Yesterday afternoon several hundred protesters gathered in unseasonably warm and sunny weather at Theiss Park in Kansas City for an anti-Trump, pro-free speech, and pro-free press march. The march proceeded toward the Plaza, turned south and progressed through the neighborhoods surrounding the park. The march ended with the protesters lining the sidewalk facing the south lawn of the Nelson Atkins Museum. There were a number of people in the sculpture garden watching the proceedings. Reactions from passing traffic on the street ranged from enthusiastic horn honking to stoic silence.
Yes, we love Kansas City.
