This image of Pastor Heather Jepsen supporting the LGBTQIA+ community outside yesterday’s Pride Festival in Warrensburg, first published here, was later reproduced on a social media site:
The young “christian” woman getting mad at the word of the Lord. Rev. Heather reading the Bible about the teachings of Jesus. She gave the opening blessing to our Pride Event. She is a blessing.
A self-righteous right wingnut responded:
Hey [….]! the sweet young lady that’s being being yelled at by the lady with the megaphone is ironically the same one you harassed last year by sticking your phone in HER car and recording her.
In case you need a refresher…
The conversation continues:
[….] not sweet . She trespassed last year and this year she pushed up against a minister, an amputee causing balance issues and pain. She could have walked over and positioned herself 2 or 3 feet away but pushed into her. At least she learned not to tresspass and park her car on private property. There is some hope for her.
About last year.
[….] as to the recording someone who was trespassing you do understand they were trespassing? No law broken. There is always the opportunity not to tresspass then you won’t have an old guy telling you to leave or recording cars on property that I rented for the day.
Others pile on to the self-righteous right wingnut:
[….] you’re not really a martyr if you’re the one hammering in the nails on that cross you keep putting yourself on.
Okay, that one left a mark.
The self-righteous right wingnut responded:
Why would she get mad at having a megaphone shoved in her face? Great picture, saving it.
Uh, no. 1) That picture is owned by the photographer. It was taken of individuals acting in public and published at a news site. It is covered by copyright. 2) The toy bullhorn was not shoved in her face, she stepped into it and stood there.
The sequence of 47 images. The published image is sixteenth in the sequence:
By the way, for the clueless, those 47 images are covered by copyright, too.
Others continue piling on to the self-righteous right wingnut:
[….] she didn’t have a megaphone shoved in her face. She moved her self in front of the megaphone. These protestors are a bunch of whiny bigots that try to cause trouble. They harass people and then play the victim. Don’t fall for their scam
[….] she positioned herself there willingly to smother someone reading scripture.
But I’m sure they’ll find a way to manipulate it.
[….] the young woman walked over to the minister and placed her face there. She pushed her body up against the AMPUTEE causing her balance issues and pain. Make sure when you share the picture you share that. Who bumps an amputee ? Why get up in someone’s face? Why get upset with someone reading a Bible? Listen or ignore but respect the Reverend and allow her the space to read from the Bible.
[….] save the accurate description of it, too.
[….] Rev Heather’s church is open twice a week to feed the homeless, they help get documents/ IDs so they can get jobs, someplace to live, medical care. They open on very cold nights to insure everyone walks up alive in the morning. The cult that insist on trespassing and harassing others? The young woman walked over and placed herself in this position.
Question? How many meals have you bought ? How many meals have you cooked? Miles driven to help someone who lost documents in a fire to get duplicates? You ever sat up all night keeping a shelter open ?
If you belong to a church what actions has the church taken to help the poor or homeless ?
I have donated cows and the processing fee, usually a thousand dollars a year to homeless or abuse shelters, I usually drive 80 miles a month and spend 4 or 5 nights a winter keeping a warming shelter open.
I think you might want to take a look at your life and think about your church and ask yourself why do you get mad at others who clearly do good works in the community.
If you are a Christian why lie?
Pastor Heather’s description on her social media page:
A few words about this picture. I’m counterprotesting the haters at yesterdays Pride event. I am reading the Bible out of a TOY (!) megaphone I found at 5 below. 🤣 This is apparently so threatening to haters that they held a prayer circle, tried to block me with their signs, and started getting physical to push me out of their space. You would have thought Christians would like to hear Bible readings on a loud speaker. 🤨 But 1 John, the gospel of John, and Acts are taking things a bit too far. How small your god must be if even reading the Biblie itself is a threat. 🏳️🌈 God is love friends – don’t let anyone tell you different!!
Thus endeth the lesson.
