“…Keep on the sunny side, always on the sunny side,
Keep on the sunny side of life;
It will help us every day, it will brighten all the way,
If we keep on the sunny side of life…”
On December 31, 2015 John Brunner’s (r) gubernatorial campaign reported over $3.6 million in campaign contributions from himself. As previously reported to the Missouri Ethics Commission the last contribution to his campaign over $5,000.00 (which must be reported within 48 hours) from anyone else before that was in the amount of $10,000.00 on December 22, 2015.
Yesterday evening, from 2016 gubernatorial candidate John Brunner (r), via Twitter:
John Brunner @JohnBrunnerMO
Thank you to everyone who contributed in the last 48 hours to our campaign! 2015 was a great year for us, 2016 will be a better one! #mogov 7:39 PM – 1 Jan 2016
A response, via Twitter:
Ben Cook @Skitzzo
Pretty sure he just thanked himself… #MOgov [….] 7:57 PM – 1 Jan 2016
Heh. Yep.

Campaign Finance: making a statement (December 31, 2015)
Though we’ll have to wait until January 15, 2016 to be certain, we’re pretty sure at this point that 360,000 Missouri retirees didn’t spontaneously contribute $10.00 each to John Brunner’s (r) gubernatorial campaign in the final 48 hours leading up to the new year.
