Last night in Kansas City:

Trudy Busch Valentine (D).

Yesterday evening, from the guy who is apparently afraid to hold a beer:

Eric Schmitt @Eric_Schmitt
US Senate candidate, MO
While my opponent The Heiress Valentine is emailing people about the beginning of “Pumpkin Spice Latte” season — I’m here to remind Missourians it’s Busch Light camo can season. Enjoy!

I got to spend tonight in Kansas City at Gaels Public House — an ice cold Busch Light is always better with friends.

I especially want to thank Senator @GregRazer and Derrick Bachman for their hospitality and their warm and gracious welcome.

If you want to save me the seat that’s fine, better than you voting to sell it off to China like it’s 150,000 acres of Missouri farmland.

Around 100 individuals attend her campaign office opening in midtown Kansas City this afternoon.

Trudy Bush Valentine (D).

After greeting people as she entered the campaign office Valentine was introduced by former Kansas City Mayor Sly James.

Valentine made extensive remarks on the challenges facing Missourians which they have expressed to her as she has traveled across the state.

Missourians in cities, suburbs, and rural communities are worried about their livelihoods, their health and access to healthcare, their bodily autonomy, their safety, and their quality of life.

Valentine spoke personally and elequently of the tragic consequences of opiod addiction for individuals and their families.

At the end of her remarks Trudy Busch Valentine (D) remained to greet everyone in attendance:

If the roles were reversed in this race and it was the Dem with the contrast/storyline there’d be endless artwork, documentaries, etc…

A whine connoisseur. Go figure. As if Leni Riefenstahl was available?

There is much hilarity in the responses:

They make documentaries about people who are inspiring. There’s nothing inspiring about an attorney general who repeatedly files frivolous lawsuits against already-cash-strapped school districts.

He even had a title in mind – Triumph des Willens.

Yeah! Why isn’t Hollywood doing the story about a man from humble beginnings, who rose to power, ready to take on the challenge of removing rights from marginalized communities, subverting election results, and protecting wealthy special interest groups… a real hero

I said it before and I will say it again, I have no problem with your upbringing. I am proud of where you came from. Your positions now, your hatred and bigotry are problems for me. Your policies are trash and deserve to be in a circular file.

Awww. Whining isn’t cute.

Schmitty, you have been worthless as AG; there isnevery reason to believe you would be even more worthless in the Senate. Perhaps giving tours is your untimate job advancement.

Careful, your misogyny and stereotypes are showing

But what have you done for the State of MO in your current job? How much money have you wasted on frivolous lawsuits that we are all paying for?

Better photos. Eric Schmitt (r) left “better photos” off his whine list. Trudy Busch Valentine (D) has better photos.

Trudy Busch Valentine (D) is the Democratic Party nominee for the open U.S. Senate seat in Missouri.

Trudy Busch Valentine (D).

Jackson County Democrats held a canvassing event for legislative district candidates and the party ticket starting at 10:00 a.m. at their headquarters in Lee’s Summit today. A large number of volunteers showed up, first to hear candidates speak, including Trudy Busch Valentine (D), then to embark on door-to-door canvassing.

Before the event started Valentine took time to greet and briefly speak with everyone in the room.

She then spoke to the canvassing volunteers:

Valentine then went door-to-door in a nearby neighborhood:

We had a pleasant, brief, conversation as she walked between houses. Trudy Busch Valentine is down-to-earth, centered, kind, empathetic, and sharp as a tack, without appearing frantic. The contrast with Eric Schmitt (r) is jarring.

She’s going to be just fine.

Oops.

As soon as I became aware of an NRA event at Grant’s Farm, I knew I couldn’t just sit on the sidelines. That’s why I’ve made a personal contribution to @MomsDemand, that exceeds the rental fees the NRA is paying to Grant’s Farm for the event.

My mantra has always been to “listen more and talk less.” That’s how I’ll be running my campaign — and that’s what I’ll do in the U.S. Senate.

I mean, you’re eventually going to have to do some talking, like talking about your position…on anything.
