My spouse went out to get the Sunday paper early this morning (the Kansas City Star, nothing useful in it, including the stenographer’s usual mindless bloviations) and matter of factly announced to me, “Somebody stole our Obama yard sign.”

Sure enough, somebody stole all of the Obama yard signs in my neighborhood. That’s a significant number. They left everything else alone.

The scene of the crime…

They’re losing and they know it. Instead of canvassing door to door or working the phones for their candidate(s) of choice during the day, they’re stealing yard signs at night and sleeping in late. You can smell their fear, or their incompetence.

The really funny part? Somewhere in Warrensburg, somebody is sitting on a pile of stolen Obama yard signs, several bearing the legend on the inside in permanent ink: “Stolen from [street address]”. Now it’s just a matter of them making one little misteak…
