Josh Hawley’s 2016 Attorney General campaign filed its third quarter campaign finance report with the Missouri Ethics Commission on October 15th:
C151132: Hawley For Missouri

Ending Money On Hand $717,975.11
[emphasis added]
That’s three quarters of a million dollars raised in a little over two months. It’s easy, and not so impressive, when $600,000.00 of it came from four people. Just feel that grassroots momentum:

Contributions to Josh Hawley’s (r) 2016 Attorney General campaign for the third quarter – from the campaign’s October quarterly campaign finance report filed with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
Only seventeen contributions accounted for the vast majority of the total amount raised in the quarter:

The distribution of contributions $5000.00 and OVER, and contributions UNDER $5,000.00 to Josh Hawley’s (r) 2016 Attorney General campaign for the third quarter – from the campaign’s October quarterly campaign finance report filed with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
There were seven contributions form Washington, D.C., four from Georgia, five from Kansas, four from Maryland, five from New York, and fourteen from Virginia, just to name a few.

The distribution of contributions from Missouri and from Out of State to Josh Hawley’s (r) 2016 Attorney General campaign for the third quarter – from the campaign’s October quarterly campaign finance report filed with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
It’s not like there are campaign contribution limits in Virginia [pdf] and they need someplace else to spend all their money.
While the campaign has a lot of cash on hand it hasn’t burned through it at a high rate (as if there’s been time).
