After doing so badly in Florida, Santorum has surged from behind for huge frothy victories in Missouri and Minnesota.

Does anyone think that Santorum will get 50% of the delegates next month in the GOP caucus?

Some of the outstate blue counties are August Democrats/November Republican counties (counties with lots of Democrats on the county level, which vote for Republicans more often than Democrats in state/federal elections). I find it interesting that despite having a Dem primary which the GOTV amounted to a few e-mails mentioning the existence of a primary, Obama won more votes than Mitt Romney in the entire state of Missouri today.
Mitt Romney’s 30% favorability rating (source: PPP) is not helping him out in Missouri, is it?
I worked yesterday in a very R area of West County. The biggest comments/questions I got from the voters (10% at our polling place) were:
1. Where is Newt?
2. Why does the news say this doesn’t count?
I wish I could have answered the way I wanted but had to answer as non-patisan as possible.
What I wanted to know was why would you support someone who doesn’t even take the time or effort to run in you state? And how can you support a party that takes away the vote from you?
One of the poll workers I was with was very knowledgeable on the caucus system. Interesting and confusing. Now that the voters have been taken out of the loop the Rs who know how to game the system can do what they want.
All in all a good day at the polls. We need more workers! Please join! (I do not work for the election board)
