Mark Alford (r), yesterday:

Congressman Mark Alford
[November 6, 2026]

American families deserve to feel safe in their homes and communities. That starts with holding violent criminals accountable, especially repeat offenders who continue to put innocent lives at risk.
This Congress, I joined @HouseGOP in passing the Keeping Violent Offenders Off Our Streets Act to increase accountability for bail funds and help protect American communities.
Do you support tougher penalties for repeat violent offenders to keep our communities safe?
👍 YES – tell me why
👎 NO – tell me why not
[…..]

There is skepticism in the responses:

Mark, how do you feel about congressman who enable illegal wars, tariffs, and corruption?

What about penalties for 34x felons?

You mean like all the January 6th criminals Trump pardoned and they then committed more crimes?
[….]

Let’s start at the top of the list Trumpstien that work for you Alford

Perhaps many of your constituents support tougher penalties for repeat offenders (especially sexual offenders) to keep our White House safe?

You’ve done nothing the last 2 years, why would the next 2 be any different?

Your bill? Sitting in the senate since MAY… going nowhere.

Laws haven’t mattered for decades, unless you’re middle class or worse.

You’re talking about cops that keep getting excessive force charges, right?

May justice be done, without fear or favor – agreed?
No one is arguing others are above the law, the hypocritical GOP is arguing that Trump is.
[….]

Yes, I support tougher penalties for Donald J. Trump and all of the weak, spineless, cronies who have coddled and enabled him to commit the atrocities he has against our country and our Constitution.

I love your “let’s talk about it” especially since you never come to Columbia to “talk about it”…70% of Columbia that you represent here voted against you why don’t you ever come here mark? Why don’t you ever come&stand in front of us&lie to us face to face mark? Are you too much of a coward to face the base that sees you for who you truly are? Come on mark, come to Columbia where the vast majority of the population despises you and “talk about it”

Belton, Missouri:

Mark Alford (r) [2025 file photo].

Do you realize just how, stupid you sound? Your orange leader who is a 34 count felon in his own right pardoned 1500 violent criminals, who stormed the capitol on J6 and wiped their shit on the walls. He pardoned the leader of one of the biggest drug scams in the history of,the US. He hired people convicted of sexual abuse and pedophelia. The trump family is running one of the biggest grifts right in front of our eyes and no one stops him. You are so inconsequential.

Mark Alford (r) [2024 file photo].

About 1300 criminals participated in an insurrection January 6th and your rapist felon president pardoned them.

Could you go back to doing nothing? We’re tired of you posting photo ops , and we can’t keep pretending your opinions matter.

If it’s Trump and your corrupt buddies we’re talking about…. Then let’s go!!! You may not be violent but you’re destroying more families and businesses than any single person… oh… and does that mean we get to lock up all the criminals Trump pardoned?

Plan on being miserable for the next two years, and you deserve it, goddamned Trumpsucker!
[….]

Manufactured fear. Manufactured distraction. Apparently it’s the current and future strategery of right wingnuts in Congress.

Squirrel!
