Yesterday:

Congressman Mark Alford
[December 27, 2023]
As we get set for a new year, I just wanted to take a minute to say — thank you.
Representing Missouri’s 4th Congressional District is truly the honor of a lifetime.
[….]

As always, there is epic hilarity in the responses:

You got the job because you were a talking head on FOX. No substance, just fluff. The Peter Principle in action.

You keep saying you represent “all” . I’m not sure you know what that even means.

it’s his small circle of friends. He’s exaggerating about the 720,000 plus people.

Another video for your audition reel. Embarrassing

Seriously, if the guy can’t do a 25 second promo without having to make an edit I don’t think even Newsmax would hire him. The fact that they can’t edit video correctly or even spell simple words speaks highly to the level of professionalism in their office.

Least productive Congress in modern history.

Not working for you.

Alford, are you mad that the media is not bragging about the CBP doing their job or re you still having trouble with the word encountered and just failed to finish your thought? I personally would like to thank the CBP for doing their job 248,000 times in November. Clarify yourself

The 118th Congress was the least productive congress ever—only 26 pieces of legislation passed. Which will you campaign on?

hatred of the “other”.

Do you agree with your colleague from Michigan who traveled to Uganda to praise their anti-LGBT laws? Laws that include the death penalty for being gay?

Some turn on others:

I hope you’re right. We need to stop letting the left RUN AMUCK which requires you people who choose PUBLIC SERVICE to get backbones and stop letting them run all over Trump because they’re afraid he will uncover all their crimes. This is when we toughen up and turn the tables. Otherwise, a year from now we will be wondering how the heck they stole another presidency!! Stop underestimating the democrats. Think like criminals and get in there and fight for us Mark!
I believe in you
I was proud to see you change careers because you couldn’t or wouldn’t lie anymore telling fake news. That took guts. You have allies. It’s the enemies, seasoned crooks and haters there you need to watch out for.
They will murder if necessary. There’s a list you don’t want to be on. Stay safe, kind, humble and truthful. God bless you and yours.

Mark ain’t gonna do nuthin he’s controlled opposition. Have you ever heard him talk about the deep state? He’s either afraid or part of it. Mark has a more liberal voting record than 3 Democrats. He’s no help at all. He just wants to hold town halls and work across the aisle [….]

And others:

Stop the Holocaust and Genocide committed by baby killers brutal inhumane barbaric ANTI CHRIST Genocidal Maniacs regime of Israel and Zionism protectors AIPAC and it’s gang destroying our democracy and freedom of speech and constitution to protect Israel,s Genocide, Congress man it is time to be a real American and stand up to foreign agent of AIPAC.

Legislative productivity:

thanks for what? Your sponsored and cosponsored legislative bills are bottom tier! Quit blowing your own horn!

WOW 12 Bills and Amendments!!!
That’s more than half of the 22 Bills passed the entire year by you and the Republican controlled House!
That’s an impressive accomplishment, especially for the least productive Congress since the Depression!!!
Maybe this year You and Your fellow Republicans can pass some useful Bills, like the Budget and a Funding Bill for Ukraine, instead of playing politics and trying to fabricate evidence against Biden [….]

Close the boarder

Sarcasm? Nah.

*border. Mexico is our largest trading partner. Do we close that trade off as well?

Then he said to them, “Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For it is the one who is least among you all who is the greatest.”
— Luke 9:46-47

We’re not expecting much from Mark Alford (r) in 2024 either.
