programs that aid in rural medical facilities…you’ll make more sense if you only talk out one side of your face, scumbag.

As a 40 year rep in rural healthcare, you are the worse one to be posting about how you are helping!
I hope you are voted out, along with the top down mess we have!
Please resign now and save yourself a huge embarrassment in the thrashing you see coming.

hush, little bootlicker

Idiot.

We’re laughing at you Alford

The money you are “giving” is much less than what you took away to put in the pockets of the 1%. Its despicable of you to keep touting this. Is this an example of the GOP healthcare plan you are working so hard on?

Quiet piggy

Ouch.

Right now, you and the rest of the Republicans are waaaay on the wrong side of history.

Congressman you voted against Rural Healthcare. Don’t be a hypocrite. We are smarter than you think.
By the way why did you give Argentina $40 BILLION? That’s not America First.

Hey Congressman Mark Alford you want to turn the temperature down. Tell that orange motherfucker in the White House to stop making death threats. If you want to make this normal, what happens when a Democrat majority is elected. You best put a check on that asshole

Except you voted for a bill that causes rural hospitals to close. You’re a joke

We know this is a fucking lie Congressman Mark Alford. When the government shut down, you went home on vacation for 6 weeks. You toured manufacturing facilities for photo ops. You didn’t go to hospitals in the 4th district. If you had you would have made sure to make photo ops of the visits. You never pass up an opportunity for a photo opportunity. Yet, we never saw any pictures of you at hospitals. We are not as dumb as your midget ass looks.

Same bullshit, different day from Markey McHypocrite.

You still have a leftover tan from your seven week vacation!!!! You didn’t work!
AND, WHAT ABOUT OUR HEALTHCARE TAX CREDITS???
ANSWER THE QUESTION!!!!

LIAR

Trump has illegally murdered over 80 people from South American countries. Trump doesn’t give one rat’s ass about anyone living in a rural area.

Pull your head out of trumps ass

Did the orange pedo tell you to post this? Asking for a friend.

You voted for Medicaid cuts. Spare me your fake concern.

Is that why you voted for the healthcare cuts in your BBB this past summer, before your extended vacation? Quit with the lying Republican propaganda…no one is buying it.

Don’t you ever get tired of lying? What kind of person are you? Not the kind I want to represent me. I sure hope that the gerrymandering petition and upcoming election keeps me in the 5th district and not in yours!

We got notice that Healthcare for One adult went from $790.00 per month to 1750.00 per month. No changes in health, no changes in deductible. Increases for in network office visits and higher deductible for prescriptions. Thanks little scamper alford. You voted for this in your “big beautiful bill.”
That doesn’t include changes in Medicare and supplements, for another adult in our home, haven’t got that part finalized yet.
Can’t wait for the rest of your Constituents to get their final adjustments on Healthcare. You may need to swap your lift boots out for some running shoes.

Trump is making death threats against Democrats who have told the military not to follow orders that go against the constitution.
And you and your MAGA friends once again stay silent

Liar liar. The bBB cut Medicaid /Medicare funding

You are so embarrassing

Too bad you voted to get rid of rural healthcare centers. Asshole.

No one is falling for your shit.

Alford’s daily lies are easily disputed. The Medicaid cuts he and the Felon’s other MAGA Morons voted for have put these Missouri hospitals at risk for closing:
Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia;
Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis;
Parkland Health Center in Bonne Terre;
Lafayette Regional Health Center in Lexington.

Trump calls for democratic lawmakers to be punished by DEATH this morning. What are the consequences for this extremely dangerous talk? What if his comments were directed at you?

Republicans are worse than Spam calls. Always trying to CON the citizens with bull 💩

They’re not buying it.

They seem upset.

Vicky Hartzler (r) [2021 file photo].

Today:

Rep. Vicky Hartzler @RepHartzler
Rural hospitals are struggling due to the authoritarian vaccine mandate on our frontline heroes.

Nearly 1 in 5 healthcare workers have already quit their jobs during the pandemic. We can’t risk losing more due to these harmful mandates.
[….]
4:21 PM · Jan 27, 2022

Some of the responses:

So says the largest welfare queen in the history of Missouri.

Remember when you voted against sending more relief to hospitals?
[….]

Her voting record further demonstrates her lack of empathy and horrible a value for the constituents she serves.
[….]

One of the largest healthcare providers in Missouri (BJC) had 300 out of 31,000 employees refuse the vaccine.

The vaccine is 90% effective for preventing hospitalization.

Fewer vaccinated healthcare workers = more healthcare workers becoming hospital patients.
[….]

Your district lost 7 rural hospitals under your watch?? Seven? [….]

Local arsonist is also the firefighter.

Imagine the mental gymnastics it takes to say that vaccine mandates are hurting our hospitals, not that 96% of patients admitted with COVID-19 at Cox in Springfield, MO are unvaccinated. I am sure no different in Boone County. Absolutely unreal, Vicky.

Rural hospitals are hurt more by the lack of Medicaid expansion.

Thanks to YOU!!!

Hey, still waiting for your ACA replacement plan you promised back in 2010.

Eleven years and change if anyone is counting.

Do you understand how any of this works?

No. This has been another edition of short answers to simple questions.

Lol, rural hospitals aren’t struggling from the mandate nearly as much as they are burnout, and a lack of resources. Obamacare’s Medicaid expansion money relieves that financial and resource strain, remind us of how you feel about the Medicaid Expandion and obamacare again?

This healthcare hero thinks vaccine mandates are a great idea for anyone who works in direct patient care and the actual risk is from people like you who work to hamstring the medical safety net and public health response at every turn.

Maybe you should tell the vaccine deniers to do the right thing, then. Get vaccinated.

Our Frontline heros are burned out due to risking their lives trying to save lives of those who refuse to Vax and mask. Shame on you @RepHartzler!

Rural hospitals in Missouri are indeed struggling. 95% of deaths are among the unvaccinated. The best way to help is vaccinate and mask. You could also help by supporting them with additional funding.

How many times did you vote against helping them and how much PPP did you pocket?

Goddamn, you turn my stomach

Rural hospitals are struggling in Missouri because your party refused to expand medicaid and is still trying to find ways to block funding.

Are you stupid or purposely lying to your supporters?

Yes.

You need to take a hard look in the mirror and then sit down about rural hospitals in Missouri. You are a HUGE part of the problem they are struggling.

You took $480,000 in PPP money to line your pockets. Give it to these rural hospitals that you ‘care’ do much about.

There is a Trumper friend of mine in MERCY Hospital here in St. Louis. He listened to FOX NEWS and the MO AG. He is about to die because his POS wife insisted he not get vaxxed.
Please come to his funeral & explain why their dad is expendable for political gain. You can burn…

Your source is Rand Paul? He’s a charlatan who couldn’t hack it in the real Medical Profession. Take a seat.

This wins for most ignorant tweet of the day…no competition….nearly 4,000 Americans died yesterday from Covid.

This is your legacy…too many needless Covid deaths.

I’m a surgeon working in a rural hospital in Missouri.

This is an absolute lie. We are struggling because we cannot keep up with onslaught of COVID cases – mostly from unvaccinated people – many of whom chose to believe the disinformation put out by you your ilk.

You’re a liar.

Another prime example of the bald-face lies told by our Missouri representatives and officials. She knows she voted against every initiative to assist rural hospitals, and with her fellow Republicans was successful in slashing funding. But yet she blames vaccine mandates.

Excuse me lady. You voted against every measure to assist rural hospitals. Every single one. Rand Paul is not a real doctor. Rural hospitals are struggling because republicans have under funded them for years. #GOPHypocrisy

Think maybe it has more to do with you voting against aid for those hospitals? As for why they’re quitting…that might have something to do with the constant flow of unvaccinated idiots going to the hospital? Try being less of a hack and more of a helper.

They’re struggling because people are getting admitted to hospitals with an illness a couple of shots would prevent. They struggle because of your actions and inactions. You are a disgrace

You realize you voted against support for those hospitals. You are a hypocrite and should be ashamed of yourself.

There you go.
