SurveyUSA released a 600 sample poll of “adults” on February 24th taken in Missouri from February 20th through the 22nd. The margin of error is 4.1%. The poll was sponsored by KCTV in Kansas City.

The party affiliation subsamples differ significantly from the previous poll (immediately after the inauguration), with only “Independents” remaining similar.

Again, there doesn’t appear to be much of a gender gap.
Obama has net approval in Kansas City, St. Louis, and Northern Missouri. He has net disapproval in the Southwest and the Southeast..
It would be prudent to watch the trends (over time) in these polls.
…division in our state is very polarized.
The Republican leadership and puditry are so good at being a wrench in the machine, while in power, and while not in power. I feel the 30% independent base (larger than the Republican ditto-head base), is lost in the mix and is forced to participate in a dysfunctional two-party sporting event, “I’m right , you’re wrong” kind of politics. This party combat is bad for the country, has people grasping tired rhetoric; avoiding solutions.
The fix would be the return of the statesman or woman, wiki..
We have this in Barack, but the Repubs don’t seem to get it.
