Even though you claimed “ President Trump hasn’t done anything wrong,” so there’s nothing to hold him accountable for, Maury said, “the lie detector determined that was a lie.” Even as overall violent crime in America is down, crimes against LGBTQ+ people are alarmingly high under Trump, and increases have followed his derogatory and dehumanizing language. He’s pressured his sycophants to push through anti-LGBTQ+ legislation and continued spreading lies about that community.
Trump has significantly expanded the use of and funding for private, for-profit prisons that utilize inmate labor, and he’s ended a DOJ policy that aimed to phase out the use of private prisons. The increased use and funding of private prisons using inmate labor with exceedingly low wages is, for all intents and purposes, slave labor. It’s a modern-day version of debtor’s prisons and indentured servitude. The inmates in these prisons are overwhelmingly black men with non-violent offenses who are serving time for crimes that result in probation or community service for their white peers, but lengthy prison sentences for them.
Do I really need to explain how Trump is working to strip women of their rights?
While I knew you were dishonest and obsequious towards Trump, this is disgusting and uncalled for. Mel Hancock would be ashamed that you’re so devoid of the principles you claim are so integral to your faith that you think this is acceptable behavior from a sitting US member of Congress. It’s wild that “He’s not a Muslim” is supposed to calm anyone down. Muslim Americans are just as American as everyone else; they vote, pay taxes, serve in the military, and live in this district. When you frame someone not being Muslim as reassurance, that’s prejudice talking. A member of Congress represents people of every faith, not just the ones he’s comfortable with.

1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations.
A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can’t I own Canadians?
2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of Menstrual uncleanliness – Lev.15: 19-24.
The problem is how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.
4. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odour for the Lord – Lev.1:9.

9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?
10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev.19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? Lev.24:10-16. Couldn’t we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)
