Congress Takes Group Of Schoolchildren Hostage

‘We Need $12 Trillion Or All These Kids Die’

September 29, 2011 | ISSUE 47•39

WASHINGTON-Brandishing shotguns and semiautomatic pistols, members of the 112th U.S. Congress took a class of visiting schoolchildren hostage today, barricading themselves inside the Capitol rotunda and demanding $12 trillion dollars in cash….

I mean, come on, I’ve seen better photoshopping at the supermarket checkout counter tabloid stand.

Did the Onion Go Too Far? Capitol Evacuation Story Prompts Police Response

ABC News’ Sunlen Miller, Lauren Effron and Andrew Springer report:

The satirical newspaper The Onion may have gone a little too far with their “reporting” this morning, causing the Capitol Hill police to get involved….

And relying on Twitter for substance and accuracy? Come on.

In journamalism is the word “some” a shorthand label attached to identify people so dense that they are incapable of comprehending that The Onion does satire and fake news?

We are ruled by people too stupid to remember to breathe.

Then again, political satire became obsolete when Henry Kissinger was awarded the Nobel Prize.

…It’s over, people. We had a lot of good years. I hope my wireless reaches to the make-shift bomb shelter I built this evening.

Or, Beck could just be psychotic.
