Lindsey Simmons (D), the Democratic Party candidate in the 4th Congressional District, started another leg of her methodical travel across the district early Saturday morning in Sedalia. The second event of the day was a lunch with voters at a local restaurant in Warrensburg, listening to their concerns about their lives the district – from agriculture, to health care, to the environment, to public education.
In the early afternoon, there was a conversation at the invitation of College Democrats with students and interested faculty in the Union at the University of Central Missouri. After brief introductory remarks Lindsey Simmons (D) engaged the students in a broad two-hour discussion about public higher education, voter engagement, and public service.
In the early evening, for the last event of the day, a meet and greet at a local restaurant in Belton. This, an opportunity for one on one conversations with Cass County Democrats.
That’s retail politics at work.
