We’re disappointed to see the Chiefs’ announcement that they will move across the state line.

While this is a set back for the KCMO metro area, I know Governor Mike Kehoe did everything in his power to get them to stay. I applaud Governor Kehoe and the state legislature’s steadfast leadership throughout this process.

With this behind us, it’s time to move forward. We must deliver real prosperity, job opportunities, and economic development by thoughtfully eliminating the state income tax, while at the federal level, we work to bring home responsible federal investments through my work on the House Committee on Appropriations.

Together, we will turn the “Show Me State” into the “Grow Me State.”

You can smell the desperate fear.

Too bad it had to be over sportsball.

An insurance ‘death panel’ caused the death of my little sister at age 45. It should never have happened. This is the real experience many American families have, no matter what they pay for insurance.
Without the ACA (better than anything you have initiated), many small businesses would never have been started.

As a small business owner and father of three, Obamacare was a godsend since its inception. I’m scared to death to see how the Republicans are going to “clean up the mess” if they can’t even acknowledge how much Obamacare helps tens of millions of people who don’t work for large employers that can get group rates and help pay for their employees’ health insurance! They keep talking about “putting consumers in charge”, but say NOTHING about lowering overall cost. I already get to pick my providers and pick my insurance plan, it’s the cost that is the issue.

Bury in the fine print a maximum coverage amount so if you got sick and needed the insurance it was not there. Or sell a policy that actually did not cover you when you got sick. Kick your teenage children off your policy. Or not cover preventative care to help you from getting sick.
It was so great.
But they an “idea” of a plan.

Without the ACA, insurance companies could deny insurance coverage for people with preexisting conditions. That was a big impetus for the ACA adoption. How will your plan of abandoning people to their own devices of obtaining insurance, even with the subsidies for those with more limited finances, assure those with cancer, diabetes,etc that they will be sold a plan? It did not happen before the ACA, so will Trump’s distain for all things Obama, throw these people back under the bus?

I’m sure you’ll have a healthcare plan right after infrastructure week.

Today is National Rural Health Day is a reminder of what’s at stake. I’ve been in nearly every rural hospital across the Fourth District, talking with the people who are doing everything they can to keep health care close to home.
When the government shut down, we didn’t. We kept visiting hospitals because rural Missouri can’t afford political games. Democrats wanted to put the $50B Rural Health Transformation Program on the chopping block.
We actively fought to stop that and keep our rural hospitals open—for the families who depend on them!

We got notice that Healthcare for One adult went from $790.00 per month to 1750.00 per month. No changes in health, no changes in deductible. That doesn’t include changes in Medicare and supplements, for another adult in our home, haven’t got that part finalized yet.
Can’t wait for the rest of your Constituents to get their final adjustments on Healthcare. You may need to swap your lift boots out for some running shoes.

Lafayette Regional Health Center in Lexington.

Congressman Mark Alford You passed the Big Beautiful (BS) Bill that cut $1.3 TRILLION from Medicaid, when that same GVMH CEO said publicly that 4 OUT OF 5 PATIENTS in that hospital are MEDICAID recipients. Guess what that means? MEDICAID FUNDS THIS HOSPITAL. Read that again: MEDICAID KEEPS THIS HOSPITAL OPERATING.
Explain how the cuts YOU made to Medicaid support this hospital?? You can’t explain it, because your “support” is nothing but another Alford lie. You’ve passed a law that will damage this hospital severely, if it doesn’t shut it down!
How many of those 51,000 people you’ve condemned to death every year going forward, that would NOT DIE except they will now due to your law, the BBB, how many of those people will now die at GVMH?
