No, raising the debt ceiling should be and most often is SOP.
It is a crisis only because Leder McCarthy decided to make it a crisis.

Biden sent his budget to the speaker months ago. The speaker sat on it and did nothing while having no issue raising the debt ceiling multiple times under trump who is responsible for 25% of our current debt. Y’all are a joke.

The debt ceiling is an arbitrary line, the cuts you are making aren’t, and they will deeply harm Americans, our nation, and especially your 8th district constituents.

Congress sets the debt ceiling, not POTUS. Where were you? You barely passed your “make the poor pay for our tax cuts” plan only 3 weeks ago.

You know why the GOP will get the blame, just like always? Because you’re the only ones making threats.

You want to negotiate a responsible debt plan? REPEAL THE TRUMP TAX CUTS! You help drive the nation into debt with tax cuts and then complain about the result.
