Another gun bill, introduced today by Representative Andrew McDaniel (r):
HB 1108
Establishes the McDaniel Militia Act, which requires every person between 18 and 35 years of age who can legally possess a firearm to own an AR-15 and authorizes a tax credit for a purchase of an AR-15
Sponsor: McDaniel, Andrew (150)
Proposed Effective Date: 8/28/2019
LR Number: 2290H.01I
Last Action: 02/27/2019 – Introduced and Read First Time (H)
Bill String: HB 1108
Next House Hearing: Hearing not scheduled
Calendar: Bill currently not on a House calendar
Why an AR-15, why not a Type 56? Just asking. They can buy Missouri farmland, we can buy their firearms. Win-win.
Previously:
HB 1052: Matchlock or flintlock? (February 25, 2019)
HB 1039: “We’re having a contest!” (February 26, 2019)
HB 1052: it’s all in the details (February 26, 2019)
The tax credits are as disturbing as the weapons. Less revenue to the state of Missouri means less money for roads, schools, parks, etc.
