Today, at the Missouri Ethics Commission:

C091068 05/10/2014 HOUSE REPUBLICAN CAMPAIGN COMMITTEE, INC Friends Of Tilley PO Box 555 Perryville MO 63775 5/10/2014 $10,000.00

[emphasis added]

That’ll pay for a lot of robocalls.

There’s that number again.

What it is it with $10,000.00 contributions? Did somebody write a memo we didn’t get? Just asking.

Denny Hoskins, General Assembly, missouri, Republican, Tilley, Warrensburg

Denny Hoskins (r – noun, verb, CPA) continues to garner attention over his missed vote on the amendment to allow conceal carry on university campuses.

Our previous coverage:

Denny Hoskins (r): “Mr. University President, tear down those signs…”

Denny, Denny, Denny…brush up on the first rule of holes

Denny, Denny, Denny…brush up on the first rule of holes, part 2

Denny Hoskins does a weekly morning radio interview with KOKO in Warrensburg (they also post his press releases on line). This morning he got to address his missed vote on the campus conceal carry amendment.

I called the station to ask if they had recorded the show in the hope that we could transcribe the interview and post it. No luck, they didn’t record it.

Later I spoke on the phone with a Warrensburg resident who heard the show live:

[paraphrased]…Woody [the interviewer] asked Hoskins why he would be singled out for missing a vote. Hoskins replied that the Democratic leadership was under investigation by the FBI (mentioning Representative Paul LeVota by name). Hoskins went on to say that he was being picked on because he’s in the leadership of the freshman class, and that he’s considered future leadership [in the House]…

Meanwhile, today the Warrensburg Daily Star Journal published the second part in their series on this story:

Gun issue concerns UCM students

‘Concealed Carry’

Jack Miles

Part 2 of 2

Warrensburg – The idea of carrying guns on campus drew concern from students selected randomly on the University of Central Missouri campus.

A student senator said she may file a resolution asking the Student Government Association to oppose a Missouri House bill that would enable students to carry guns on campus. Another student said some people could handle the responsibility…

Is anybody else in the republican “leadership” still flogging the FBI story?

Well, anyway, let’s follow some money.

Filed April 12, 2009 with the Missouri Ethics Commission:

I wonder how Representative Tilley (r) (you know, part of that “leadership” in the Missouri House that Denny Hoskins (r) aspires to) is doing in the fundraising department?:
