From the CDC, in May:

High SARS-CoV-2 Attack Rate Following Exposure at a Choir Practice — Skagit County, Washington, March 2020

…On March 17, 2020, a member of a Skagit County, Washington, choir informed Skagit County Public Health (SCPH) that several members of the 122-member choir had become ill. Three persons, two from Skagit County and one from another area, had test results positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Another 25 persons had compatible symptoms. SCPH obtained the choir’s member list and began an investigation on March 18. Among 61 persons who attended a March 10 choir practice at which one person was known to be symptomatic, 53 cases were identified, including 33 confirmed and 20 probable cases (secondary attack rates of 53.3% among confirmed cases and 86.7% among all cases). Three of the 53 persons who became ill were hospitalized (5.7%), and two died (3.7%)…

Of course, we can count on Josh Hawley (r):

From the lawsuit: “Since the initiation of the lockdown, restrictive mandates in the state’s health orders have been applied to houses of worship unfairly and much more aggressively than other(s).” You can say that again

Some of the responses:

You’ll have plenty of time to exercise your right to pray when hooked up on a ventilator. I couldn’t care less of that is your choice to do but the messed up part is your ignorant self will spread it to truly innocent others. Get over your damn self.

Don’t you ever take a break from this performative sniveling, Folksyjeans?

You realize gathering in a big building and spraying respiratory droplets en masse is a BAD thing during a pandemic, right?
If God doesn’t get that, maybe you shouldn’t be worshiping him rn

Please find a new topic to harp on. Here’s one that concerns all of us. How come it takes 10-14 days to get a Covid-19 test result back? It’s unconscionable that 6 months into the pandemic, we’re still this bad at the most basic aspect of controlling it. #GOPFAILEDUS

Singing in California, Confederate statues in the South, the NBA… Is Josh Hawley ever concerned about what is happening in Missouri? Nope, he just likes novelty issues that he can virtue signal over. Easier than governing.

Have you read the statistics on how many people have gotten Covid from indoor services? On no, that’s right, the President removed the statistics from the most knowledgeable source. Are you sending your children back to school? Do you attend services with singing?

My church actually values the safety of its congregation by holding virtual services. We are still able to gather and worship God without putting each other in harm’s way.

Yes because you can’t pray at home in a pandemic- it’s in the Bible somewhere – also I love that verse about not helping others and protecting each other is not allowed.

Stop pandering and do the right thing.

Not gonna happen.

How foolish.

Just stop

Quit Whining

Since I’m from Missouri, flattering words neither impress nor convince me. I’m gonna need you to show me.

So if the parishioners would like to attend in-person services with dozens and hundreds of others, and spray each other with potentially contagious droplets, and then go out in the world and do the same to others, whose freedoms have been violated?

So your god only cares about you if you gather in large groups and sing? Those prayers are somehow more important to your god than they would be if your prayed silently by yourself to keep others safe? Sounds like a pretty crappy god.

Senator, you’re full of crap.

Your lack of common sense is astounding.

We knew that.
