Roy Blunt (r) announced this morning that he won’t run for reelection to the U.S. Senate in 2022.
A personal message from Roy.

Some of the responses:
This is the enduring legacy of the Republican Party: move as much wealth as possible into the hands of the few while making it harder and harder for people at the bottom to participate in the economy they work so hard to produce. [….]
Good. Take Hawley with you.
Hey, now you can stop voting to appease corporate donors and the radical Republican base and start voting on what’s best for the people of MO!
Not gonna happen. There won’t be any noticeable difference.
But then he’d lose his future job as a Fox news contributor.
Mitch McConnell will miss you, you always did as you were told, even vote against the best interests of the people of Missouri.
Now comes a quazy Q primary in 2022.
Local television stations across Missouri are already counting the campaign ad windfall. “Ooh, a primary, too!”
You voted against the #AmericanRescuePlan. That is how I will remember you.
Good luck on causing as much damage to society in the private sector!
Take Josh with you.
Mr. Blunt, if you’d used your energy & imagination to develop new tools, you might have solved more problems. Maintaining your farmer parents’ ethos was a cop-out. Your job was to see beyond the limits of the moment & create new tools. You didn’t rise to the needs of the times.
Somebody caught the gaslighting.
“Good legislative partners from both sides.”
That time is long gone, Roy. The #GQP is out to end democracy.
Surely we can do better.
Assumes fact not in evidence.
Wreck the country and then move on. Great job there, Roy.
You voted against 76% of republican voters that said they wanted the stimulus package. Evidently, you don’t care…that’s your legacy.
Good move. A bit too late to go out on top, but you managed to not sink quite as low as @HawleyMO, so that’s something.
Good riddance. You wont be missed.
What an abysmal legacy.
2022 polling isn’t going well, is it,@GOPLeader?
So much for taking either the House or the Senate back.
As a longtime MO voter, let me say:
Thanks for absolutely nothing, good riddance, and may you never darken our state’s doorstep again, toady.
A traitor for screwing the country, and a coward for running away.
Some legacy huh?
A personal message from me: You’re a bloodsucking vampire
You say you’ve worked hard for our state. Is that why you just voted against the COVID relief bill? You knew your announcement to not run for re-election loomed and, yet, you still voted against the people of Missouri. You have no courage or spine, sir.
I love it when we all come together to tell political hacks off.
You can just feel the love.
