Eric Schmitt @Eric_Schmitt
Government should not be in the business of censoring speech. Period.
This shouldn’t be controversial in the United States of America.

But, using public funds to solicit snitches on local school districts as a campaign stunt is perfectly normal, right?
Just a few of the responses:
You worked to ban books as Attorney General.
Nor should they be in the business of censoring books or what curriculum our children enroll in. Nor what pronouns we use.
But preteen girls should be forced to give birth? No age limit on who can carry guns? Ban books? You republicans are pure evil.
Eric Schmitt should not be in government. Period.
Government should not be in the business of women’s health, but you made sure THAT happened.
You act as if you have a moral compass. We all know that isn’t the case.
What about books? Women’s access to health care? Health care for trans children? Government censorship of these seem fine with you! You lean fascist…
Tell it to Parsons, Abbott, and DeSantis, you America-hating hack.
I assume this means you don’t support @HawleyMO bill to prohibit social media access for those under 16?
Josh Hawley (r) endorsed Vicky Hartzler(r) in the 2022 republican U.S. Senate primary. Heh.
Does this include banning books?
But it should be in the business of tracking periods?
Your party is the one banning books. Tell it to your Florida pal who doesnt want his teachers to say the word Gay. Look to to your own team first for censorship.
You mean like “Don’t say Gay” laws?
What a hypocrite you are
And yet that’s happening in the Mo Senate currently against educators and districts. You know, the ones you sued frivolously when you were AG? Why the flip flop now?
What shouldn’t be controversial in America is children’s books, or girls’ menstrual cycles, or a woman’s or child’s right to choose what happens to her body, or whether a seditious president should be tried for treason, or whether lifesaving vaccs & masks should be used.
Which party is the one banning books?
Do you just tweet dumb stuff all day, or do you occasionally work?
It’s either that, or naming post offices.
They shouldn’t be in the business of banning books either but yet here we are. I thought a fancy lawyer/politician like you would be able to grasp HYPOCRISY better than you do. Are you that stupid or that bold?
